PLEASE - UNITE
by muraleedharan nishanth on Jul 27, 2008 12:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dear all, please do not take this opportunity to create communal disharmony. Remember, we are a SECULAR country and Muslims, Hindus, Christians - all of us are humans. Yes there are rotten apples in the basket, but we should stand up and say - WE ARE INDIANS to begin with and HUMAN BEINGS to end with. No matter what ideology you follow, no matter how many bombs you blast, we will stand up and support the families and people who suffer (which may include our own near and dear ones). United, we will thwart whatever these people lacking social and moral values and education do.
At this time of angst, let us stand up and pledge - We, the PEOPLE of INDIA, stand TOGETHER, stand UNITED in the fight against terrorism. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO STOP US!
An INDIAN

We have been on number of occasion been at the receiving end, but we have moved on. It is not your country, it is OUR COUNTRY and we have to live in harmony. The trouble with most people is that they think with their hopes or fears or wishes rather than with their minds. And for you giving it back, give your best to promote peace, love and understanding.

very well said..........There is no point of blaming each other...We should feel proud to be a secular country and still developing in a rapid speed with so many communal problems........No Other country in the World would have done that.......This has happened only becuase most of us (leaving few useless people here and there) believes that we are INDIANS first

unfinished agenda
by Rajiv Saikia on Jul 27, 2008 12:26 PM  Permalink

There was a common trend during early 80s to early 90s when anything remotely wrong and seemingly out of control of the ruling party, inevitably congress in those days, was promptly balmed on the handiwork of 'foreign hand' . The govt would draw a simili and dare not pronounce a name to the 'foreign hand'. The spineless policy of dealing with foreign stimulated and aided acts of terrorism can perhaps be traced to those heady era of Indira Gandhi led Congress-I rule. India had the Soviets as ally at that time mind you. But it took a K.P.S. Gill who fought eye for an eye and blood for blood war with terrorists and annhiliated them in punjab. The same approach was never applied in the case of Jammu and Kashmir where JKLF was given the status of a political party. Despite having the clue in their hand Congress govt then at the cntre left terrorism to simmer in J&K. Agenda left unfinished then is having a mortal effect, especially on unsuspectinig civillians not even remotely connected to acts of governence. These humourous allegations of RSS and Bajrang Dal being the orchestrators of recent bomb blasts brings back old memories, this time though the hand being 'Indigenous' rather than 'foreign'. But it also points fingers at people who had flogged this blame game on 'foreign hand' till even the pakistanis were no longer laughing. After all khalistanis killed to quell terrorism in Punjab were all Indians and not 'Foreign' by any chance. But the terrorists have no doubts as to their

the blame for this terrorism has to be laid at the doors of the congress and the anti bjp parties. in and out of the parliament, in debates, the social workers and the lawyers are constantly talking about the godhra incident. it is never allowed to be forgotten. they are responsible for inciting communal trouble. this angle also has to be taken into account when the cause, source and the protection of the country from terrorism are discussed.

strengthen the law enforcing agencies
by P.G.Panikkar on Jul 27, 2008 12:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1.we should strengthen our police and internal security systems.
2.Internal passports should be introduced for every Indian as an identity.
3.Before issuing any rail/air/bus ticket, giving hotel rooms it should be mandatory to get a photo copy filed or swamping of this passport/identity card done.
4.All internet cafes should be asked to have cams and get the photos of visitors recorded.
All these measures will help law enforcing agencies monitor the movements of criminals
Regards,
PGPanikkar

a terrorist is a terrorist and he should be killed. but now it seems to originate from a particular community who is represented by surya here . We don't call all the people in this religion a terrorist but soon this will lead to a situation like this where all these elements will make us Indians believe that all those in the said religion are dreaded terrorists and then this will boil out much higher than what you imagine. The community should themselves kill all these rogues and end this menace else things will go much worser from here on

As like in Gulf countries, should have a Civil ID system.

Infact the Election card system started by T.N.Sheshan was very much similar to this.

No work of any sort can be done without Civil ID's.

Is that the way you want to leave in your own country.....why not catch hold of all nefracious elements and prosecute and punish very harshly through fast track courts.

More than that people have to come out and say enough with minority appeasement.....compete equally with all

what about swooping down heavily on corruption?no matter what system we put in place we Indians know how to make it useless.Let the arms coming from Foreign countries be stopped by honest policemen,CRP in the borders.Putting cams etc in internet wont help in arms trade.Arms smuggling will continue no matter what.Corruption and other forms of injustice should be stopped, only then this security features will be effective. Our intelligence is rendered useless because police is corrupted.Police is corrupted due to politicians asking money. There is not any Law in this country, what Law will exist.Law is purely technical,it can be bent and circumvented. If you are innocent and stay in a hotel in some other city and you are harassed by cops on flimsy grounds to extract money, then where is the question of morality and Law? Our top level politicians and decision makers are all money mongers..This country is doomed..

Why hindus like Pranab Mukherhee /Arjun Singh/or the likes are in congress when they know the appeasement policies of the congress` party?
Obviously they are holding 'hindu' names only, by actions they are not 'hindus'
They are 'power hungry!
Its the people's foolishness to BELIEVE THAT THESE
'FAKE HINDUS' WILL DO SOME GOOD TO THEM!
NEVER!
HOW CAN THEY SHOW ALLIANCE WITH AN ITALIAN WOMAN?
MEANS NO SENSE OF NATIONAL FEELING ALSO!
PEOPLE SHOULD BETTER BOYCOTT THESE MEN IN THE RUN FOR GRABBING POWER!

Thats a good choice on a serious note RSS is really required to be boosted up as a peoples organization to counter terrorists as the govt looks impotent and direction less guided by people like surya who are either cowards or anti nationals
