nice to see that spirit of Rajiv is alive ... you and your mom may not be a natural leader like Indira or natural charmer like Rajiv ... you have given evidence that your heart is in the right place. we agree with you. keep up the good work and we hope you rise above party politics as you proclaim.
At least there is one politician talking sense. Instead of appreciating that I find that a number of nitwits are writing drivel and tripe in these columns. This is why we are where we are comapred to China.
Its sad to see the mindset that Rahul Gandhi is in. He seems convinced that the people of India are fools or maybe Idiots. He is saying that his govt will go ahead with the nuke deal even if it costs him an election. But the fact that if the country votes out the govt it will mean a rejection of the govt policies doesnt seem to register in Rahul Gandhi's radar.
It is premature and childish to say that at whatever cost the N-deal will go ahead. Election means an expenditure of about Rs. 40,000 crores and to drink a cup of tea we may have to give a twenty/fifty rupee note depending on the inflation in the coming days. US is very clear in its statements unlike Indians who donot speak proper language. The Americans say they will see to it that the deal will pass in their country and there is no problem even if it McCain or Obama. Why should Indians get excited to such an extent that whatever may happen N-deal will go ahead? Many new technologies like fusion technologies may be cheaper or Hydrogen technology may be used in every house in the near future. let us not build 100 nuclear rectors at one stroke. There should be watch and wait policies.

What sort of a name is noir preto? Are you a man or a woman or somewhere in between?
I wonder if Rahul's party people are so gung-ho about losing their gaddi in order to have the nuclear deal. In any case the next govt. will find a way to repudiate this dubious deal struck under the table.
