Why was POTA removed??????
by Sanjay Enselvan on Jul 27, 2008 12:52 AM  Permalink

Story of Congress is over-with this blast terrorists have actually kicked congress of any decent performance in the next elections.Congress must tell nation why POTA was removed.Indian muslims may be innocent-but we must not forget that world worst islamic state is in our neighbourhood!!!Sonia Gandhi has not undrstood the impact of terrorists even after what happened to Rajiv!!!!Shame.POTA is the answer to this evil and we should stop blaming particular religion and see the incompetencies of Manmohan singhs government. His helplessness is felt by every Indian-to appease a minority-you cannot destroy a nation in which hindus, sikhs and muslims are just a part!!!! Its a sin to have weak prime minister who cannot act!!!!!

Difficult times difficult questions...
by QandA on Jul 27, 2008 12:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

1) Why is the Police Commissioner appointed by the Chief Minister. Why can't he/she be elected by the people of the city which he/she is going to police?

2) Why is a Police Commissioner appointed by a Chief Minister. Why can't the PC be elected by the people who he is going to Police?

3) Why is the IB / CBI appointed by PM. Can they be also elected by the people

4) Why is the PM appointed by Sonia? Shouldn't the PM reflect the will of the people?

5) Why is a politician allowed to be elected from 2 cities? (Sonia's first election was from Amethi and Belery 2 different cities?

6) How can the 50 yr British criminal laws be changed when the democrcacy is written in English which common people do not understand?

7) How come the same politician is allowed to be elected as CM infinite times? E.g. Jyoti Basu of West Bengal

8) How can we make Democracy so that no dynasties can exploit it? E.g Gandhi Dyansty

9) Since media is owned by politicians do we need a public funded Media? NPR and DEMOCRACYNOW are the 2 largest public media in US..

10) Can there be an organization like NAACP who can fight for people in the court on a free basis. This is again funded by people. Then people will no use BOmBs to demand justice for whatever they think..

11) If 25 crores can change your vote, is there something called as Bharat?

Agree dear!! Whom we are calling policy makers are their own home maker. Democracy, govt of people, by the people and for the people. but nobody here can see these things rather then govt of politicians by the people but only for politician themselves. Today one can see all the politician's wealth growing manifolds while they are in sarkar and nobody is doing anything just to get favor of public they direct the investigating agencies to arrest one and to release them nothing else... Can we grow in this dirty politics... One can think that we are just above($950 PCI) the poverty line drawn by UN and countries like US are far away from us($35,000 PCI)while india is having more talent than US. It is the time for common man to think about the image of India whether we want to be considered as a poor country or our older image of Golden sparrow in the time of Kings not elected by peoples and not for the peoples!!!!!

-Very nice prepositions mate.

-Do you think people with power in our country are at all bothered about governance?

-This country is like an inventory/stock which could be sold whenever they get a good deal or a good price, everyone is interested in getting a cut of the whole pie.

-These media people, do you think they want to make a point??? they just want to raise topics that are selling topics. Poeple will talk about it, they will get many viewers, and they will make money. Again the media want a cut from the pie.

-We common people are full of emotions and feelings of patriotism for our motherland, but we are helpless because the system is such that right people can not come forth and make their presence felt. With these i refer to the concept in Mani-ratnam's movie Yuva, in which a few brave youngsters try to change India's destiny but ultimately it happened so that they ended up in a mess of politics. Not only the movie was a flop, but the whole revolutionary idea became a bundle.

-Do you think, this situation could ever change in India? do you think youngsters will be promoted? Do you think advancement in technology will bring any changes? do you think these blasts will lead the governance to any measures that will halp prevent such blasts in the future? Do you think humanity will eventually survive all evils? IF you think it is possible..I will say..keep dreaming...and hope for a miracle to happen some day..

- wait and watch.

Not terrorist but congress is culprit
by Ramesh Iyer on Jul 27, 2008 12:33 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Please mind this is not terrorist hand work. They usually will go with high intensity like RDX and all. The Cong did not like winning of BJP in Karnataka and the Gujarat & also they wanted to defend the BJP's accuse on Congress that the cneter's last 4 years in power did nothing to counter the terrorism. To turn the table against BJP itself- the accuse on no action on terrirism by center the Congress only has done this but with the low internsity bomb. Please note that they have not hung the terrorist Afzal even after the Supreme Court ruled hanging. These two serial bombs took place in capitals of Karnataka and the Gujarat within the six months of the recent elections in these states in which BJP won and happend after the trust vote on Congress interestingly.

Read these :

3 main motives

1) BJP wants to win elections, and with the support of BJP state government's; these blasts may have occured in a p[olitical scenario whre BJP wants to make a point in the coming elections that Cong has not done anything about terrorism.

2) Terrorists interested in unsettling the country. if this is the case: no motive and only revenge. Only targeting pro-hindu governments.

3) Cong trying to prove that BJP although says that they can counterbalance terrorism but there is proof that they failed in their own states.

Now I leave it on you, whatever you want to believe!!!!

In my opinion, these bomb blasts were with a political motive with only 6 months to go for National elections. These were home made low- intensity bombs, which means they were not seriously targetting casualties. This leads us to believe they just want to make a point.

IF these blasts become a political "mudda" in the coming elections, then the one which benefits could be the culprit.

Wait and watch...

Leave about Afjal, atleast he is in prison. But the great patriotic BJP leaders handed over the horrible terrorist masood ajhar safely to his friends in a royal way. Why did they not hang him once they came into power. Don't blindly support BJP just because you have some favor towards that party. All parties are in the same way. No matter whether its BJP or Cong or Thirdfront all parties are cheating the public in the name of Caste / Religion etc.

Massod Azar was released to secure the release of 180 common civilians who were held hostage in a far away place called Kandhar. Why everyone is forgetting the Rubayia Sayeed episode? It was when 3 horrible terroist masterminds were released for the exchange of one daughter of the home minister of this country. If the first one was not patriotic then how do you define the second one??

Stop blaming, religion and caste
by Vipul Kulkarni on Jul 27, 2008 12:27 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its high time the people of this country woke up and realise that blaming religion and faith is never an answer to our problems.

We elected a government and we have entrusted it with responsibilty of protecting us. Its time we start pulling up these forces and hold them accountable for these failures. We should ensure that the govenrment and the administration puts into place a mechanism where we can expect a safe environment for ourselves and our children.

Petitions, PILS,pressure groups,representations,etc... or whatever a citizen can do should be done by citizens..Media...the fifth estate now should live up to its responsibilty take the lead in ensuring that safety and security of the citizens remains the No.1 agenda for any governemnt that is in power.

But the problem is that not every faith has the same rules, or the same ethics toward others. When some communities are refusing to assimilate and mocking the nation, mocking nationalism, and mocking those who consider security an important issue, then it destroys their credibility. Then others feel concern about them for good reason.

It seems Indian hardcore terrorists are all Indian Muslims emboldened in their activities due to the present UPA government in Delhi and their UPA partners ruled Indian states are protecting them for their activities against Hindus.
