How can we fight Terrorism 1. Techanical Superiority - Terrorists had thrown all the technical superiority down the drain and brought WTC down in seconds. 2. Better economical condition - Terrorists will use planes instead of Bi-cycles 3. Better vigilance - With our magnitude of Population we can never be 100% vigilant. Can we expect 100% checking of all passengers on a Railway station or say the local trains in Mumbai. What we need is a better, determined government to fight all root issues and if the govt is good automatically all such problems will get sorted out. HOW TO GET A BETTER GOVT ???? Simple make VOTING COMPULSORY - have dictatorship to have GOOD DEMOCRACY.. On the day of election- No trains, no flights - no theatres, no multiplexes everybody has to home and VOTE.. and anyways.. instead of all these closed for 2-3 times in a year due to fear of Terror strikes - better to have everthing closed for a DAY in 5 years.. A sacrifice of all this for a DAY will give us Good government as if there is going to be @ 100% voting political parties will be forced to Field good candidates, so irrespective of the party we will have good government. Election commission can also think of voting thru SMS, net etc, but the purpose should be 100% voting, all this minority appeasement, votebank politics will come to end and WE WILL HAVE A STRONG INDIA.. any takers.. am sure will get lot of negative comments as most of the people writing here dont go for voting.
Dera Sir, First of all as a national parties VP, give your condelocence to the victims dead & their clans virtually dead even alive. Condemn the attrocity by the group. This blasts not only in BJP ruled states as you say. Hyderabad , Coimbatore, Ajmer, Delhi, Bombay, Lucknow etc.etc all these staes ruled by which party. Go for the real issue, instead of misleading the citizens by showing the wrong way. Be strong in convicting this group who is destabilising the peace & harmony of the nation. Yesterday Karnataka, Today Gujarat, Tomorrow where. Concentrate to avoid instead of allianating from the direction of nabbing these culprits. Samy
From 1947, any Hindu standpoint was suppressed strongly by Congress and the media. Jan Sangh was hounded by them for years. In some cases, the Dist. Magistrates would not allow them to hold meetings, whereas all other parties were allowed to in the same place. Press never covered the Jan Sangh's arguments and comments. 1) To stop the partition slaughter, on both sides of the border, the Maha Sabha asked for a "civilised, organised, population exchange" done on a voluntary basis from both countries. Nehru rediculed the idea. 2) When Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was illegally imprisoned in Kashmir and killed in jail, Nehru never bothered to investigate, replied in angry tones to an appeal by the widow of Shyama Prasad. 3) From two seats in Parliament, BJP increased to 84 seats, few in the media bothered to investigate why the "new Sangh", the BJP was getting popular, when the Communists and Praja Socialists could not compete with the Congress. 4) The coverage of Gujarath in the Indian media was appalling. Many "news items" were fictions. The media created many myths - repeated by lots of people, even in these posts. 5) Riots would have happened in any part of India, if a train full of people was torched after making sure people cannot get out - irrespective of the communities involved.
BJP's image is a "media" creation. The people of Jaipur, Bangaluru and Ahmadabad are paying the price of this "manufactured" image.

Indpakshi, The news item says that BJP-ruled states are the targets. Jaipur, Bangluru and Ahmadabad are all in BJP-ruled states. That is correct. So, where is the "blame game" that you advise against?
Prashant,
Your angry reaction is not helping. You seem to have brought in another "always angry" poster, "malcom.." who has mostly one thought in his mind - "CASTE". No matter what the main issue, these people will bring in "caste" and "Manu". That is it. For some of my posts, they will totally bypass the points I make but focus only on the surname, "iyer". Are you surprised, Arjun Singh does what he does to gain the votes of these people? May be Arjun Singh knows better than us.
