How bout this, form an Indian Muslim group possibly consisting of a good majority of Muslims...then strongly condemn these acts of terrorism and tell them(terrorists) that basic ethics or common sense suggests if majority is happy with the current situation why do ill to a nation ?

No problem with our education, but the curriculum following in some Madrasas are the problem. They teach kids that all non believers of Allah are the enemies of Islam and non believers are to be killed. Stop the system of Madrasas and let Muslim boys study in other schools even Christian run schools doesnt teach hatred like Madrasas do.
People on this board promoting hatred should be banned from rediff! Our nation is reeling from this tragedy to begin with and the last thing we all need as mature and sensible Indians is ignorance and fanning the flames. These acts actually work in favor of these corrupt politicains who will not do jack...go to Pakistan and sip tea with them after lecturing us Indians about how they are with us in our struggles! I just want to vomit!
I am an Indian Muslim and I love my country. Maybe it is shocking for a Hindu to see that. But most Indian muslims feel the same way. The only problem is that their love for India is never put on front page news while these acts are.

No one has to prove their patriotism to anyone just because they from Muslim / some particular community. It is a wrong criterio. We have to be honest with ourselves and assess the scale of first our own Indianness first.

That's what we need. Us Indians have strong bonds as Hindus and Muslims and outsiders are clearly jealous of that. Which other country has what India has in terms of religious harmony? Look around the world and people are constantly fighting each other over religion. But here we have long history of being friends. Hell, we even kicked the British out together. So we should be able to withsatnd this together.

those time of blaming certain caste and then getting away with crime, dividing people, coversion, etc are gone!!
The way the terrorists are striking at our metros with impunity and alacrity shows how indifferent, incompetent and impotent our government is. There is total lack of political will on the part of the government to tackle this problem head on. The government should stop minority appeasement policy for it's vote bank and start some introspection as to how to stop this menace. Bring back POTA immediately and hang Afzal Guru straightaway without much ado. It would send a strong message to the terrorists that the government is serious about this problem. It is the high time government woke up to this challenge and took some concrete measures. Otherwise we would be sitting ducks for the terror organisations.
