The CD in Parliament
by Vinaya Das on Jul 26, 2008 11:05 AM  Permalink

The BJP must answer why they stormed the well of the house and started throwing currency notes without taking the permission of the Speaker. It was an act of gross indiscipline.Everything in the House is done as per established Parliamentary procedure. What they did was incorrect. If they had a genuine complaint they should have approached the Speaker and with his permission given out their side of the story. Now it appears they just wanted to create a drama and seek publicity to hide the shame of the defeat that was facing them in the Parliament.

Lets be frank here, Rajdeep Sardesai and his buddies at CNN-IBN hate BJP. Those CDs may show BJP in a favorable light, that is, if they have not doctored them already. This possibility is extremely uncomfortable to CNN-IBN.

Save India

Talk CD, bribe, democracy, .... The robber has gone with the loot. Think over
The government will be busy signing the many contracts for the projects.
It is time for the Intelligentsia, the NGOs and non political organizations and individuals (Social activists) to find ways to work for making transparency in the various agencies engaged in the signing of contracts and other formalities.
Let there be a detailed study regarding the pros and cons of each project. I mean public debate.
Let the present government or the coming government pass an act empowering some 'BODY' to evaluate every project from evaluation, construction to commissioning and running.
It can be termed as 'SOCIAL AUDIT'.
Let all the papers connected with the projects be within the ambit of Right to Information Act 2005
including the project study, award of contracts, construction and running.
The government will proceed as they please quoting several rules /codes.
The parliamentarians will be purchased to move along with.
I doubt very much whether any political party with special interests will agree to the suggestions.
Time is ripe to make an effort to change the Indian polity. Look at the way political parties are involved in the 'horse trading'. No paucity in principles and philosophy in preaching.
Every thing is done with an ulterior motive.

Advani should be tried for the direction to take money to Parliament
by Krishnakumar Desai on Jul 25, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Advani seems to be the main culprit, As a responsible leader of opposition he should not have asked the tainted MPs to carry the currency notes to Parliament and put up on table for tv screening without taking the permision from presiding dy. speaker who seemed to be the weakest person . Now speaker or any MP should move priviledge motion against Advani and his three musketeers. Speaker should instead of holding enquiry into the incident which took place outside the parliament send all the papers including the tv piece to Relevant Police station to enquire and file the case in court of law. What can you expect from Advani as Prime Minister after his connivance to air the currency notes for tv coverage ?

Questions
by Patriot on Jul 25, 2008 10:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There is something fishy for the BJP leadership to register official complaint it took 3 days. They planned stinger operation to somehow stall the voting fully knowing that opposition would loose Trust Vote.It is against the provisions of Indian law to carry the money in crores into the Parliament House. How can they prove if anybody questions them that they have not carried the money to buy the votes of Ruling Party. The M.P.s of BJP who tarnished the image of Indamn parliament by collecting money to raise Parliament, now took their money into the Parliament to tarnish the imageof india before the world. the entire issue is being condemned by the rational Indian

There is nothing wrong in BJP using the corrupt congress bribery to stall the trust vote. Its a fair game. Its not illegal. Can we atleast make this argument sensible?
