There is no (iii) indigenous technology developed in the soil of West Bengal till date which can claim itself as a competitive technology round the globe under global economic scenario. Though few software / BPO industries have been developed in West Bengal based on the economy of developed countries like USA, Europe, (iv) it is far ahead to achieve “industrial self-reliance” by any industry based on the economy of India. If the illegal ‘local distilleries’ (it becomes ‘legal’ depending upon the amount of the bribe given to the police and local administration as well as cadre of CPIM/CPI!!) like ‘Chullu’ made in various corners of West Bengal is called ‘small scale industries’, I will be very happy if the Government of West Bengal discloses the amount of the revenue (bribe) generated by these ‘small scale’ industries!! The state of affairs of administration as well as legal system in Bengal can be understood by these ‘small scale industries’!
One of the agendas stated by the 1978 paper published in ‘Social Scientist’ journal by the then Govt of West Bengal was (v) the ‘gradual expansion of the public sector’! May I request the present Govt of West Bengal to let me know what are the measures that have been taken by them to expand ‘gradually’ the public sectors?
It is really surprising that VS Achutanandan is commenting on somnath Chatterji. VS was himself expelled from the CPI-M. The fact that Karat sympathises with him (being a Mallu) is well know
Congress is going to make speaker - Governor of some important state like Gujarat or Maharastra in few days so for Speaker - his old party and party freinds and Party's culture and tradition is of no importanance now..
He was in a very happy mood during 2 days Truct Vote session.
"The Central Committee decided that no member of the party should remain the Speaker of Lok Sabha after the withdrawal of support. We were asked to communicate this to him. He did not agree. We had no option (but to take action)," Karat said. My question is, if it was so, why did CPM not take action before the Trust Vote was taken? Why did the CPM wait till the fate of the motion was decided?
SOMNATH CHATTERJEE IS THE NO.1 CHEATER IN INDIA THE CONGRESS PARTY WILL THROWN HIM IN TO DUST BIN, ACTUALLY HE IS THE PLAY BOY OF THE CONGRESS AND DIRTY AMAR SINGH. NOBODY CAN'T BLAME KARAT HE IS THE GENERAL SECRETARY OF CPI-(M) AND P.B. HAS TAKEN THE ACTION AGAINST SOMNATH .

The words you are using the great man like Speaker really regretable. I did the work beyond the party poltics as he is performing the role of SPEAKER.
I quote the 1st paragraph of a publication in a journal by Govt of West Bengal in 1978 January: "THE major goals of the Left Front Government over the long run should be: (a) reversal of the trend towards industrial stagnation, (b) arresting the growth of unemployment and providing for increased employment in the industrial as well as agricultural sectors; (c) encouraging the growth of small and cottage industries, (d) lessening the stranglehold of the monopoly houses and multinational firms on the economy of the State, (e) encouragement of indigenous technology and industrial self-reliance, (f) the gradual expansion of the public sector, and (g) increasing the control of the actual producers, that is, the workers, over the industrial sector." [Author: Government of West Bengal, Industrial Policy for West Bengal". Social Scientist, Vol. 6, No. 6/7, Special Number of West Bengal, (Jan. - Feb., 1978), pp. 103-108.]
If one goes through the afore-said paragraph of the quoted article, citizens of India as well as West Bengal will notice a vast anomalous with the state of affairs of Govt of West Bengal. In the next sections, I will try to analyse each of the agendas of the ‘Communist’ Govt. They have not been able till date to (i) 'arrest the growth of unemployment'!!
The ‘Communist’-led Govt of Bengal has not yet been able to (ii) reduce the 'stranglehold of the monopoly houses and MNC on the economy of the State'.

Simple logic is that more Power Generation means more indusrial productivity and more employment opportunities. CPM while opposing the Nuke deal is not giving any alternative options for enhancing power generation. With the signing of the deal with US, we are aiming at a broader co-operation with other countries as well, who can help us to build and run Nuclear reactors for power generation. We have to have some kind of understanding with the rest of the world to share Nuclear technology and fuel and with US having an upper hand in such kind of issues, with such a deal they are indrectly giving the green signal to other Countires like Australia to assist India for our requirments in this regard. Such a kind of deal with any other Country will not be of any use, unless US agrees to it and if it is with US itself, then everyone will agree to it. If anyone has difference of openion with President Bush, it has nothing to do with Nuclear deal, because we are signing the agreement with US Government and not with an individual. After President Bush's term is Completed then next President will come, but US as a Country will remain as the same. So CPM should think from a broader angle and they should realise that they are Indians and need to respect the Indian Constitution first and their party consitution is only secondary.
I do never support congress and do like its policies. But I strongly stand by them and support them at this point in time of Nuclear Deal. It is good for the country to be energy independent.

dear blind
what do mean by enery independent. How many developed country using nuclear energy. How can develop infrastructer for nuclear energy. What you have you can't use is properly. Now going to develop a very expensive method to generate energy. If congress will work this method very honestly from today your next generation can see the energy independency.

As West Bengal is suffering from UTTER LAWLESSNESS, I quote Beirne & Hunt (1988) again to elucidate the FATE OF Lenin out of the same type of social crisis happened in old Russia: “The need for this form of public law is the major lesson of the history of the first socialist experiment and the contribution to it, with its strengths, its weaknesses, and its silences, of Lenin”!
A comparative study reveals that the resolutions of the First CPIM-led left Govt in West Bengal with that of their State-of-Affairs are conflicting as well as contradictory, which helps generation of a very strong group of opportunists, Nouveau-riche, Kulaks, Comprador Bourgeoisie which have built political party like CPIM / CPI.
I fear that the ‘Communism’ is a ‘lost paradise’ (Buss, 1993)! It will be a research agenda for the social scientists and economists ‘Why the Nouveau-riche Communists selected the soil of West Bengal for their growth? Another research agenda is not far off: ‘How does Global Economic Chain kill the “Marxism” in West Bengal?’
Constitution should change now and not a single member of parliament should absent during confidence vote. Most important is when any party withdraw support of govt. President should ask govt for confidence vote immi. i.e. next day or max after two days. If govt will get more days then it always happen "Kharidari" of members irrespective of party / parties in the govt.
