What a discovery now. We have to watch when you comment the same way with Jyothi Basu, Karat, Ab Bardhan etc. Stalinwas eulogise when he was alive. He was demonised by communists after his death( loss of power). Same thing happend to Krischev and Brezhnev. These are the communist traits.

First Somnath chatterjee is Indian, He has taken oath under indian consitution. CPI(M) is not above Indian consititution. What is Party? I think all MP's have first duty towards indian government and then Party.

Though I am not a Communist,personally, I feel Somnath should have abided party lines(and so other rebels or bribe takers of other parties)when he was elected on Party's ticket. The Parliament should have chosen other speaker first.
It is ridiculous of communist parties in India. They have lost sanity. Communist parties love allignment with Old Communist Block which has become non existent or almost close to that. Former communist block is struggling with their own problems. In a unipolar world we should orient ourselves to sides that benefit us rather than just fight in the dark.

Shri Somnah Chatterjee knows everything about the communist party. It is surprized that why such a great leader has acted like this. It is the Polit bureau and central committee is taking the decision in communist party and not an individual decision. Prakash Karat has nothing to do in this. He has to obey the decision of Polit bureau.
Come on Mr.Sahadevan KK. What is your opinion on the issue ? According to me the decission taken by the party is correct. Afterall no one should be above party. Somnath Chatterjee was elected as MP from West Bengal on CPM ticket. He was appointed the Speaker of Lok Sabha because of party, then first of all he is a party cadre. He has to loyal first to party.

If traitor somnath quits his MP post which he won due the party and recontests , he will not get more than 6 votes(that of his family). But if he wins on a party ticket,, his victory is due to the lakhs of ordinary party workers (their labour and money) , so traitor somnath dont get carried away with the Governor post being offred by UPA. Prakash,Brinda, Dr.MMS are the people who are holding high profile office posts, without contesting elections and have no intention to contest as well. karat was a stdent leader in Jawaharlal Nehru University, so was Brinda in some other university.Dr.Singh had his followers everywhere, but have not faced electorate.
