funny thing is even china is behind india in the nuke deal. saudi arabia is a good ally of usa so this whole brainwashing of this being anti muslim was done by mayawati for her muslim vote bank. bjp has lost brownie points in not supporting a deal they started. also whole of indian public is now aware of the deal and its benefits right till the common village man. if congress plays its cards right till next election in april, it has got a good chance to get reelected as the deal has got it the support from middle class now whose support had declined for congress from the 90s.

You must be kidding.. BJP and Saudi never go along.. may be left parties got money from China, anyway its nice to see MMS win at last, thought the honey-moon between him and SP is gonna break anytime, he cud smile for few days.. but ultimately this win will turn out to be a loss for UPA as more critical issues popping up.. and UPA will definitely have difficult time in the next election.. bad thing is Cong and SP did horse trading to save their ass.. hope more enquiries happen regarding this..

Two Can Play this Game
by All Right on Jul 23, 2008 11:56 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So who to believe what the price of a MP is?

CPI says Rs 25 crores. BJP even claimed Rs 100 crores. Yet in the drama enacted by BJP, only Rs 1 crore was displayed.

- So when a Congress MP defects to BJP - knickerwallahs say no bribes.

- When a SP MP defects to BSP, the Commies say no bribe. When Siddique defected to BSP, again no bribe.

- When JDS and Lok Dal defects to UNPA, both commies and knickerwallahs rub their hands in glee and say no bribes.

- Only when a BJP MP defects to Congress party, then BJP & CPM join together to crow "Bribes, bribes"

Commies and Knickerwallahs should know that two can play any game.

At the time of Left withdrawal, the UPA-SP combine had 276 seats. Once the cross-voting pattern comes out, it will be seen that there was equal defection from the UPA to the opposition. In fact, the UPA lost 1 vote. So the UPA were net losers of the defection game not the opposition.

Surely when the opposition plays dirty, you do not expect a ruling party not to protect its own interests, even responding in the same kind.

Fancy the BJP trying to take the moral high grounds. Just two weeks ago, their government induced 6 opposition MLAs to defect. They were made to quit their seats and all made Ministers. Before that the BJP was short of 5 seats to a simple majority. They bought all 6 independents, made 5 of them ministers.

The BJP should realize the old adage - People in Glass Houses should not throw stones

Common buddy, politics is full of corruption and bribes, the gifts Mayawati receive is nothing but bribe, just need common sense.. you may be right by saying which ever party move towards or against UPA might have received money, but end of the day what matters is who have to guts to say it.. also hope you know "no one can bring big money (hard cash) into parliament or assembly" may be BJP some how sneaked 1 crore in.. boss all know money play important role in this kind of situation.. what matter is who bow their head and who keep their head straight..

By then, these MPs including PM will settle well with all relatives, sons and grandsons in some advanced country like USA / Australia, and visit India once a year to collect all the freebies they get as ex-leaders.

Congress and Sonia, more so understood the psyche and constitution of the country than any others - including BJP or CPI/M, and Karat. They dont just understand but use the power of Money to get what they wanted. Hope this may not be a biiger scam than the Bofors, before congress is out of Power. They have already proved that Scams are hard to punish, especially if it involves multiple nations.

Whats wrong with the original message. Is not the cost factor important here??You are not spending the money from your pocket.1991 was a success because it was deemed to be.This on is a real failure.

do u know radiation poison is untreatable ?

if even 25% of this money is invested in renewable sources then indian can meet its energy req.

especially solar energy.and with less damage to envorinment.

It is not about environment after all. It is all about being together in the race. Nuclear radiation is not the only and major source of environment damage. There are other major things too to be considered before that.

Ugly drama
by shashi kant on Jul 23, 2008 11:54 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

We all knew that bribery/horse trading were part of the game. But by bringing the money inside parliament, BJP has exposed the ugly face of Indian politics and democracy to the entire world. That was irresponsible from BJP and I don't see how they are going to get any political mileage out of this.

Arre Sir... this is what the bhajpayees specialize in. They have no content to talk of so they compensate for that thru rhetoric. What George Bush did in Iraq is what they did in Gujarat. They fooled the Hindus in believing their lives & businesses were at risk because of muslims next door. This is what they did when they demolished the Babri masjid. This is what Sushma Stupid Swaraj was tring to do when she was contesting against Sonia Gandhi. This is what Rady was trying to do when he was shouting "UPA govt. has unleashed economic terror on the people by increasing petrol prices". They will keep doing this again and again and again. When you don't have substance, you rely in drama and that's what BJP does best. Unfortunately, Indians are emotional fools and they buy these stories at their face value. We rarely use objective analysis and these bhajpayees are masters at capitalizing on this Indian weakness. Probably 5 generations later people will understand how wrong our generation was when people voted for BJP. Maoists / naxalites are not muslims. LTTE is not muslim, they are hindus but BJP has created the rift between hindus and muslims to catapult themselves to power.
