Certain facts are not disputable. a) Congress, historically, has perfected the aret of winning the confidence vote; b) BJP atleast till Sri Vajpayee lost by one vote did not resort to this type of cheap bargains; c) Morarji Desai did not resort to this pracctice and infact opposed the very thought; d) THERE IS NO GREAT SIGNIFICANCE IN THE MARGIN; IF SPEAKER ACTS IMPARTIALLY, ALL THOSE WHO DEFIED WHIP WILL STAND DISQUALIFIED. ONCE THAT IS DONE, ABOUT 14 VOTES THE CONGRESS GOT THROUGH CROSS VOTING WILL BE GONE; IF THERE ARE A COUPLE OF SUPPORTERS AMONGST THE TEN ABSENTEE MPS, WHERE IS THE GOVERNMENT; e) Most people would have been fed up by what we saw on television and natural sympathy will go to the opposition. SO, AS SOME REPORTERS HAVE BEEN COMMENTING, IT LOOKS LIKE WON THE IMMEDIATE HURDLE AND STANDS TO LOOSE IN THE LONGER ONE;

Sukumar has very correctly echoed the voice that has led to India's troubles - jo jeeta wohi sikander - Disrespective of HOW and WHY - We Indians really care a damn for righteousness, morals and ethics - all that matters is - Jiski lathi uski Bhains!!!
Our comrade again showed what commies are best at: ditching..... All four years as speaker he used statements that "hum ko yahan se hatiye" etc but never took a step himself. Nobody has prohibited anybody in the country to resign form their post, then why look to anybody for stepping down. though speaker is (read should be) immune to partisan politics but the very fact still remains that the person is bound by some idiology so this time it was commie idiology. Now he is out of the flock he still has several options (1) join congerss: not bad as at least for four years he sang in there tune. (2)Write a book: for why he ditched his fellow comrades. (3) form a new commie party viz. CPA here C can be anything commi, comrade,CONGRESS etc Party of Aged (he has Jyoti dada on his side, not sure about harkishan singh) but never never he should step down from the present seat come what may until the new person takes on. He can even join trinmool congress after all they also favoured the govt by not voting. so as of now grand comrade is not short of options and free to carryon his dada Giri....
i have a question to the speaker. the bjp mps have given him 1 crore rupees & cassette showing who bribed them. all will agree that it is a serious offence and why the speaker allowed the voting without taking a decision on whether the proof given is correct or not. even after a day he has not commented anything on this (ie) whether he has seen the cassette and what is his conclusion. we all know that he will now join congress and they will offer him whatever he wants. i am really unhappy over the behaviour of the bjp. it is clear from their behaviour that they don't want the govt to fall now. they must be having a copy of the cassette which they have given to the speaker. why are they not showing to the public, if it is not a drama played by them. dear indians, all these politicians are making us fools. all these political parties have only one agenda, buy hit or crook they want to be in power. we don't know when another rama will be born to save us from these power & money hungry people.whoever has seen yesterday drama in parliament will agree that it was not a victory of the govt but it was a self inflicted defeat by the bjp and its allies.this is the reason why bjp is still finding it difficult to get a majority in parliament. they are not aggressive.
Can we not come out from the mould of Dalit, Muslim, OBC, Gujjar, son of the soil and talk of National and Development issues ? These petty approaches will one day bring grief to our National identity or this is our character ?
Though not wanted, but Mr.Chatterjee should now quit MP post, then must contest again from Bolpur or anyother seat as'Independent' candidate. He will win--then we want him again as a speaker. Though he can remain as a Speaker, it will highten his morality is he quits now as he is no more a memember of a political party. He will win again with great margin. He does not need any plitical color to win. And now by 'showing' red color only--you can not win anymore in West Bengal. Along with Dr.M M Singh, Bengal people kept enough faith on CPM in last election. CPM has lost all credits. We feel sorry that even Bhattaharyya could not go aganist Karat. Politic needs to be on ground--not in JNU Library. Karat spolied everything--now whole India will see how they get extinct from India for ever.
No one from Bengal will forgive them in coming election--rather they will prefer relatively mature and State-Lover Mamata Banerjee. CPIM has no faith or respect on religion, race, community, brotherhood, State-development-- they won't will in cominng assembly and the MP seats will drastically come down in next election. 1. They could not do anything in last 30 yaers. 2. By fighting with center--they have just damaged the state 3. Growth needs cooperation-- and they never coopeare for smooth growth. 4. Mr.Bhattacharrya has felt these issue and people loved him despite Nandigram--but this he has also succumbed to 'JNU politics' of Karat. College politics is good for college-not for men

Buddhadeb is 100 times more dangerous than Jyoti Basu. 15 years before this Bhattacharya forced Jyoti Basu to give a press conference declaring that Mamata and Congres attached by their own party members, killed many people. But Jyoti Basu denied his proposal becauase CPM goons made blood bath on 21st July. By the way I am not support Mamata.

Good one. But I am not infavor of Mr Chaatterjee resigning and contest election etc. Despite pressure from his party, he has stood up and conducted the proceedings in a most dignifide manner (though the members were not)

Did you ever vote for earlier when he contested as a CPM member? No. As he has defied your arch enemy, you are ready to vote for him. What do you want to prove. I have read your messages. Most of the time they are abusive. That shows to what type of family you belong to. You may be of "samajpati" surname, your name cannot be "Sukumar". Because your antics are not SUKUMAR-like (literally, if you have that much education to understand). Also, as far as I know, there was a renowned football player by that name who represented India and also is a good classical vocal singer.
It is true that RSSBJP wanted the NDeal to go throuh and their antics was all drama !There MP's even in the past had been caught taking money on TV and asking questions after taki8ng money !
