confidence motion
by satyananda rao on Jul 23, 2008 09:32 PM  Permalink

Nuclear deal is not political issue.politicians started playing politics with it.Where is the necissity for so called withdrawal of support knowing fully well the iflation would go worse if elections are to be held.
If some of the MPS Casted based on conscience, definetly it welcome sign. We should come out of jails of political parties at least on such most impartant non pilitical issue.POwer secuity is absolute must.I am suprised to see that many MPs hailing from areas using lift irrigation (from under ground ) did not bother to see that power is needed for their farmers and it does not matter from which source it comes. There is nothing in the deal which is objectionable. At last the country has sigh of releif.
India should not live in isolation. by doing so all these years , people were made to wait for getting phones, scooters , cars, housing loans, etc. Every thing is forbidden fruit for indians due to the isolation. Even our scientists in R&D labs were very happy with isolation because they can command and monopolise.no body wants competetion and every one wants monopoly no matter how people were made to suffer . Globalisation , liberalisation, privatisation, computerisation ae still taboos for many politicians i india. It is high time we drive out these sick fellows from india.
The govt should no succumb to blackmail of Regional outfits. RAM SETU PROJECT SHOULD BE shelved to avoid flare ups and take up ganga-kaveri link on priority

don't stoop so low
by VENURAJA gopal Bowenpalle on Jul 23, 2008 09:31 PM  Permalink

Our netas stooped very low.
Since the oppostion knew that they were not going to win their no-confidence motion they stooped low and tried to malign the government by showing some notes.
The whole world was watching yesterday and these shameless politicians (indeed some of them outright criminals straight out of jail)
did not even allow Prime Minister to speak.
They know that PM would be right and he might evoke interest, sympathy across the nation.
So they hooted and shouted at PM , so that he would not read out his well prepared reply to the no-confidence motion against his goverment.
What type of democracy do we have?
Parliamnet members worse than rowdy sheets on the road.
Even in our parliament never before this happened. A Prime Minister was allowed to speak, P.V.narasihma rao did speak and he spoke at length.
Vajpayee spoke and everybody listened in silence.
Devegowda spoke.
why now?
It simply shows that about 23 parties from which MP were elected only degraded in quality.
Probabaly more number of "kutchra admi" the scum of society were elected this time than ever before.
so this is what is called our development and upliftment of masses?
what nonsense .
See the faces of Advani, and Mayawati on TV.
There is no drop of blood on their faces.
Mayawait seems almost became certain that she would sworn in as Prime Minister next day.
She had a hell of a dissappointment and hence her sad face , which was never seen before.
Only Mr.Karat is just the same

KP is deftly avoiding addressing the question of media corruption. Why did the TV channel not air the tapes? Did it also receive wads of cash?

Skeletons in one's own cupboard, I guess. No Congress journalist likes to admit that his colleagues are about as ethical and moral as bribe-giving and bribe-taking MPs

True colours of the neta's
by carlton brass on Jul 23, 2008 09:08 PM  Permalink

All said and done, great comments by one and all. During the debate the quality and manners of our esteemed leaders was brought to the fore for the whole electorate to see. If they dont have the basic manners and decorum, how do we expect our great nation to grow as a world economy? These are the kind of people who rush headlong to grab food at a buffet service and the kind who will do anything to line their pockets at the detriment of the post they hold. We should probably invite the Interim Government of Bangladesh to teach our people a lesson. Yes, I mean right down to the Car Garage service centres that rip people off for nothing!

Victory for Economy

At this stage of Inflation and dipping growth, a General election could have been disaster for the National economy.

Irrespective of who won and by what means, its good news for economy.

no its a disaster for congress and upa only

Next election is in April 2009, do u think that by that time the inflation will magically vanish ? If not, then is it possible to postpone election until the inflation magically vanishes ?

So what do you suggest - postpone elections till eternity if the inflation were not to correct? That would be a good way to stay in power. Keep the inflation go up, up and away to avoid elections. All this talk of "inflation being imported", is as much true as the fact that even the growth that we saw over the past few years was imported. While government wants to bask in the glory of 9% GDP during its tenure, it wants to disown the direct symptom of this same growth - inflation. And now people like you want to throw absurd ideas to curb inflation - avoid elections.

real growth = real inflation minus the so-called growth.
real growth = 15 - 9 = negative 6pct.
that's corrupt gandi party's record.

growth is calculated above the inflation. And inflation is considered for the entire year before coming out with growth figures.

You can expel somebody when he is in your circle. A Lok Sabha speaker is not a member of any party. Reds have once again shown that they are intellectually bankrupt

I disagree entirely. We learnt only one thing. And it is a lesson about the secularist media. This Krishna Prasad fellow appears to be from this club. Congress party bribed everyone (SP only acted on their behalf, lets not kid ourselves), but it does not bother them. Such people have no respect for law and order, and simply are the enemies of our country.

Precisely the point, my friend. When BJP-wallahs bribe, the secularist media do not wait one whole second to make it known and known and known. But it takes Rajdeep Sardesai a very serious amount of time when Congress and its stooges give the bribe. I just read how Rajdeep did not even look at this video, his two juniors did. You can have only one conclusion from this: secularist media do not mind if BJP is wronged.

Its a good article! we rarely find bold articles in media. Newspapers are full of crap, they have to be industry and politicians. We see what has been decided to be shown to us. Well, suprisingly, stock markets kept moving up inspite of a national emergency (no confidence vote) - so what's going on?
We need really strict laws. very strong money laundering and corruption Surveillance. It is surprising that India never responds to demand and supply curve - look at the real estate prices in the country. The interest rates keep going up and so is the demand. However, when the stock markets crash, the demand slips. Grey economy is a prallel economy which is 80% of our while economy.
I think politicians should be acedemically qualified, they should have no vested financial interests and system should be strong to detect corruption and incompetency. I'm sure paparazzi's will do a good job in tracking these politicians and capturing them in a camera.
Probably one reason why we dont have good infrastructre is because once we have a good tracking mechanism, the black trade and corruption will be easily caught.
