TIT FOR TAT
by narasimham kl on Jul 23, 2008 03:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

For what BJP did in Karnataka, no one questions. Even media is silent on this. Advaniji, better accept that what has happened yesterday was a 'tit-for-tat'.

Media is always doing their duty..

No one is saint in politics which includes Congress, BJP,SP or BSP.. atleast left can say that none of their MPs has crossvoted.

Ple do not compare Karnataka with yesterday's episode. In karnataka, after winning the trust vote, the BJP made the MLAs to resign and joined their party. But, yesterday money was paid to cross vote or to abstain.

Mr. George Bush will sleep peacefully tonight.

If the deal goes through, who knows whether the common man in India will ever have peace or not ?

Why do you have so much inferiority complex. We are a powerful country with a population of billion people. Without signing NPT, people are offering us this deal. This speaks about our status. America wants to be with India because it recognises our rising power.

Dear Sir
I have read something about this deal. I have aojection on some contents of deal.
1. IAEA have same agreement with china without hide act. why they puting hide act on us.
2. How we will segregate civil necular & military necular.
3.why America want give us fourtenn old atomic reactors.
4. In IAEA agreent it not clear that every of NSG will suplly unreniam and technology.
5. we will lose right of another blast if do this this agreeemnt will scrap.
6. Why not we shoud develop our technology to use thorium for necular deal.
7.NSG member will splly ureliam only capicity of 20%erichment .

1. Hyde act is not a consideration for IAEA and consequently not for us. Hyde Act is unique to dealings with USA and they are not supplying China with uranium. They cannot even interfere if Canada and Australia chooses to sell, to anybody fulfilling IAEA criteria.
5. We don't lose right of another blast. We don't need another one. Knowledge Management is so highly advanced that even if we went full scale ahead, after 5 years we could make do with a simulation.

Everything is alright now - BUT WE ALL HAVE TO BE ALERT and transparency need be absolute unlike the lies by PRANAB MUKHERJEE that MMS was silent on.

I hope that senile boor ensures his skeletons (Modi) are in the cupboard and does not carry on as he is now from the ICU so as to win sufficient seats to be in a position to question such in the parliament when it comes up to the US Congress to review the IAEA sanctions.

Why no Yashwant or even thier confused Sangh spokesperson.

BJP could have risen above pettiness should they have opted out like Somnath

BJP should actually thank its MPs who abstained or cross voted...
by Demo-crazy on Jul 23, 2008 03:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

... at least in private!

It is good in a way that MMS can continue for some more months.

If the BJP had fully voted against UPA (resulting in MMS losing it), Mayawati would have hijacked LK Advani's chance in the coming election.

BJP should take pride in the fact that they were the original initiators of this deal and aligning with USA. They can always re-negotiate or scrap if they find USA interfering in the sovereign affairs of India.

Imagine a combination of Mayawati, Ajit Singh, Devegowda, Karat, Bardhan, Naidu, Chandrasekhar rao, ruling us! Thank God it did not happen. Thank those NDA & TDP MPs who voted for UPA for this!

If BJP is sensible in its strategy, it should let these MPs continue with a rebuke. If they expel them, the BJP could lose the support and sympathy of the urban voters who were not against the deal.

if you go by the 123 agreement you will find that india cannot backtrack from the deal but america has the right to inspect nuclear installations under the agreement even if USA forgo the agreement once the deal is done. so these bludy MP's will make india a beggar in the hands of USA once the deal is done and we will have to take clearance from the US even for using indigeneous nuclear resources

by venkat on Jul 23, 2008 03:25 PM  Permalink
You are right. BJP in karnataka started talking other parties people in. Since they are already switching, it is really difficult to believe them.

Sangaliana says he voted according to his conscience. But the thing is he contested elections on a party symbol and must obey the whip of that party. Else he could have resigned if his inner sense prevented him. He misused his position and voted for the Govt.

One BJP senior leader rightly asked this to be a lesson for BJP and not to admit jumping people to the party and those who do not have respect for ideology whatever may be.

BJP should wake up to be a cadre based disciplined party again

Every party has practiced defection and corruption in one form or the other. BJP is no saint.

Congress has a Ph.D. in this field, while BJP is just graduating!

Remember, at times, for the larger good, one needs to accept some little evil, or unjust, or indisciplined acts.

If the war was fair, Karna & Duryodhana would not have died that easily at the hands of Arjuna and Bhima. Because they adopted foul methods to kill Abhimanyu, the Pandavas too had to adopt certain tactics. Lord Krishna himself advised it is OK to adopt such means to get rid of bigger evil.

This act of BJP MPs got rid of communist's back seat driving. Split the UPA, UNPA, and Communists hold. So, be thankful to them.

clean image ?
by Sandipan Gupta on Jul 23, 2008 03:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The clean image of Mr. Manmohan Singh has been totally damaged, that too even before the trust vote was over.

It was proved that he can go down to even the lowest level to make Mr. George Bush happy.

He can free the murder convicts from jail to garner votes for UPA, and all this for a nuclear deal which no one has a clear idea about, except the top brass.

We just hope that they don't sell the country in the name of a deal.

it's unfortunate that for everything that went to congress as a defeat, Sonia was blamed. It was said she is managing the show from behind.
Today MMS has slapped everyone in their cheeks and ba11s. So, this credit is not being given to Sonia. why? Why suddenly people are quite abt Sonia? U know why? Becoz they dont want to admit that they lost to Sonia...They are ashamed. MMS has managed to sail thru the whole episode with flying colors. Even my villager dad knows that BJP is crying foul after thumping defeat at the hand of mayawati and UNPA. BJP saved itself by letting govt survive. So they did not do any favor to MMS. It was their need.

These politicians dont have any respect in the public because they are only power and money hungry and that too to spoil their childrens.I think there is a need for a new political party which must make members who are educated and dedicated to India.

Amar Singh seems to be caught if the CD is out
by venkat on Jul 23, 2008 03:21 PM  Permalink

The money was indeed given by Amar Singh. About a day or two, he was telling that 2 MPs

from Madhya pradesh would abstain confidently. He was tellin this only after he

got 'false' green signal from those MPs

After the vote, when everyone was happy, we could see Amar singh arguing and looking

visibly shaken. I think he must be worried about the contents of the CD.

CD was given to CNN iBN and because of their pro Congress leanings they refused to telecast it and gave it to speaker. If somnath fails to do anything,BJP will surely release copied to other news and press.

Something is seriously there in that tape.
