Nuclear deal is must not optional
by jero on Jul 23, 2008 04:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The same Communist opposed when India opened the Market in 1991 by Manmohan Sing under Narasimha Rao. And communist opposed when computer field came to India and they said computer and the open market will take out the jobs of Indians. But because of Open Market and Computer Indians are shining all over the world, and we are able to achieve 8.5% growth from 4%. And we grabbed crores of computer jobs from many countries. The Communist would oppose everything related to US even if India gets benefit, they will not worry.

4. In our Asia region China is the main thread for us in every field. China did the same Nuclear deal with US even though they are communist and they are smart enough to grab all the opportunities from US. But China is not supporting our Nuclear deal with US. India's so called enemies Pakistan and China are the only the Major countries are not supporting our Nuclear deal with US. Do you think Pakistan and China will support India because we will not get benefit through this Nuclear deal with USA?. China and Pakistan do not want India to get Nuclear technologies from world countries and they are fearing on this, that is why they oppose. Indian communist party will not do anything against China and China uses the Indian Communist party to collapse the deal. Now what is the difference between Indian communist party and China towards India.

Even for local MLA elections, they pay each vote about 1000 rupees, e.g. DMK, AIADMK, etc.

And now, even MPs are given money to cast their vote!

Whats the big deal.
These old BJP gits start making a big fuss about something which they even do, to win elections!

Then they would have ruled india many times, right? But They ( BJP ) did not. They even lost a trust vote by just one vote. Remember?
Also remember this PM had imposed the emergency in Bihar, for the similar charges of horse trading by BJP and JD(U). Which the SC said was unconstitutional. So do you get the point?

If no cross voting by either sides, then UPA would hav lost vote narrowly.....
by mike mike on Jul 23, 2008 03:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If all MPs had kept allegiance to their respective parties through

whom, and on whose symbol they won their seats , ie NO CROSS VOTING, then....

UPA would hav lost by a narrow margin.

Final Tally: 275 -- 256 -- 10 ( absent)

If NDA/UNPA no cross voting (15) or abstentations(3) then

For : 275 - 15 = 260

Against : 256 15 3 (absent) = 274

If UPA/SP no cross voting ( ie 4 SP rebels n 1 Cong rebel)

For : 260 5 = 265

Against : 274 - 5 = 269

Revised Final Tally : 265 (for) -- 269 (against) -- 7 (absent) Total = 541

Congress-UPA is still a minority govt, as they won vote with oppostion MPs. These oppostion MPs will get expelled from their respective parties. Congress can fool themsleves, not the nation that they won. They won only todays motion to stay in power, not absolute majority and people support. People will soon teach these corrupt MM Singh and his Italian Congress a lession.

If someone giving money to prove they will give more money if you will vote a certain way does not mean that he was bribe. He was seeing if a person was willing to give bribe, in fact such testing could be used to catch a scondrol without becomeing one of them.

Shameful
by SKS on Jul 23, 2008 03:35 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

How much power will be generated through nuclear technology? How much will it cost? Who will provide the technology? What about the environmental effect, how the nuclear waste is going to be handled? What if the US decides to stop supplying raw materials and technology? etc. I think Govt. should have taken the scientists opinions on these issues before even thinking about the deal. In stead, the Govt. has used unscrupulous means to stay on the power and push the deal. I can say for sure, it is a black day for democracy.

3.The agreement with US is only a base as the main agreement is with the IAEA wich will allow us to buy from any body who wants to sell(RUSSIA).

This all was planned a weak back, no cross voting .. nothing. Was a ploy by NDA & UPA to block Mayavathi from getting streangthened.
There was a secret meeting between UPA & NPA leaders at Amar Singhs house on 17-th, and a decision was made the definite PM in waiting, Mayavathi to be blocked, who is a common and formidable challenger to both Sonia & Advani.
Her entry into contest for PM is going to complicate matter for both UPA & NDA.

She, the only representative of majority of Indian masses, the dalits ... will change the whole political equations all over India.

Just wait for thr LS elections.

Look at the 'wonderful' performance by the BJP and the LEFT. This trust vote was really meant for the discussion of the most vicious subject THE N-DEAL These parties took it as a chance to make political mileage out of it. How many sentences (rather words) were uttered by these people about the N-deal? Did they mention anything critical about the subject. Could they not read the many debates in several forums? They had several points to state which could 'lock' the congress. They should have narrow down the debate to N-deal. They wanted to prove their political superiority. But the intelligent opponent managed them in the way the congress drew the line!!.
I doubt very much 'they are for the N-deal”. Then what for all these noise? Tell the people.

The West Bengal was well developed state some 30 years back. By the mis-rule the state is brought down to the level which forced them to preach 'capitalism'. Budha is a capitalist wearing a communist gown. People are aware of it. Budha wants to bring the past glory of Bengal by adopting capitalist methods. Then why did they make this state to the present condition? They may not accept this.

Advani's speech was very saddening. He claimed that the deal will be renegotiated. Is it possible? Within the next few months MMS will commit billions of rupees worth of contracts. No government can disown such commitments. Do not fool the people.

I hope Congress knows what it's doing. If this N-deal is going to force us to abondon our N program or stop us from making new N tests then nuclear power which will be 5% of entire power production in India will come at very heavy price.
