why bjp highcommand waiting for drastic action against 'errant mps who cross the party whip? we feel bjp is working in the interest of upa/congress.during election bjp was looking like b team of congress.why bjp kept distance from commonman and avoided attack on congress for many serious national matters and did not highlighted its achievements of NDA GOVT.WE HAVE SEEN ONLY LEG PULLING ,BACK TRACKING AMONG SENIORS FOR NO ISSUE REQUIRES TO RAISE DURING ELECTION CAMPAIGN.BJP LEADERSHIP IS ONLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESS OF PARTY 7 FAITH OF PEOPLE.LIKE CONGRESS BJP HAS ALSO DEVELOPED CULTURE OF 5 STAR.IF ANY COMMONMAN WANTS TO BRING SOME SERIOUS MATTER REGARDING NATIONAL /PARTY;S INTEREST TO WHOM HE SHOULD TALK?
If a Whip is Issued and the Member acts against it, Which if is Proved, The Member will be stripped off his Membership of the House by the Speaker.
But, WHY At all should a Vote be allowed to be Cast by the Member When the WHIP is given So much importance by the Constitution ?
Instead the Constitution should Say that ONLY the Whip has the Right to Vote as per the Decision of his party And His Vote in the House Equals all the Votes of All his Party Members.
The People who elect a Member Vote Seeing the Party manifesto or Listening to the Promises of the Party Leaders. Why Should a Member be allowed to Sell his Membership of the House, In International Markets - including on Issues related to the Sovereignity, Economics and Security of India ???
Any Member Who wants go against the Party Line should be given only one Option of Resigning from his Membership before the Voting Ends.
This Kind of Law/Amendment Will End the GREAT INDIAN BAZAAR of Democracy.
All those who have defied party line should be kicked out irrespective of his ability to win elections. This is a sell out by the individual. The nuclear deal is a strike on our national security and soverignity as a nation. Any compromise on that means all are same as the congress. A person without a soul can only vote this deal in the present context. All we wanted is a debate which the congress did not as they knew the hyde / 123 act were detrimental to te nation and the BJP would never agree to it, and chose to bull doze it. I too believe that we need several nuclear plants but not like this. And I would like the corporate world not to give their stamp of approval to such deals as it maken them look even smaller in the eyes of the nation as nothing more than shylocks. There is more in nation building than just their contrubution of making money.
She has emerged as a speaker and a candidate who will have her way in next election- Write this and save this.... I shudder to think how she will talk to chinese and US dignitories. I also shudder to think what will happen to IT, Power and development etc... But get it in writing- her stature has increased several folds......... hail BMW

good one.. BMW & SCM (Bahan Maya Wati & Satish Chandra Mishra)
Its a win of N.D.A. and Mr. L.K. Advani. Whatever that happened yesterday was already known to N.D.A.
It was madam Mayawati who made Mr. Advani to re-think in the last minute on their stand to defeat the U.P.A. Govt in trust vote.
In the event of U.P.A. Govt falling, all credit would have gone to madam mayavati and the so called third front and that may have benefitted more to Mayavati to capture more seats in U.P. and shattered the Advaniji's dream of becoming P.M.
After nuclear deal, the rising inflation alone will be the biggest enemy of the U.P.A. govt in the coming General elections....
Lets see after surviving the vote of trust in the Parliament how this govt will survive from the rising inflation.

Yeah, you are partly right. Had the government fallen, Mayavati would have emerged, at least in public perception, as the main alternative to the Congress-led coalition. So Mr. Advani should be relieved on that count.
But, now what if the tide begins to turn against the BJP in, even, Karnataka? Inflation is likely to ease, as the lag time for monetary policy is almost over, and in a couple of weeks, the inflation rate should be off the peak. And, even more interestingly, oil prices are now at their six-week lows. If the crude oil slide continues, and the government were to initiate even token reforms, the expectations part will pull out the economy from its current phase. In fact, expectations about this expectation factor is already playing out in the stock market. If the feel good factor returns, and the Congress propagandists succeed in convincing the people that the bad times were because of the Left, you wouldn't know which way the political wind will blow in 2009. Perhaps, who knows, Advani may remain as the PM-in-waiting.
If L.K.Advani could not keep his own BJP members together in Parliament while voting for the Trust vote, how can India believe that he can keep the country together if elected as PM tomorrow ?
