If it were Rahim Bridge or Father Tommy's bridge...the govt would have saved it and nurtured it as a SECULAR SHOWPIECE....but it turns out to be Ram's setu..a hindu sentiment is not worth paying heed...all these congress UPA who say Ram did not exist should remove Hey Ram from Gandhi's tomb..also Lalu, Mulayam, should not be allowed to participate in any Hindu festival......that goggle-guy idiot Karunanidhi should be asked to remove control from all TN temples....he is a supporter of Periyar...who abhors Ram....what a shame ...Shame on all Hindu-Tamils who support these pseudo-Hindu politicians....

if Arun u donot have religious faith , thats ur problem. now i have come to know that why indian were ruled by Mughuls and Britishers because we have people like u Arun(Jaichand).u better keep ur mouth shut. Even our Naval chief told that Ram sethu is required for security purpose. he is much more briny that that of you.

if religious sentiment does not help in anyway why not first start with removing mosques, churches, synagogues, fire temples and other structures?
Anybody can try to start this project, but this poject is going to fail, due to Sriram himself protect the bridge.World hindu will protest against this issue. Karuna will die evry soon & there will be division of his party by his hybrid sons.

I dont know which version of Ramayana the lawyer produced in court. In fact Tamil Nadu, the land of atheist politics is full of temples that are intertwined with the story of Ramayana.
If Mr. Nariman's point of view is correct, then why does the Govt. support the Kailash-Manasarovar yatra? Who can prove that Lord Shiva is indeed present on Mt. Kailash? Also, why the Amarnath yatra? What proof is there to say that the 'ice-cone' that forms every year is representing the Lingam?
These are matters of faith and do not need logic to support them. If the Congress Govt. and its lawyers use the logic defense, the courts are simply going to brush them aside. This is a sacred structure in the MINDS of the Hindus. So any damage to it is tantamount to stamping upon the religious beliefs.
The commercial aspects of this Sethu need a thorough investigation. At the planned depth, almost 80% of the world's shipping cannot use it. Even if it is used, shipping lanes across the world like the Panama, Suez, Bosphorus are proof of the time and money it costs for the piloting charges. These negate the so-called benefits. The only benefit of this Sethu is that the Tamil Nadu politicians, esp. T.R. Balu and Karunanidhi will be earning millions as bribe money in awarding the contracts for the Dredging and upkeep.
In addition to all these, there is the spectre of the Sea Tigers, the naval wing of the LTTE. Some say the whole project was conceived to provide them with supplies from India easily

Its amazing how our democracy has survived for over 60 years with the kind of parliament we all saw. Is it because we are so tolerant or stupid or ignorant or simply do not care?? Are we heading towards a another revolution?? Dont we have a right to exist with self respect, dignity and pride within our own country?? Are we such animals that we will let some handful of idiots herd us in whatever directions they seem fit?? Hindus, muslim, dalits, whoever.... its time to wake up and see whats happening. A temple is not the same as this rama sethu. A mosque or vatican is not the same. They are all places of worship. they should be respected and protected. Nobody worships this sethu and nobody can go there to worship. You are probably never going to see it in your lifetime and probably not 99.999999% of Indians. I would be the first to oppose it if we where demolishing a temple to create a canal. So stop fooling yourself, acting stupid and trying to fool everybody else. In my opinion you are a religious fanatic because you are insecure about your religion. I am hindu and I am secure about my religion. My opionion on religion is not going to change because of this structure existing or not existing.
