left, NDA and BSP should learn to work with each other
by Kris on Jul 23, 2008 11:21 PM  Permalink

Put ban on all media ownership ( even parial ownership) for the sake of the country.

Let CNN be CNN. There is no need to give it a credibility of Indian news channel.

Ditto for NDTV and other channels. They are misleading Indians.

Rajdeep has lost that precious thing.

He has dug his own journalistic grave by not showing the tape.

Let the TRPs decide. Certainly it does not need a certificate from a known knickerwallah.

Knickerwallahs are known for their love of Goebbelian communications techniques. Advani in his speech against the motion accused Nehru wanting to sign the NPT. Pranab Murkherjee literally caught him with his pants down. He retorted that how Nehru who died in 1962 could sign a NPT which came into force only in the 70s?

Apart from this, Advani's speech was a damn squib.

UNPA and NDA Beaten in their own game
by All Right on Jul 23, 2008 11:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The analysis of cross-voting indicated that 6 SP MPs switched to BSP and 1 Congress MPs switched over to the BJP.

These cross-voting started 10 days ago with Mayawati and BJP parading their defectors. BJP tried poaching more Congress MPs like Jalappa, whose son is already a BJP MLA in Karnataka. Congress was supposed to lose as many as 4 MPs to the BJP and the SP was being targeted by UNPA for a vertical split. Meanwhile Mayawati-Karat poached JDS and RLD who together had another 6 MPS from the UPA. These defectors were also paraded in news channels.

The best form of defense was offense and the UPA-SP retaliated in kind to not only stem the tide but to put both the UNPA and NDA on the defensive.

So Mayawati, Karat and Advani maybe crying crocidile tears now. They have been beaten in their own game. Losers

Yes everyone should be upset of corruption. So why not ask BJP's CM in Karnataka to quit too. He bought 12 MLAs (Independents & Opposition parties) made 9 of them Ministers in addition to giving them crores of rupees financed by the Bellary mining mafia who has another 4 cabinet berths

Every Indian is not corrupt. Neither they like their govt clinging onto power thro' orrupt means.

corrupt rajdeep's corrupt channel
by George on Jul 23, 2008 11:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

You guys should have watched the live coverage by Rajdeep Sardesai's marathi channel IBN-Lokmat. The editor Nikhil Wagle a total clown was giving running commentry and was speaking so much pro UPA and hitting BJP as if he was an pi*mp like Amar Singh. This clearly tells what is the source of funding for this channel. Once new Govt comes in power in Center they should make a thorough enquiry into the functioning of this corrupt channel.

Rajdeep has put entire CNN-IBN in stake...........
by Mohamed Hussain on Jul 23, 2008 11:19 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If due some or the other reason, lets assume if BJP doesn't want that CD to be aired or for that matter congress being the ruling party suppresses the case altogether, then who is at loss, it is the CNN brand, the news channel. Reading the above interview, one can clearly say Rajdeep does not have enough guts to air the CD. One can read between lines "My two reporters did the job. I may have had a look.", especially "I may have had a look", so that he can later on blame his reporters. If he had been a true reporter, he should have broadcasted that CD on his news channel.

BJP cannot be stopped by partisan media
by Tathagata Mukherjee on Jul 23, 2008 11:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Media, particularly Indian English media, is filled with psuedos, commies, converts.

They think, by manipulating media, they can stop BJP, or help Congress.

fact of the matter is, IT HAS ALREADY FAILED MISERABLY.

Middle class, the primary viewer of Eng media, is decidedly pro BJP.

OTHER THAN NUISENCE VALUE, INDIAN ENGLISH MEDIA BY AND LARGE HAS NO UTILITY. There are few exception, but by and large that's the case.

all the channels today are headed and financed
by politicians and particularly congress. He is die hard congressman and they always try to malign bjp. They tried every means by pollute indian voters by having a viscious campaign in gujarat and karnataka. What happened ? the shit that they threw on bjp was thrown back at their face by the voters of these states. He was in ndtv previously and now in cnn-ibn but the character of his hasn't changed and it will never change. The biggest communal forces in our country are the tv channels and the congress party. These guys have too much of freedom and it has to be crushed immediately.

I doubt Rajdeep's Intentions
by Ganesh Saraswat on Jul 23, 2008 11:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Ever since his NDTV days, Rajdeep has been blatant Congress supporter. If you watch his Big Fights again, you will realize how he used to pit Congress heavy weights against light weights of other parties.
After starting his own channel, recall how he spoke against Modi and how he tried to help Congress's elections campaigns through his channel.
Now, that he is exposing Congress and its allies there could be only two reasons -
(1) NDS is gaining ground and may return to power (2) There is some hidden facts we cannot see and this is ploy to help Congress in some way.
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE RAJDEEP.
