Nuclear Deal Crisis
by guru jayaraaman on Jul 22, 2008 01:43 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The question from the people of india is very very simple, what is the advantage and disadvantage of making this Nuclear deal? Please list it.The people doubt becoz america will not do any friendship without benefit. If this is kept open clearly, then no crisis at all.I am watching all the news media and web as well as televison live relay from parliament...i wonder not even one Member is talking about this.

A valid point indeed. The only reason why the commies are against the deal is because it will give US some hold over our nation. But then no deal comes without any catch. We need the deal more than the US. If we don't sign it, the future is bleak for us. We may even have to import coal at exhorbitant price.

Yeah... I thought so.... AFTER enduring 60 years of Congressis, you still genuinely believe that the future can be any bleaker?... :-)

Maybe yes you do... coz Congress can always come back in power, innit?.... ;-)

So the future can indeed be bleaker... :-)

:)

I was a blind supporter of Congress, ... but despite Manmohan's promise to make Mumbai into Shanghai (4 years back), and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING being done about it, except for finger pointing at a "few people" -- I proudly announce that heretofore I will ONLY VOTE FOR BJP...

:-)
:-)

See -- it is very very easy to make any stupid declaration on this forum.... all you need is a computer, an internet connection and some basic typing skills...

:-)

If i use brain then also it will take me away from congress which is one family party and has done no good to india in 60yrs of rule!
BJP in its short rule exploded Atom bomb also and then went to the negotiating table with US on Nuclear deal!
Our meek and humble PM negotiated nothing on this front and all benefits on long run were given to USA in the deal!
BJP is not against nuclear deal as thought and spread by most of the congress slaves!Let is come to power in next elections and deal will get through with advantage india!

Chidambaram's speech
by rajagopalan ss on Jul 22, 2008 01:27 PM  Permalink

It is for US, the enactor of HYDE Act to say it is not applicable to India? One doesn't have to study in Harvard to know this. America has always safeguarded its interest and it has never cared for others. If US applies HYDE Act to deny fuel on grounds that we have entered into a deal with Iran for oil, what will you do, Mr Chidambaram? Don your lawyer's robes and argue? The clarifications on the provisions should be got from at least half a dozen luminaries in International Law.
