Time to make moeny off the Indians...
by XianYe on Jul 23, 2008 07:42 AM  Permalink

no wonder the business community of the US is elated.

I bet certain sectors of the Russian and French business community shall be elated too.

The Indians are born to be milked by foreign powers. Witness all the arms deals done between India and Russia.

China should support this deal without any reservation. It is in the best interests of China, and Pakistan I might add. India is chained to the ground in so far as the future development of its nuclear weapon is concerned.

Actually everyone is happy

Its not just just US Lobby but everyone including "Aam Adami" is very happy. As we all know almost all states in India are facing power crunch and the nuclear deal will bring much needed respite to India's power problems. I don't understand the logic that the deal is Anti-Muslim. Do muslims live without power generated from nuclear power plant? Now its upto to leaders to explain how nuclear enegry is against muslims.

Don't think that this deal solves our ubiquitous power problems. This will help only 7 to 10% for power need and I am sure it will not reach the last person of this great country. One should go through the content of the draft cautiously and then only one can appreciate why some are against. Adding to this, our military programme will suffer indirectly a lot. Do you think, US is so determined to help our nation? Anyone who goes through the history can understand how US constantly tried to curb India becoming a strong country or more independent economic power. One should keep in mind that US is just planning to stalemate the India's Nuclear programme which is indigenously built to this level of repute. One should not forget that many bodies like NSG are formed just to control the India's nuclear activities. I ask one simple question, if they are really worried about the global warming, why can't they cut down their petrol consumption? Why can't they help countries like India (in this nuclear deal) without actually keeping any hidden agenda? One should seriously doubt the integrity of US

Crisp and Clear

If you think like a head of an International business who wants the deal to be done, you will understand.

Here is the take:
First lure BJP into the game and have them initiate the deal since majority of the local Nuclear clout is with them and you can't even get the Government officials the think about this deal without BJP's blessing.

Then, make sure they are out of power because they will have a upper hand in the deal making process.

Get some other government that is vulnerable and has the mind set of rich and hipocratic views so that very few (cabinet) can be convinced that they are getting everything for a basket of Mangoes.

Then spank them with no trust vote if they ask for more.

Finally, get all these guys out and place a completely new bunch of parties with regional priorities and get the contract for cheap because most of them don't even ask for a kick-back and all they want is a temple here and a Mosque there or let them out of some curruption charges that they were not part of.

And all this can be done when you have a beverage distribution center in every village in India.

When the Government is controllable, all the Indian companies will automatically dance to USIBC's or any Europian MNC's tunes.

The government will be busy signing the many contracts for the projects.
It is time for the NGOs and non political organizations to find ways to work for making transparency in the various agencies engaged in the signing of contracts and other formalities.
Let there be a detailed study regarding the pros and cons of the projects. I mean public debate.
Let the present government or the coming government pass an act empowering some 'body' to evaluate the project from evaluation, construction to commissioning and running.
It can be termed as 'SOCIAL AUDIT'.
Let all the papers connected with the projects be within the ambit of Right to Information Act 2005
including the project study, award of contracts, construction and running.

All the countries got what they wanted:

USA - Complete access to the fast breeder
research developments so that they can
polish and repackage the findings and
keep all the money from patents.
Any non-cooperation will terminate the
deal and IAEA keeps visiting the reactors
just to irritate the governments.

Russia - No questions on their existing
contracts and some more defence
contracts for reactors.
France - Technology and reactors.

Israel - Air Force with all the disposable
Fighter Jets from USA.

Autralia - N-Fuel.

UK - Returns on all the money they invested in
these countries.

India - Un-interrupted power supply and
advantage over china.

China - When we spend all
this money and secure our Defence we
will have no money to invest in our
industries and let the Indians work for
Chinese companies for piece meal.

Yes the USA want to know how the Fast Breeder Reactor works. It uses thorium instead of uranium and we are the only country working on it. We have 25% of the world's reserve of thorium.

MMS will be having a good sleep 2day after many sleepless nights over the passage of the confidence motion. With crooks like Amar Singh & Sibhu Soren besides him his days of agony are ahead, these notorious goons are even worse than the communists, who had false egos & backdated idealogy not compatible to the present day world. These two Singh & Soren are corrupt & criminals who will not deter to bring MMS into bad reputation so long as they get their cuts. The Coal Ministry is going to be a mess in the coming months.Rightly the USIBC is elated over the govt's winning the confidence motion, as US business houses will now set up their houses in India as the slump in USA & Europe has to be compenstated by a big market like India who would not mind to purchase medium standard goods at exorbitant rates examples of which exists such as the Union Carbide,Enron & the purchase of coffins for soldiers who died in Siachen glacier.MMS has lived upto his epithet of being an American stooge.
