MPs resale.
by ananth K on Jul 23, 2008 08:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Condition: Used
Qualification: Knows to press different kinds of buttons.

We bought few Flesh bags(Indian MPs) for pressing a green button. As we do not require them now, we would like to resell them.

These flesh bags are of no use to us. So it will even cost us to dispose them. Ready to sell at any rate.

Congress(I).

Ananth K:

Every immoral traffic trader adheres to the principles you outlined.... :-)

Murderers will claim -- if you can't defend yourself, I'm right in killing you... :-)

Congressis will say -- if you didn't have the wits to throw us out in 60 years, we will loot you some more..

Advani will say -- if you couldn't defend Babri, that's your effing problem.... ;-)

So I can't really understand what on earth would you THEN have against BJP?.... :-)

It cannot be communal, it hasn't done anything that cannot be defended by your fantastic logic, and so they are spotlessly clean... :-)

So BJP's the greatest party on the planet, innit?... :-)

Nuclear Deal & Indian Democracy
by vivek shah on Jul 23, 2008 07:45 AM  Permalink

Yesterday was absolutely a sad day for indian democracy and for the Indian politics. The way our so called MP'S conduct them selves over issues concerning to INDIA was shamefull.
This deal is for entire nation and not for any particular government or party. No government or party can take credit if we go ahead and sign any deal which surely is going to benefit our country and would be in the interest of nation with out sacrifising its security and development programme.
Why the debate wasn't conducted between top nuclear scientists?
Need was to setup Technical commission which could analyze and prepare report over the merits & demertits and after that PM should have addressed entire nation.
These MP'S just don't value time and keep on blaming eachother over the issues which we all know.
Yesterdays discussion was over Nuclear Deal and some MP'S were putting forth some non sense issues which only create communal differences and no way help our contry to progress.
Time has come when we need youth to participate and make decisions and as far as Indian politics is concerned then there should be only 5 major parties.
Our MP'S don't understand the respect which they should show in parliament and in turn are displaying ugly part to entire country and the world.

Congratulations to the person who said "Minorities, particularly the Muslims, have first right over the national resources" ... this, along with Amarnath, is a great win for minorities in 'secular' India!

dear friend i am not a great fan of Advani ... nor karat ... this is confidance motion not no confidance motion ... so Opposition leader has no role, more over this situation was due to EGO of MMS and Karat so no problem ....
I wonder why for this gujrat issues is taken ... werent there any Roits earleier ... for your information Gujrat victims were 1000 to 1500 in whole of Gujrat this include both Hindus and Muslims ..... Sikh roits vitims were 2500 in delhi only .....
My only question is why this poison is still spilled , you know this is still leading to seggrigation of hindu muslim ...

All are culprits , did nt people in nadi gram were not killed, if some gundas did not allow tv crew to that place ,,, and govt covered it up .. is it not killing people and roiting ..

My Intention is to not support Advani, or Karat or any of therse people ,,,, only to say that Gujrat is not a seperate or isoloted inceden ,,, it was happening and it will happen because of these congress, bjp, SP,BSP.COMMunists ...
Rajiv was euqally culprit for SIKH massacares and is Narendra modi ,,,,
Congress is equally guilt and escaped punishements as is Bjp for gujat ... the only difference was the roits tool place in no congress or its allies ruled state ...

Sikh riots were spur of the moment reaction of people against the sikhs, bcos of assasination of a great national leader by her sikh bodyguards, it was no doubt an most inhuman act of killing innocent (sikhs) people and one has to condemn it with all his might.
But, Gujrat riots was a manufactured riot it was carefully planned & executed by political parties like BJP, VHP & Bajrang Dal against the muslims.
Such riots should never occur again.

One cannot compare both riots, whereas one was spur of the moment reaction by people cutting across party lines (may be mostly congress party workers)...the other was cold blooded murder of innocents by BJP, VHP & Bajrang Dal, planned years in advance and executed in a ruthless manner.

Kalam (our hero) said something good ... doesn't make the deal great
by SKS on Jul 23, 2008 06:05 AM  Permalink

There lies the problem. if someone people think a hero (even Shahrukh Khan) says something, everyone starts believing him without even thinking anything about it. I agree Kalam has good knowledge on some of the things, but he's not a nuclear scientist. Most of the indian scientist (they of course know much more about nuclear technology than Kalam) world over have serious doubts about the viability of this deal. Until unless those concerns are addressed, the deal will create more problems than it will solve.

How much power will be generated through nuclear technology?
How much will it cost?
Who will provide the technology?
What about the environmental effect, how the nuclear waste is going to be handled?
What if the US decides to stop supplying raw materials and technology? etc.
I think Govt. should have taken the scientists opinions on these issues before even thinking about the deal. There is no point in getting some unsubstantiated data from unknown source to answer these questions. We just need scientists to debate extensively on this. In stead, the Govt. has used unscrupulous means to stay on the power and push the deal. I can say for sure, it is a black day for democracy.

Good for US and Australia
by Vivek Sharma on Jul 23, 2008 06:04 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Now that Nuclear Deal will go ahead. Slowly will be disclosed the traps in the deal. The sanctions India will be facing. US beginning to get a good hold in Asia by setting a base in India.

Australia will be benefited to a great extent since they will be the main exporters to India of Nuclear raw material.

Since I live in NZ we always heard Australia wanting to India to go ahead with the Nuclear deal.

I hope Nuclear deal is for the good. My only concern is US MNCs killing Indian culture and consistently introducing Western influence. God help us all.

Cheers

Your analysis simply sets up a precedent of ends justifying the means....

In future there will be "no holds barred" horse trading... never mind if it's captured on camera....

We can always come back and prove that it was all done for some good.... :)

As if anybody's going to admit that what they were attempting to do was NOT GOOD in the first place... ;-)
