Do you really think Congress will go to such lengths, pay so much money to to win votes, just so that they can show to people of country that they are doing a good thing.
The deals involves Billions of dollars (of taxpayer money) and where do you think the kickbacks will be going? Its pure business, you invest a few hundred corores, you earn many many hundreds of coroes.

It is a good result. People who voted for congress should go through the full term of their elected, Outdated, inefficient and manipulative government which has failed to address the major issues like speculation, inflation and unaffordable housing. They have rather made an issue about this N-deal which is hardly going to contribute 3% of total energy of the nation anf was not even considered by any energy planning commission till recently. Neither have they succeeded in improving relations with the neighbour countries like pakistan and china which is major factor for indias growth.

the major quality of Policitics is crookedness. It is essential to become a politician and be a successful politician, if PV Narasimha Rao would have lost the confidence motion in 1993, India would have to face so many general elections.. politicians are not worried about our money.. they are worried about their victory.. so, the lesser the elections, the more beneficiaries are citizens.. no party.. no person is important here..
