Kudos to MMS!

Manmohan singh have proved that he is not a weak primeminister!

He have single handedly engineered this coup when everybody thought the nuke deal is dead.Everyone knows this deal is essential for India becoz as a nation we cannot rely anymore on Hydro electrical projects and other conventional sources for our country's power requirement.

Now left politicians will no more have any say in mainstream politics and they will now get reduced to a regional party operating in 2 states!

Once again kudos to Shri Manmohan singh!Yout did it!
Jai Hind!

Yes and never ever the Lefties should be allowed to have any say in the policy matters of the nation.Parties should prefer sitting in opposition to even a minority governement than allowing the commies to come anywhere near power.

RE:Bad News for BJP, NDA is disintegrating
by MGR Fan on Jul 22, 2008 11:18 PM  Permalink
It is too early to conclude that UPA will be winning next elections.

The massive price rise of basic needs is disturbing and if Manmohan does not control it, UPA will be defeated for sure.

Nuclear deal is good, but please dont tell that people vote elections based on power projects. Elections are voted based on day to day needs.

all drama
by pp R on Jul 22, 2008 11:16 PM  Permalink

The Congress and BJP were hand in hand and hence the UPA won the confidence vote .. BJP wanted to oppose on the face of it but internally supported the govt (their 9-10 MP's voted for the govt and BJP had not issed a whip implies that BJP had planned to let the govt win the vote and go ahead with the deal) ... This is all politics .. in the Narsinha Rao rule, when BJP wnet to ask him permission for kar seva at ayodhya, Rao govt had clearly told BJP (yeh andaar ki baat hai) faltu mein time pass karke kar seva nahi karne duunga .. dhache ko gira ke khatam karoge tohi kar seva allow karunga) and the rest is history .. So my friends, don't get too much sentimental and carried away .. 99.99% of us do not know the actual truth .. and yes .. as I understand the CIA played a very crucial role in this whole confidence vote ... coz they wanted the deal to go through ...

SHAMEFUL ATTITUDE OF MPs
by hanif mohammed on Jul 22, 2008 11:15 PM  Permalink

The opposition and left acted like rowdys today in parlaiament. The calibre of these MPs are so despicable, it was a shameful sitaution to watch on live TV. The word Honourable should be removed when addresing these MPs, which is a disgrace. They have gone to the full extent in showing the real colours of their true characters, and the people who have elected them should bow their heads down in shame !! In may ways the UPA were dignified in their manners inside the house, and did allow the opposition to speak without any interuption. The best speach was delivered by young Omar Abdulla, who let his heart speak out !! Bravo to him.

Nuclear Agreement between India - USA :MUST READ BY EVERY INDIAN- We are becoming slaves

Nuclear Agreement between India - USA :MUST READ BY EVERY INDIAN

There are lot of talks about 1 2 3 Agreement between India & USA and it
almost led to the topple of Central Government. In this mail I am trying
to explain the commercial & technical aspects relating to this Agreement
which I have read and sharing with you.

What is 123 Agreement?

This is called 123 Agreement because this comes under USA's Atomic Power
Act Section 123.
Let's see how India's (Indians?) Sovereinty & Independence are
pledged...

(1) After this Agreement USA will supply all fuel, machinery / equipment
& technology to India for producing Nuclear Power.

(2) All these days from about 22 Nuclear Power Plants, India is
producing power as well as Atom. It's a high security / secret that
from where which is produced, how much is produced, where it is
supplied, what research is being done with that, etc. to anybody. But
if we sign this Agreement, we have to disclose these secrets and also
agree to 14 of our Nuclear Power Plants to be under the scanner of
International Atomic Power Organisation.

(3) The fuel utilised to produce Atomic Power can be recycled for reuse
and this plant will be under direct supervision of IAPO.

If India does nuclear test, this agreement gets cancelled. But

(1) USA will take back all the machinery / equipments / technology
supplied to India thus far.

(2) Those 14 plants will continue to be under scanner irrespective of
the statu

well said Ratheesh. keeping the facts in mind (which i am sure majority of our politicians are not aware of) the trust vote in Parliament was expected to have taken place with utmost prudence and with national interest in mind, but our politicians have made it an obnoxious money game. something that would remain as a black mark in the Indian democracy. none of the parties had an idealogy to stick on to except the left. the congress has all the way been telling that the nuke deal is in the national interest, so assuming it to be so for a while, wat national interest is it when one goes to the extent of bribing with crores of money, which in turn cud have served many poor, starving, Indians. wat kind of a PM is he? whose interests is he serving?

Correction : If the deal is off, india is not obliged to offer any safeguards.

Also the US President can waive this condition to get back the tech and fuel even if we conduct nuke test.

By then we should have enough fuel plus thorium reactors to be fairly independent !

But the one issue most people overlook is the cost of nuke power is presently estimated at
Rs 8 - 10/unit instead of Rs 3.20 most people pay.
