Whenever any politician talks of joining secular forces, what he/she means is corruption is Alright OK.Congress has a track record of bribing and winning the vote. They are very dexterous in the game, From municipal election, state Assembly to national parliament. That's really shameful. Rajiv Gandhi, Narsimha Rao to Sukhram, Pawar, Laloo. They are the reasons for corruption to flourish. Mayawati will do the same. She doesn't have ethics either was supporting Congress till few months back. ttok support from BJP and now commies. For SP it can act as a good counter force but country will get screwed if underserving people with rag-tag 3rd front comes to power with the support of commies. It should be BJP the only nationalists party which can do something for country against evil design of missionaries & neighbours. All pakistanis on the forum are worried about BJP because only BJP will serve for country's interest. LK Advani said very categorically they are not against nuclear energy but will re-negotiate the deal on equal terms with USA. Anyway only they have guts to detonate and without the blast, Manmohan doesn't have balls to stand in front of US. This bribing is dispicable and shameful. emboldened by a wrong decision by Supreme court. When Narsimha Rao bribed MPs, it's proven in the court that money was exchanged and deposited in the account but Supreme court took a wrong decision that it's OK and nothing can be done legally even if it's being bribed.

we are talking about something thats spread all over - all walks of life in india.
can yu get a passport without bribing ? can you get a ration card, a gas connection or land deals in municipality without greasing palms ? can you get the cops moving in any case even if you in the right side ?
how many of us have not paid a bribe ?
damn shame that everyone knows about it, and nothing's done about it. even this is just a show. everyone knows congress would have dipped into their 50 years of earning being the rulers to sail through. shibu soren was offered a post - a bribe in another form. a plum ministry to make some spare cash. we never talk about it. no one will ever nail it.
just a big fuss we will forget by the end of next or whenever the tv channels media decide.

We bloody as hell have no right to whine and complain. If we can't choose the right guys for governing our nation, then trust me...WE ARE GETTING WHAT WE THOROUGHLY DESERVE!!! We bribe, lie, cheat, steal n whatever. what right do we have to cringe over others doing the same? Go on Babus! Three cheers to you. You all are models to the world, teaching how not to run a nation. Since we can't learn anything in spite of seeing the extensive mis-governance by you, we shall hope that maybe the future generations will do better. What are getting what we deserve. We shall pray that you too get what you deserve!

Well said.... We indians r so divided by caste and religion. no matter wether the candidate is good or bad. we Vote for him, just cause he is from ur same caste or religion. Thats the reason the country is in this stage... BJP ( i am independent) is no different from congress. they say N-deal is anti muslim. Tell me what did they do for hindus when they were in power. thats all bullshit talk.... No politicians neither BJP, congress care about country... all they care about is themselves...
The culprint for the entire confidence vote drama is created by PM, SP(Mulayam) & Somanath. Their lust to power for next 6 months created all these things. People can go down to any level for power & position and it is the classic example for that. They may win the vote & rule india for another years, but I lost all confidence & respect in them.

honest politician does not mean one who starves or poor.
also, my point here is that advani's memory is short - he has forgotten the PVN's JMM bribery scandal. he has forgotten what his own party president Bangaru Laxman did in some other context (but that was also bribe!).
I had very high hopes of BJP then. Now, even if I support BJP, I believe they are a little bit better than others.
BJP should abstain from voting, and prove their allegation. Let the UPA sign up the deal, BJP can renegotiate if it comes to power or scrap it if it finds the unacceptable parts not being changed.
