A fundamental question arises in every mind, our representative -MP- fellows after election, taking OATH to sit in the highest seats of National identity if offers or accepts cash or kind and shamelessly pretend masihas for the poorest of poor, and represents hundreds of thousands of citizens then must be regarded as the criminals of the highest order as Conspirators of India and its enacted Constitution apart from their loyalty with party etc. and hence need to be punished publicly alongwith their all supporters.
If this be not done I am sure we shall soon loose our India as visualized by our National Leaders behind the independence like Mahatmaji.
Every one pays bribe to get his work done. why therefore so much hoopala. these people are one amongst us. this is our present culture. we should accept this fact.
Income tax says any payment more than Rs. 20000 they should pay be cheque.
WHY MPs not accepting cheque?
OK , If not cheque at least pay by DD or pay order.
If that is also difficult I request Member of Parliament to please accept payments by account transfer. Nowadays all banks have core banking and also we have RTGS ( Real TIme Gross Settlement ).
All this cash business is bad - very bad. Many many notes to count. Some may be fake ( like the MPs themselves ). Some may be dirty ( like the MPs themselves ). Sometimes to count one has to lick the notes like the politicians have to lick each other's boots/chappals, etc. Licking very bad for health.
Currency notes also increase risk. On the way to house, or bank, or brothel ( to spend the money ) , the MP will get robbed. This means the money is only going from ONE CHOR TO ANOTHER. No revenue for income tax department. Chidumbrum will be very unhappy.
Also some robbers may loot as well as kill the MP and so there is danger to life. This will lead to reduction of population especially MP population.
Nevertheless Politicians dont have any credibility nor shame. However this incident has only shown that BJP, BSP, CPI, and all their allies will not be able to fight an election based on REAl TIME human issues & will be limited to small small regions forever times to come. As humans they cannot win any platform nor fame. For BJP the glory has ended with Vajpayee and for the future I would suggest they again change the name, brand to some other party to revamp, as they have done so many times in the past. To RULE india, you need a diverse nationwide appeal, you need to look professional (you may /may not be so in real life. And no amount of terror/games can bring anyone to power in india albeit for a short time. CPI will remain a party limited to bongs & mallus. DMK to Tamilnadu, shivsena to Maharashtra. None of these polticians can even stand on national stage. Somewhere the basic training of politics seems missing. At the moment only the congress and allies seem to have leaders with nationwide appeal. Frankly I dont know who is yechury, bardhan en such new names which rop up now & then. And Gowda, who remembers him as PM ever! he does look like a beggar though. Such people just disappear into history. And time alone tells about few people who changed the life en direction of a country.

y only inflation.. even d corruption has also came down
When you are a member of parliament and the entire world is watching you one should behave with some basic moralities. Yesterday when the 3 MP's have shown the bundles and bundles of money our pride is hugely damaged.
Is it a country to live with? Is that the way that a democracy should be dealt? Who will care these kind of people in a foreign land.
It is a breach of candidature and a misdead towards a mother. All Indians are ashamed of this!!!
No true Indian will tolerate this nonsense. Suitcase culture is widespread among all the politicians!!! They started dealing with money publically. What a shame on GREAT INDIA!!!!!
BJP should be ashamed of itself for throwing so much money at the floor of the Parliament. Advani has completely lost his common-sense and respect. if the UPA had paid the BJP MP's the money they should have taken it and gone to the Speakers office & told the speaker that its time to take a decision. but all this has resulted in humiliation of India in front of the world. its the blackest day of our country and i'm ashamed of myself that i voted for BJP all these years !!

Chirlie, you are sadly wrong. The Speaker now on the side of the Congress would have suppressed it and would not have allowed it to be raised on the floor of thwe House. The blackest day was when Rajiv Gandhi denied on the floor of the House that he nor his family had taken money from Bofors. The rest is history. Bofors could not be proved, but does it mean there was no Bofors scandal? The money laundering perception and the allegation doing the rounds ought to have been exposed. and the BJp did the right thing.

leo john only way to expose the bribe givers was to accept it and expose them...and BJP did the same thing. it also got one TV channel to record it but the rajdeep sardesai didnt air it immediately as he is sonia stooge, hence BJP had to bring it in LS

How much power will be generated through nuclear technology? How much will it cost? Who will provide the technology? What about the environmental effect, how the nuclear waste is going to be handled? What if the US decides to stop supplying raw materials and technology? etc. I think Govt. should have taken the scientists opinions on these issues before even thinking about the deal. In stead, the Govt. has used unscrupulous means to stay on the power and push the deal. I can say for sure, it is a black day for democracy.

I think Pranab Mukherjee made it clear in his speech on 21st July what will be implications of staying isolated from nuclear fuel suppliers group. He also explained what will be advantages of nuclear energy. This may not become apparent now but this is for our children who will reap the benefits of it thirty to forty years from now. It is just as you sow the seed of a mango tree now and it will bear fruits twenty years later. We have to think of power requirements decades from now. The nuclear reactors will have to be imported so what even many power generation units have imported technology. We use TVs, mobile phones, aircrafts and cars that are not indeginously produced. We may not have to import every brick from other countries to build our nuclear reactors but most of the essential parts including fuel has to be imported to sustain our power requirements.
