and the next election cud hv neen straight contest netween BJP & congress in which they cud hv taken up inflation as a issue.

Mandy K:

In order to discuss the deal with UPA, they should have been able to discuss the deal with UPA.... ;-)

If UPA didn't even discuss it with their own allies the Left, citing "secrecy" reasons, how do you think BJP could have discussed it with UPA?

Obviously Congress needs to learn the tact of "taking along everyone" on issues requiring broad consensus...... having ruled the country with brute majority for most part of the last 60 years, it obviously doesn't know how to do that.... :-)

It demands support, and does not know how to command it... that's the real problem...

TRUE
Moreover we are the biggest fools on earth who do not support own brothers.Everyone has their own groups. But we always vote as per brain not as per heart.Everyone wants reservation but do not want to contribute to Tax.Then one should start collecting tax on the basis of religion and so should be the allocation. This pest of reservation is the biggest enemy of growth.
Even CPM is becoming communal .Hindus themselves are enemy to their community leave others left .
The whole nation is seeing the drama unfolding and shameless MPs are selling themselves.
What a shame
for first time I felt insulted to be an Indian

Indian Politics at its nadir.
by pankaj singh on Jul 21, 2008 12:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

By aligning with the SP the Pm had alraedy done considerable damage to his image as an honest n upright person.Fruther by begging for support from highly corrupt people like Pappu Yadav and Shibu Soren he has proved that he is no way different from the other corrupt politicians.
And what is the urgency of signing the deal in the name of power which will be available only after 8-10 years.
Dr. Singh should have gone for elections with the nuclear deal as the agenda and sought the vote of confidence from the Indian public instead of from the idiotic politicians.
Instead the PM has only helped Indian politics reach its nadir.

political affiliations-changing as and when money matters

any party who talks louder about their opponents in the elections, create a negative feeling about their opponents, talk about their negative points, their scams, their mismanagement etc etc,,, tie up with the same parties at a later stage to form a government or bail out the governments on no confidence motions. Is it not a cheating? Supppose, I as a salesman promise moon about my product and gives a product which is totally contradictory to my sales talk, does it not comes under cheating? Do I not fall under the category of Section 420? If it is true, then why the same kind of initiative not taken against the political parties? For example, in UP Samajwadi Party came to power by criticising/scolding/abusing the congress (I) party, to which people have agreed and given their mandate to run the state government. Now the same SP goes into a political marrige with congress(I) ditching the hopes of 8 croes UP voters. Does it not falls under (political) cheating? A nation wide dialogue should be initiated on this issue and an ordinance should be made to control the political marriages of their convenience. If at all a situation derives them to act in contrary to their poll promises, the said government should submit their resignations at once and go for a nationwide debate/political mandate, to which they should strictly adhere to. Otherwise, voters like us get betrayed at the behest of any small groups. Because, everybody knows that the days of thumping majorities have gone, no

Dr. Manmohan Singh
by ramakrishnan kesavaprakash on Jul 21, 2008 12:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dr.MMS is not a politician, he is purely a corpoare person. He has been a scapegoat of power hungry politicians of UPA and others. Iam not against or Pro to his views, but personally I feel. Even if he wins the trust vote, better for him resign and say goodbye to the politics and can become an advisor.
