by TEJI VARGHESE on Jul 21, 2008 08:50 PM  Permalink

power is really lustful, maddening. if the NDA/ BJP go ahead supporting UPA then they feel the people will always go with the UPA/Congress led. On watching the parliament discussions today, losers like LK advani are stooping to any level against leaders like Pranab Mukherjee etc who are explaining still the facets of the nuclear energy with facts, figures. goons like shibu soren snoring away to glory and attention seekers like TDP leader....arrrgh....its no more for PEOPLE OF INDIA, its more now WHICH PARTY OF INDIA and WHICH leader!!! bringing downt he government is of higher interest...who bothers about cost to country..huh...then we ask about subsidies for petrol after all this...

Trust Vote Debate in Lok Sabha - An analysis.
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Jul 21, 2008 08:49 PM  Permalink

The debate in the Lok Sabha was started today with the PM moving the motion seeking confidence of the House on the Ministry. PM very briefly narrated the sequences leading to the withdrawal of support by the Left that forced to seek the vote of confidence. LK Advani replying to the debate, was sarcastic in his tirade against the PM.He chided the PM for his inability to vote for the motion as he was the member of Rajya Sabha. Speaking onthe Nuke deal, he alleged there was a complete sell out of India's interest. It was an agreement not between two nations but between two individuals. What he has forgotton is the fact, nation is always represented by its PM and when any deal is discussed or signed, it would between the two individuals on behalf of respective nations. Such a simple equation was not understood by Advani, was unfortunate. On energy security, he failed to suggest ways but was quick to criticise the hype about the nuke energy which would not be sufficient to meet all the needs of the country. Who said it was totally taking over from the conventional and non-conventional sources.PM said that this energy being clean would be a supplemental to the conventional energy and non-conoventional energy source till they are depleted or completely exhausted.Coal may be cheaper, but our mines are not totally ready to supply the required quality and or quantity in future. Therefore India has to import coal in large quantity. So is case of hydro, wind and solar energy limited source.

We must get used to discussion
by VB on Jul 21, 2008 08:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Democracy is for discussions and when a discussion takes place every one has his/her views depending on various capabilities or incapabilities. Let us take all of them with a spirit but decorum is to be maintained. Finally democracy wins or losses. So far it has won in all situations and we are sure this time too. PM has brough a proud moment to be remembered in the days to come.

It is better if UPA government and others remember that with barrowed / horse traded / marriage of convenience /making cabinet ministers and getting support, which will not last long.
For a government claiming too many achievements this total support of 276 MPs is utter nonsense and not so convincing.

But the BJP must do its home work well before the elections, instead of playing second fiddle to the UNPA or the UPA!! All said and done it is unfortunate that issue of inflation has been kept in cold storage by the main opposition party and allowed itself to be swept aside by the UPAs’ N-deal tornado.

If UPA government had worked hard to keep the inflation low and concentrate on domestic issues rather than shy away from it with the help of Nuclear agreement, BJP or any other opposition parties would not have had any reason to work hard Mr Jituji.

Poor Advani... poorer BJP
by ravi kumar on Jul 21, 2008 08:31 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Advani huufed and puufed to become the PM at the ripe old age of *80 , battling senility and irrelevance along the way. suddenly Mayawati seems to have stolen the thunder from Advani and now the PM Gaddi seems as far away as it was 4 years ago , when the last elections took place.

All the bright boys of BJP like Jaitly, Naidu , Rajnath could not foresee the present scenario and the rise of Mayawati and UNPA and the third front overtaking Advani and the BJP/NDA in the last lap.

Suddenly the BJP has to think and decide , should we sink the UPA and allow Mayawati and the UNPA to take advantage of the situation , and get form the Govt , for a period beyond which ADvani will be a mere memory or photograph in the walls of the BJP offices . or allow the UPA to survive today , and be better prepared fight Mayawati and the UNPA in 2009.

Poor thinking and planning by Advani and his so called Blue Eyed boys in BJP/NDA.

You may be right. Communists withdrew support to the UPA after re-confirming that SP will support UPA immediately. After UPA getting support from SP, Communists went to Mayawati and the rest is history !!!

The games Communist play in this country is very amusing. Due to this drama written during Cong-I and Communists "earlier meetings" before parting ways was just to stop the BJP to align with Mayawati after elections in future. In otherwords communists have permanenetly blocked the BJPs chances to cosyup with NDA allies as well as BSP, thus clearing the road blocks for the Cong-I to form the government once again in the name of saving secularism!!!
If BJP wants to rule india BJP ruled states must send maximum MPs otherwise BJP will be left with palying second fiddle or sit in the opposition.
