Pranab mukherjee, manmohan singh also spoke in english and both of them know hindi.

There are MPs from south India who doesn't know Hindi. Thats why it is always prefered to speak in english inside the parliament.
those who dont speak english, they dont know and those who only speak english, they dont know hindi.

Now please don't say that everyone should know national language. That should be a different forum altogether.

It would be good if some more BJP MPs abstain...
by Demo-crazy on Jul 22, 2008 10:09 AM  Permalink

We do not want Mayawati to be on the centrestage. The abhoring combination of Maya, Devegowda, Karat, Ajit Singh, etc should not be allowed to have the last laugh.

BJP will do well to wait until next elections to get the NDA a majority. Neither Maya, nor Karat, can do anything to stop it from coming to power.

Trust Vote Debate - Lack lusture speech by Advani
by jamsheed basha abumohammed on Jul 22, 2008 06:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The much awaited debate on the confidence motion in Lok Sabha was a lack lusture one,as there was not much fire work from the opposition. More so from the leader of the opposition, Advani. He was generalising the issue, while he was not averse for a strategic tie up with US,he will renegotiate the deal if comes to power,he called UPA as a patient in ICU,forgetting that normally ICU patients survive when his own NDA is ICCU,from where patients never come back alive.NDA is in ICCU because of large scale of absentation, defection and switching of loyalties. Its mainly because of demilitation of constituencies, where the sitting MPs would not be re-elected but not sure of the tickets. The NDA has given up hopes due to emergency of Mayawathi factor as the numbers are not with them.Manmohan Singh was signalling "V" to newsmen outside the parliament, a confident posture indeed never seen before. He has matured as a politician and was quick to reply to the media with such ease that a seasoned politician could not match him. Four years of murky politics has taught him many a lesson and this is beginning of the emergence of a new Manmohan Singh,a technocrat politician rather politician indeed. His moves in the number game, his talk to rival MPs,roping in of JMM leader Sibu Soren,MIM,all go speak that he is speaking the language the opposition understands.BJP,Mayawathi,UNPA all did their trick with inducement,so is SP and Congress played their part.Nobody could claim impunity from this game

NDA falling apart
by All Right on Jul 21, 2008 11:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

With the rise of the UNPA, LK Advanis;s Prime Ministerial bid has nose dived. BJP can by themselves hope to regain the Center without allies. The needed allies in Andhra Pradesh, UP, NE, West Bengal, Assam etc. All those parties which BJP were eyeing like TRS, TDP, TC, BSP have joined the 3rd Front.

As a result a trickle of defections from BJP-NDA is nowing threatening to turn to a flood.

However, a UPA win will burst the UNPA bubble as the reward for all Mayawati's poaching of MPs will be that she will be tried for corruption. Once UNPA disintegrates, these parties will flock back to either the NDA or UPA.

Advani Exposed a Typical Trait of all Knickerwallah
by All Right on Jul 21, 2008 11:20 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Knickerwallahs are known to like Goebbelian communications techniques. Advani in his speech against the motion accused Nehru wanting to sign the NPT. Pranab Murkherjee literally caught him with his pants down. He retorted that how Nehru who died in 1962 could sign a NPT which came into force only in the 70s? That will headline news tomorrow

Apart from this, Advani's speech was a damn squid.

What indignation from you, ... on an alleged untruth about someone who is dead 50 years... :-)

Now you can appreciate how poor Indians are smouldering at Manmohan's routine experiments with truth.... coz it affects each and every one of us NOW.... and in future....

You and Pranab can keep catching things of past, which neither gonna make or break anything in future.... But then that's all you can do, innit?...

Apart from that your message wasn't even a "damp squib".... ;-)
(Hope you'd learn the proper usage of the English language some day... )..

Manmohan is not a nice guy as portrayed
by Suraj Singh on Jul 21, 2008 10:33 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

He has sought the votes of convicts, indulged in horse trading and tied up with the likes of Amar Singh.
Why is he a nice guy?
He is another crooked politician.

Myth #11: India needs more nuclear power to assure its energy future.

Fact: Nuclear power has been virtually insignificant in India’s energy mix in the past, and will be no more important in the future. India has been generating electricity with nuclear reactors for more than 40 years. Yet, reactors supply only 2% to 3% of its electricity today. India has not built more reactors because they have not turned out to be as safe, or as clean, or – most important – as economical as originally thought. Even if India were to achieve a 50% increase in nuclear power generation (which is unlikely) such a step would only increase India’s overall electricity output by one percent at most, and would only increase India’s overall energy output by a fraction of one percent. That is not a significant increase in the energy available to India and would not decrease India’s demand for oil and gas.

He is not politician thats why he has always worked for country unlike crooked politicians. In fact he was always opposed by all the political parties in the past also. He has already created history by opening Indian market and this nuclear deal will be his second best gift to country.

You aren't a good bargainer I see.... you must constantly be getting duped by salemen of differing descriptions throughout your life... :-)
