Due to dictatorship of the Sonia Parivar it amy b a distinct possibility. A person, who failed in his endeavour of helping the party suucessively in UP, Gujrat & K'taka can become PM. It is possible in Congress party only.

Dr Singh, Please join with BJP Party and finish Nuke Deal
by selva babu on Jul 21, 2008 07:24 PM  Permalink

Dr Singh, Please join with BJP and give ideas about Nuke Deal. WE will grow better in BJP's hand rather than Congress. Because Congress is very slow govt and they only think about minorities for any plans.

In BJP Narendra Modi will give you more boost to become strong person. It is healthy for you.

Poor Left & Mayawati!
by VH on Jul 21, 2008 07:16 PM  Permalink

Where is Sahadevan KK? Left party is broken and dumped to the corner.

BJP will make sure UPA win the trust vote and tease Left party saying that Mayawati is leading them. With that BJP make sure two things are in place. First to paint Left party is leaderless or with dumb leaders like Mr & Mrs Karat. Second the teased left and other parties denie that Mayawati is their leader. Poor Mayawati! If she is lucky she may still be the chief minister of UP by the end of the year!

History will salute Somnath for...
by Demo-crazy on Jul 21, 2008 07:13 PM  Permalink

...standing up to the Ka-rats who wanted dictate terms.

If India signs up the deal, it will be a strategic blow for India's super power plans. Communists who do not want to see India attain those heights are trying to obstruct the unstated strategic import of the deal.

NDA, UPA should tell the communists to pack off. The split in communist bastion shows that there are some national elements left in there. Good if we can see the back of Karat, Raja, Bardhan, Yechuri, etc.

Perks are too many to loose
by anuj agarwal on Jul 21, 2008 07:11 PM  Permalink

Government functionaries are getting too many perks and doing no meaningful work.
Hence they will not leave their posts.
In any case today's politicians are devoid of any ethics and are all thugs.
GOD save democracy in India.

Mr. Somnath Chatterjee, PLEASE READ THIS
by bnyalamalli on Jul 21, 2008 07:06 PM  Permalink

You are a very senior parlimentarian. You are right in sticking to Speakers post, since Speaker is above party politics. (though you have not demonstrated this quality on numerous occasions). BUT YOU ARE WRONG in saying that you did not resign to avoid voting along side of BJP.As a veteran parlimentarian, you should not have said this. There will be so many issues while voting. Who is voting for or against is not the issue. You are free to differ with BJP on many counts. But you should use your franchise on national issues. If you have not made the second comment and it is only a media creation, please excuse me.Otherwise!
