One word to sum this up
by Rajeev Iyer on Jul 21, 2008 05:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The Tamil language most times has some rather succinct concepts to describe situations.

For this situation explained above regarding Mamta and her ideas, there is one apt word in the Tamil language to reply to her::

PODI

P.S. :: Apologies to non Tamilians on this board, approximately podi translates to go-to-hell-you-female. Apologies to Tamilians on this board who understand the aptness of podi in this context and are apalled by my poor translation of the same!!! lol

i may vote to bjp
by SASI on Jul 21, 2008 05:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I would vote for BJP. The reason is in their last rule they done better than any other government. Few of to note

1). They support well for the small scale industries.

2). There was no scarcity for any food products because they supported farmers with credit card system.

3). The started to built infrastructure well, this was the one of the weakest area in INDIA since freedom.

4). The daily requirements like gas, petrol, diesel were supplied adequete.

5). They maintained a rapport with rich countries, so they managed financial crises well.

6). Since freedom every western countries supports to pakistan, But the BJP rule made all wester countries supports INDIA rather than pakistan.

Like this there is many things to say..

1.Preplanned Godra Massacre and Gujarat Riots - Narendra's Chair Safe.
2. For the b'day celebration of Vajpayee, killed 40 poor ladies.
3. Released Terrorist and escort to Kandhar.
4. Kargil war, got money for each soldiers death thru Fernandes (Caffein)
5. Riots - here and there.
6. All Government establishment sold and finally put parliament on sale.
7. somebody made Nuclear Bomb and take the credit in the way of Pokhran, that way nuclear isolation to Inda
8. Lists are more.....

1. If you are so sure about them plannign Godhra then what is stopping you from coming out with proof? I too can say your Dad (No offence to him) planned all the riots tha thave occured so far in India!
2. Same as 1
3. Any Govt would have done the same - Didnt VP Singh release Rubiya Saeed and Isnt the Congress keeping Afzal Guru safe?
4. This one I agree - they could have saved hundreds of live had they been vigilant. They messed up with Kargil
5. Same as 4. They should have managed the riot situation better - but well every Govt so far has been like that!
6. It was goo dhtat the Govt establishments were sold - People atlest started working in the Govt organizations - As of Parliament, thanks to the people in there it has become one useless entity - nobody respects it anymore
7. You dont agree with them taking the credit for the Nuke Bomb but at the same time you blame them for the Nuclear isolation which washte result of the same test ... what is this Paradox?

On one side we have blind BJP supporters liek Sasi, inspite of the BJP's shortcomings and on the other side we have blind BJP haters like you inspite of their good ddeeds - Good going :))

1). They support well for the small scale industries : Support with Data ( I too can claim that largest number of industries were closed in BJP's rule)

2). There was no scarcity for any food products because they supported farmers with credit card system. R u joking!!!! In BJP's rule, inflation reached all time high without any global slow down or crude oil price rise!! Have u forgotten Rs 100 per KG onions days n adulterated mustered oils!!

3> There was no scarcity for any food products because they supported farmers with credit card system. (Again support it with data)

4> The daily requirements like gas, petrol, diesel were supplied adequete. Now don't tell me tht.. I still remember , we had a large scarcity of LPG in those days..

5> They maintained a rapport with rich countries, so they managed financial crises well. ??????????????? Wht do u mean?? Did they strike some similar kind of deal which helped India??

6> Since freedom every western countries supports to pakistan, But the BJP rule made all wester countries supports INDIA rather than pakistan. Oh really!!!!!!!

To be fair to the BJP, 2,3 and 4 have been good, but for a brief hikje in the onion price - The food had been in excess and the inflation reached the all time low of below 3% under the BJP rule ... and by the way Global Slowdown happen during the BJP rule, not to mention 9/11

The farmers were fighting for the minimum support price those days becaus there was excess foodgrain production and no takers!

The Gas/Petrol prices didnt spiral out of control.

I am not saying they managed everything well .. but they did well on the Food and the Economy fronts ... When BJP tookover, the Dollar value was around 45 and when the Congress tookover it came down to 41 .. and the Dollar was strong in 2004!

TMC-extra constitutional
by AswathaKumar Kamale on Jul 21, 2008 05:21 PM  Permalink

TMC seems to be a extra constitutional party for the people who do not have to be identified with the nuclear dilemma.
How can Mamta obstruct and donot properly discharge her democratic duty at this hour of nation. Her followers also will be obstructing the democratic processes althrough the state/country. What is the use of being a Leader?

This lady after enjoying Desired Ministries from these UPA/NDA previously now speaks that she says that she cannot vote along with forces like the CPI-M or the BJP. Ideologically, it can neither vote for the Congress.". Is she thinking that memory of the people is very poor, and kindly advise her that people are not such foolish as they are in West Bengal, who are blindly & continously electing this useless Commies for the last 30years.
By keeping Nandigram/Singur issue burning this lady wants to grow individually this time that is why she is saying all this cock & bull stories.
She says that Bengal will not go to Newdelhi, Newdelhi to come to Bengal, is she thinking that this no confidence motion against Prime Minister is taking place in West Bengal Assembly? If she doesn't want to go to New Delhi why she has contested for Parliament? If such is the case I challenge her not to field any candidates from Trinamal congress next time for Parliament elections, as New Delhi cannot come to West Bengal at any point of time.

Thanx 2 Didi for pointing out the actual problem of d Nation
by arup chkraborty on Jul 21, 2008 05:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

When the prices of essential commodities are going through the roof, the government should have focused on curbing inflation rather than stirring up the controversy over the nuclear deal. Now is not the time to discuss if the nuclear deal is to be signed or not, now is the time to stand by the poor people of India who are struggling to meet both ends meet --- 100% correct Statement...Mamata Banerjee proves that she is not like the common politicians who are only think about himself/herself or his/her party benefit, rather she has pointed out about the actual problem of our country.and at the same time, While MPs are sold at the price of Rs. 25-30 crores Mamata Banerjee once again proves that how much honest she is. Thanks Didi for ur such kind of decisions.

Didi go for a hide and seek Bhookh Hartal. You think Local act on gully basis.

You are always defying " Think Big". Your ideas are inward rather than expansive. You dont show people any future plans but just shout against whatever is done. You can criticise very weel ..but can you build anything????????
