N deal has to become a reality like IT, auto and services in India. This will bring proud to India. Any Govt without left would run much better and now BSP another spoiler. We request polititians to work for the country and support PM who is dedicated for the cause of India. This is one more golden opportunity.
All the defections including that of Shahid Siddiqui shows it is not UPA but UNPA and NDA that are indulging in the defection game. But Shahid Siddiqui's defection has made the game clearer:
a. The Left's game-plan is to foster Mayawati on the nation b. As the UNPA gains momentum, BJP's prospect of victory shrinks. What follows maybe is mass desertion by regional parties, particularly of NDA towards UNPA c. The deal is being opposed as anti-Muslim
Within these re-alignments taking place, the BJP and NDA strategically are covertly encouraging abstentions. A UPA win will burst the UNPA bubble as the reward for all Mayawati's poaching of MPs will be that she will be tried for corruption.
Only the brave take risks.Cowards like the commies and the BJP avoid risks and pay the price. The UPA and MMS have done the right thing. Should they win, they should go ahead with all their reformist plans and history will prove like that happend in 91, that they took the decisions
The words"as of now" are very important in the statement of the cabinet and conveys billion things expected from a politicians. It can be safely concluded as the thinking at this time/hour/or minute which could transform- depending on the political convenience emerging our of such compulsions.People are wise enough to understand the intentions of the politicians who can no more fool them with their tricky and ambiguous statements. If the same is asked for a clarification by an independent promising MP,it changes its interpretation and connotes that, after all, it has not closed the doors for expansion of cabinet later i.e after the govt is bailed out from the crisis of no confidence motion.
ITS BETTER FOR CONGRESS TO LOSE THE NO CONFIDENCE MOTION THIS TIME OVER THIS ONE SIDED DEAL WITH USA .OTHERWISE ,IF CONGRESS DOES MANAGE TO SCRAP THROUGH ..THEY WILL GO THROUGH HELL FOR 1 MORE YEAR BEFORE THE GENERAL ELECTIONS...BECAUSE THE SMALL PARTIES AND INDEPENDENTS THAT SUPPORT THEM WILL CREATE HELL FOR CONGRESS FOR MINISTERY POSITIONS OR LARGE SUMS OF MONEY... THEY ALL WILL PLUCK CONGRESS LIKE A PACK OF DOGS AND IN THE END CONGRESS WILL BE IN SUCH A STATE THAT THEY MIGHT MANAGE TO LIMP TO ONLY 50 SEATS WHEN THEY GENERAL ELECTIONS IN A YEARS TIME...

For the sake of the country, this sounds very true and likely. Thank you for your comments.

deal is good, congress is bad. Please don't mix-up the issues. BJP can support the deal and still come to power at center by raising issues of common man like inflation.

Energy wise, Nuclear power is no solution to India's energy needs. Politically, the deal would make India a vassal state. MMS is already talking about hnading over Indian banks also to US interests. This guy MMS is dangerous.

There are scientists who work in the government establishment that support the deal. I see them as more credible than you who has not given any credible reason for opposing the deal. Some vague sense of India being imperialised like the communists.

First develop the technology of thorium. Nuclear deal is to sabotage India's nuclear program rather than helping it.

conspiracies do happen, but your conspiracies are not limited to just the energy sector, you have gripes regarding banks and what not. You can pick a hole wherever you want to.

First read some genuine articles from people who have credibility. Don't always search for conspiracy articles written by weirdos. That will get you nowhere.

You seem like a conspiracy believer. Thorium based reactors need spent fuel that can be obtained from years of use of the imported reactors.

Energy wise, India can use the imported reactors and technology to increase it's much needed power demand. How do you think an economy can maintain it's growth? Can you clarify why nuclear power is no solution for India's energy needs? Do you have any other alternatives in mind that can be implemented on a large scale? Please read today's interview of Kokadkar, AEC Chief in The Hindu paper. He details why the deal is good for India and can be used as a means to bring in thorium based fast breeder reactors that will multiply power supply from the nuclear sector. How will India turn into a vassal state of USA by going for the deal? I don't think that is true.

BJP will be perceived as taking anti-development, anti-national stand by many of it's loyal middle class voters if it votes against the deal. It will affect the party a great deal in the cities when elections come.
Dr Manmohan Singh is serving the country with honesty, loyalty and efficiency but who cares for all these qualities in this country? Each and every politician is worried about himself, his fmaily and his political goel.Name any, take for example Mayavati, is dreaming to be PM, P S Badal is worried about his Government, if he supports MM he will lose BJP support and will be reelection in state. then how he can support his son Sukhbir S Badal. DeV gowda is also worried about himself and his son. It is unprincipled and corrupt politics which ruining this country. May God bless our leaders with wisdom and selflessnes only then there welfare of our motherland

If MMS is honest his moves should not have lead to horse trading and Cong-I and its allies are busy buying PMs and asking some of them to abstain from voting.
It is better if MMS makes all the supporting 272 MPs as cabinet and MOS ministers !!!!!!!!!!! He will create history and not by signing "historic" N-deal with horse trading/ single MP taking this nation to ransom.

Do you think sordid ame being played by Amar Singh, Shibu Soren ; criminals being ferried from jail to help, are being done without consent and directives of MMS and Sonia ? If they are really as good as projected by media, they should resign and face election on the issue of Nuclear Deal. Instead, they are doing all dubious deals with power brokers and criminals.

Except that MMS is selling the country in whole sale. Pumping up stock market with shady money is not honest, loyalty or efficiency. In the last four years, 100 billion dollars worth of Indian money has been transferred to western banks through Indian stock markets.

What is so principled about MMS? He did not reveal what was in the deal even though they later acknowledge that BJP had initiated the deal long back. He is always after minorities votes. He is very loyal to the Congress president. Are these qualities so great in your opinion?
means handing over all the hard earned money of Indians to the western banks. Overnight India can be paupersied. British took two centuries to suck India's wealth. Bnaks can do it in a few hours.

Does America allow foreign banks? Name one country which allows foreign banks? There are just couple of ICICI branches in US that too only when they bought billions of subprime loan which became zero.
I say yank even 26% foreign equity from Indian banks. India does not need 'expertise' of US banks.
US banks are ALL INSOLVENT--all of them. They need trillions of dollars of bail out. You want Indian banks to become like that?
