WE MUSLIMS OPPOSE OHBNOBBING WEST OR US
by truthsayer on Jul 21, 2008 11:50 AM  Permalink

Strategic Partnership Basis is:

1. India will be West's ally in its Future WAR with ISLAM.

2. Strong and united India is in West's interest as it will act as bullwork against spread of Islamic influence in South Asia.

SO my country s hobnobbing with EVIL west in WAR against Islam, and I am supposed to suport such moves as nationalist ... sic !!

As long as Indian government does not issue a
Foreign Policy Declaration outright DISTANCING from these two points, any Indian foreign Policy initiative with US is ANTI Muslims and Pro Western Hegemony !!

Read on Telegraph why sonia/mms/congress should be tried for treason
by Proud Hindustani on Jul 21, 2008 10:54 AM  Permalink

All the above six betrayals are part of a conspiracy to make the outcome of the trust vote irrelevant to an international deal which, as the BJP has pointed out in its statement of July 17, 'has serious implications for India's national security in perpetuity.' The BJP has rightly asked the government why it has hurriedly sent a team of officials to meet the IAEA secretariat in Vienna for a meeting on July 18 -- barely four days before the trust vote in Parliament on July 22. It has also demanded that 'all further action in respect of the nuclear deal be suspended by the government until it proves its majority on the floor of the House, in keeping with the moral standards and political norms of parliamentary democracy.'

But does the Congress care for moral standards when, according to CPI leader A B Bardhan, it is indulging in horse-trading by offering Rs 25 crore to each non-UPA MP willing to support the government? When it is trying to seek the support of five MPs imprisoned for their role in heinous crimes?

And does the prime minister care for norms of parliamentary democracy when he has, with his brinkmanship, destabilised his own government and forced his party to resort to the most corrupt practices known in the history of Parliament in order to ensure its survival on July 22. The only thing he seems to care for is laddoos in both hands; and he seems to think that he will have at least one, the nuclear deal, even if he loses the other -- his government.

It is hi

Criminally anti national stand by BJP.
by Himalay on Jul 21, 2008 10:37 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Its a tragedy for Indian democracy that a matter of such national importance is politicised in such a manner.
The stand taken by BJP is criminally anti national stand, even BJP wanted such a co-operation with US when they were in power in the centre, now they are against it only bcos UPA has proposed it this time, they are only misleading the nation by cooking up one story ot the other against the deal, all this at the cost of the nation. I don't think UPA would have opposed this deal if NDA had proposed it, i have never seen any party stooping to such lows time and again to grab power in the centre. BJP is a bunch of crooks.

BJP is not opposed to the Civilian Nuke-Deal. It is only asking the UPA Congress Govt to amend certain harmful clauses in the agreement. BJP is trying to safeguard Indian interests. The congress should have noted the negatives in agreement before entering in crisis like the present.

Issue of whip to party members to vote against their conscience should be declared illegal by the judiciary. How can one stop a representative of people to exercise vote for the good of their own Country?

Where is the ethics!
by peearen on Jul 21, 2008 10:08 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In Karnataka four MLAs from JDS and Congress defected to BJP within a month of their election to Assembly. BJP shamelessly not only admitted them to party but also offered three of them Cabinet Ministers posts. Now in Parliament which is suppose to be the highest Institute under Constitution such game is played by other parties including the ruling UPA. The whole country is sick of these political games. It is an insult to democracy and people when theur representatives sold like prostitutes for money. It is time people teach those shameless politicians a lesson which they would remember throughout the rest of their life.

India will move ahead
by VB on Jul 21, 2008 10:05 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

N deal has to become a reality like IT, auto and services in India. This will bring proud to India. Any Govt without left would run much better and now BSP another spoiler. We request polititians to work for the country and support PM who is dedicated for the cause of India. This is one more golden opportunity.

No PM has risked his Govt for the national cause but Mr. Manmohan did. This is a land mark decision and will prove benefitial for India. His past record is also without any selfish motive and he is a dedicated person.

Rise of Mayawati, BJP engineering absentions to cut her to Size
by All Right on Jul 21, 2008 08:27 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

All the defections including that of Shahid Siddiqui shows it is not UPA but UNPA and NDA that are indulging in the defection game. But Shahid Siddiqui's defection has made the game clearer:

a. The Left's game-plan is to foster Mayawati on the nation
b. As the UNPA gains momentum, BJP's prospect of victory shrinks. What follows maybe is mass desertion by regional parties, particularly of NDA towards UNPA
c. The deal is being opposed as anti-Muslim

Within these re-alignments taking place, the BJP and NDA strategically are covertly encouraging abstentions. A UPA win will burst the UNPA bubble as the reward for all Mayawati's poaching of MPs will be that she will be tried for corruption.

Dear An Indian or Paki or whatever you are.

Normal muslims (90% of the muslim population) never goes to mullas for seeking advice on their daily business, instead do opposite what a mullah will advice. These mullas get limelight due to the media coverage which is provided mainly by non-muslims.
Your views reflect your irrational and illogical hatred against muslims and contains nothing but self cooked stories. First of all, find out facts and then post a message.

I am also a Muslim, but disagree with True Indian.

Minorities in any democracy can vote en-bloc. Any call by leadership to vote en-bloc is very much acceptable in matured democracy.
Same privilege is not available to Majoity, though

MMS should realize half the nation is not in his favor

Even if he crosses 50% mark marginally, it still means ~50% is against Congress policies. Why is the majority mark set as 50%? It should be 2/3 right? MMS should resign on moral grounds.

who told you nation is not in his favour..as per the opinion poll conducted by a ntaional news channel, only 15% opposed the nuclear deal.. even inside the parliament, if there are no personal interests like seat for next election, money, power etc, majority of MPs will vote for the nuclear deal.
