Speaker by way of his sticking to the office proves that he is also part of the capitalist parliamentary system. Every politician involving in the bourgeois parliament will have a lust of power and position. Somnath Chatterjee was an elected MP representing CPI(M). He was not elected as MP and Speaker on his personal merits, but truly as a CPI(M) leader. He also must need to learn dialectical science as his grasp of marxism-leninism is very shallow and revisionist. He must need to learn the political relevance of fighting imperialism globally by aligning with all anti-imperialist forces on national level. If the speaker still sticks to his continuance in office, a marxist leninist party will take an appropriate action against the errant. He is not above the party and every party member must follow the party ideals and constitution. Somnath should never be a toy playing in the hands of Manmohan - UPA - Yankee clique.

Marx & Lenin & communisim have no value in this world. All commies leave this ideology as early as possible otherwise u will be kicked out any entire world.
I see a lot of people complaining about bringing down the government and putting personal gains ahead of national benefit. Is that not what politics is all about, what is new here. Has not the congress done this so many times in so many states like Andhra, Tamil Nadu etc. Did it not bring down the Chandrasekhar govt. giving a very flimsy reason that a police constable was spying on Rajiv Gandhi. If it is OK to bring down a govt. for such a trivial issue, it is OK to bring down a govt. over a questionable deal. Politics is about coming to power, whether congress or BJP. Can Congress survive without being in power for two terms. Had Congress not managed to stitch up some alliance and come to power in 2004, they would have been decimated. It is self preservation. BJP desperately needs to come back to power to preserve itself and this is the most opportune time to do that. Inflation is rising, people are completely disenchanted with the policies of the government. If they dont capitalize on this chance, who knows what will happen - inflation may subside, P Chidambaram will come up populist measures such as a free colour TV to every family in India. He may raise the income tax ceiling to 15 laksh per year or something so that no one pays tax. His logic is simple, if congress wins the elections, he will add riders to these promises or even take these back citing financial hardship or national security or some such crap. If congress loses, the NDA will have to hold good on thes

IT APPEARS THAT SOMNATH CHATTERJEE IS CLOSING HIS EYES ON THE PAST. HE HAS NOT REACHED THE POST OF THE LOK SABHA SPEAKER RIGHT FORM HIS MOTHER'S WOMB. HE WAS ASSOCIATED WITH A POLITCAL PARTY AND THAT PARTY HAS CHOSEN AS THEIR REPRESENTATIVE TO LOKSABHA FOR SEVERAL TERMS AND THAT PARTY CHOSEN HIS NAME AS SPEAKER JUST TO ENSURE THE CONG AND UPA THAT THEIR ISSUE BASED SUPPORT TO CENTRE IS A SERIOUS ONE. NOW SINCE HIS PARTY FELT THAT THE CONG AND UPA IS NOT GIVING ANY CREDIT TO THE ISSUES POINTED OUT BY THEM, HIS PARTY HAS WITHDRAWN THE SUPPORT. HENCE, IT WAS / IS EXPECTED THAT THE SPEAKER WILL QUIT HIS POST. BUT CLINGING ON THE SPEAKER'S POST CLAIMING CONSTITUTIONAL REASONS IS A PROOF THAT HE HAS ALSO BECOME A VICTIM OF PARLIAMENTARY OPPORTUNISM. PUTTING HIS INDIVIDUAL EGO ABOVE HIS PARTY WILL BE A FOOLISH ACT. HE WILL REALIZE THE SAME SOON.

Nair, etiquette demands that you do not use Capital letters. It amounts to shouting.
I believe that Speaker's position is neutral etc is hogwash. Som babu remains a CPM guy fundamentally and he needs to understand that and respect that. The Speaker duties can always be taken over by the standby person.

Just dream for such Sachidananda Blissness - It is called maya, you know. Maya theory of Advaita vendanta is relevent here. In this world of cosmic maya, you people do no want to face the reality of this world as is. If somebody comes forward and find out the fault of the society and suggest remedial mesaures, you cannot accept them. You do not even have an alternate suggestion. Hence, exploitation continues. This is called maya. Big fish eats small fish, bigger nations conqures smaller ones, strong conqures weak. Come out of this maya, boldly and gently

Karat requires the boot from the party and the people after MS wins the trust vote. Only after Karat is given the kick on the Back S... should there be some reproachment.

I salute Dr Manmohan Singh for his vision and sincere desire for the development for our country. Any other Indian politician would have made his position safe by opting not to go for the deal. Like his decision in 1991, this may invite lot of criticism from other political parties, who has only personal and party level interests and no loyalty to the country. Parties like left strongly opposed the economy reforms he made in 91, but now any citizen in our country can understand the benefits of that. I wonder what would have been the situation of the youths in india if that reforms didnt happen in 1991. Irrespective of the political bias, request all to support Dr Manmohan Singh in having the nuclear deal go through.
There is a match tomorrow like between India and Pakistan. Crackers are ready, when it is on the sky, please come, Sahadevan will be there. If it occurs in the whole India, please don't abuse me. People is much happy to topple.

be a man..place your country before the party. The ideology that you stand for is utopian. If it is forced, it will bring nothing but isolation and eventual ruin

Today politics require a lot of travelling and people contact. All oldies above 55 must be barred for active politics. Our country requires drastic political reforms. All laws made in 1950 for people welfar has become obsolete, they have become leaders favouring. Casteism, prejudices, regionalism has become vote bank.

I AGREE ALL YOUTHS SHOULD COME FORWARD AND DEMAND YOUNGH CANDIDATES FOR ELECTIONS ACROSS ALL PARTIES. ALL ELECTED MEMBERS SHOULD COMPELSARILY BE ASKED TO RETIRE AT 58 YEARS. JUST AS THE WORKING CLASS THEY CANNOT BE AN EXCEPTION.
Somnath is absolutely correct in his stand.. when this dirty commies try to prevent any growth.. though Budhadv try to polish Bengal now.. living standard is below average.. if they are true with their idiology why it is one of the poorest state in India.. they did nothing for the muslims.. minorities.. or poor people... the leaders are infact the burshas... Somnath has to form a new party spliting CPM.. surely he will have enough support.. Mr.Karat never realised.. he has no other option.. but to go with Cong.. again the election (though they can win only a few seats)..as there is no hope for a third front in India.. all these worms like parties either has to support Cong.. or BJP.. then where their so called idiology will go?? One of their leader replied .. they are not bother about tomorrow... but today they want the govt to fall... Commies are not bothers about future India.. and our hard earned money that we pay as Taxes.. No where in the world.. but only in India.. such people can exists... wish if everyone think twice before voting......
Somath who is in parliament for last 40years being asked to resign by Karat who never fought even Municipal election. This democracy has been hijacked by those who are not really anyway connected with people. Cant everybody be allowed to vote as per their innerfeeling why whips? Is it true people's opinion being reflected in parliament? We talk of great democracy.

Same is the case of Manmohan Singh who has never won directly to Parliament and who is ransacking the country by going to No trust motion and there by making all the MPs crorepathi's.

Karat is above parliamentary ambitions. Somnath wanted to contest presidential elections which was not allowed by CPM.This is the reason he is against CPM leadership.Dont misunderstand that the speaker is above poltics
Manmohan is not worried, because he doesnt have to face the people. He never contested elections. This year also he was selected from Assam as RajyaSabha MP and gave a statement that he is a permanent resident of Assam just to contest elections!!Shameless PM. I appreciate Karat. he belongs to the rarest generation where Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya belonged to.He believes in principles

You are right he is from Generation of Deendayl upadhyaya helping BJP, because Karat very well know who will come in power in case of Mid term election.
