Its a god send gift - Karat's Brain
by Revolutionary on Jul 21, 2008 12:56 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Every body would agree that BJP's victory in Karnataka was made easy despite heavy presence of Cong. because of only one reason

Split in the secular vote.

Presently BJP's inner circles are full of glee and smiles over the nonpolitik idealogical ayaotallah calle karat's every move. Yet this inner circle is cunningly trying to hide this for being exposed.

Karat's move of Third front is nothing but foundation to split the secular vote so that this NDA (already hungry) will sail through the canal easily.

It return of the era of "Jackal Politics" (congregation of smaller parties which does not have any national policy and a national ideology) once again in India. The previous era was during the United Front's rise (which actually played a major role in BJP's fortunistic rise)

CPM decision
by V K Nair on Jul 21, 2008 12:47 PM  Permalink

The Communist Party Marxist (CPM) have already committed political suicide when they decided to join hands with the most notorious woman politician in the country alive - Ms Mayavathi. What a degradation of principles for power! Politicians like these men are a blot on the face of the nation known for its non-violence and truthfulness. Shun these idots and save the nation.

This list looks more impressive than the failed (back door specialists - rajya sabha mps) and programmable puppets who occupy the seats of Central ministers in UPA cabinet, President and speaker.

one more addition:

Home Minister; Vrinda Karat
Telecom : Any 8 class pass leader from Kerala
For HRD, Karat may consider the name of Mr M.A. Baby, who is the present capable Education Minister of Kerala, who could not complete his gradutation till this date due to party reasons.

Speaker episode....
by Dattaprasad Prabhu on Jul 21, 2008 12:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Somnath Chatterjee was given the ticket by his party, that is why he was elected and that is how he was made the speaker. For democracy party is above all and not a person. So it was his utmost duty to resign the post of Speaker on the day one when the crisis loomed. It is a mere convention that speaker is bondless of party, i.e. nonpartison and ther is no constitutional forbearance wrt that as it is made clear in one article in The Indian Express by Fali H. Nariman. This is very much clear from the rulings of former speaker Mr. Balaram Jakhar who left no opportunity to suppres the opposition voice of protest whenever the matter regarding notorious BOFORS kikbacks was being discussed in the Loksabha(1987-1988). Similerly, Mr. Chatterjee had tried to save this UPA Govt. at least thrice since Aug.2004(may be to keep BJP away from power; the prime MOTO of HIS party; the CPI(M)) from doom and that was why he had to bear the wrath of the entire opposition (the oppn. wanted to move a no confidence motion against the speaker). In such circumstances he should either land in the Congress camp openly -- as is done by the 2 BJP MPs -- or resign forthwith as MP and abstain from referendum.

Nuclear deal- Shifting slavery
by Rajan Sodankur on Jul 21, 2008 12:25 PM  Permalink

This deal would just shift Indian society's energy slavery to the oil producing countries to nuclear fuel producing countries, just as we don't have the complete infra structure or nuke fuel supply security. If nuclear supplies have not brought energy security and prosperity to those who offer to sell them, it is foolish to think it will bring us securoty and prosperity. Give our public and private and even multi-national companies, in India like Reliance, Tatas,L & T, BHEL, CEL, ABB, Suzlon, NTPC, Suzlon a free hand-they can work wonders in upgrading our Indian coal to environ friendly gaseous and liquid fuels, net work all kinds of renewable energies like wind, hydro, tidal, solar thermal and solar photovoltaic, biomass, bio-gas; and the international oil and nuclear cartel will collapse. Don't expect the dirty politicans to lead us into this bright alternative future; we need to support and encourage the right thinking Indian and NRI scientists and engineers along this line. Once we are determined and pursue this goal even foreign venture capaitalist would make a beeline to India to share the bigger energy cake.

Fate of India
by chandra singh on Jul 21, 2008 12:13 PM  Permalink

I wonder what would be fate of India, if commies, Mayawati, Mulayam, Karunanidhi are going to play important role in political scenario. Believe me parties like BJP and Congress are 100 and 1000 times better than these parties. See what they have done to their states. West Bengal and UP are best examples. People of these states are being compelled to leave their states and go to other states in search of jobs and living and if they said parties and persons will come in power in centre then all Indians will have to leave India or there will be situation of armed rebellion. So, folks we need to support parties like BJP and Congress rather than above named proven morons.

Is Somnath Honest
by baidyutin friend on Jul 21, 2008 12:07 PM  Permalink

If Somnath thinks that as soon as he had become the speaker of the parliament he is no more with any party then for what reasons were he partcipating in CPI-M meetins and rallies in Bengal for the last 4 and 1/2 years. He is a known hypocrite and icon of whatCPI-M stands for -opportunism. He is also keeping a spac for dialogue between Jyoti Basu and Sonia Gandhi for post poll alliance. Then CPI-M can go to the people a somebdy against the deal and post poll they will patch up to fight communalism(?)
