If nuclear deal no now then may be under Maya rule but nuclear deal will be done
by uday on Jul 19, 2008 03:27 PM  Permalink

If the country is amongst the fastest growing economies in the world then it is due to the policy decisions taken a decade & more back. The liberalisation was resisted then but even the left is trying to woo the industrialists now in WB.The telecom policy, the decision to have Sam Pitrod at the helm of affairs, has brought the country at the top of telecom generation.the nuclear deal even if it fails today due to the detractors, wil be brought up tomorrow by some good thinking leader, the only thing is one generation of Indian would have suffered by then.It is not the party or the individual who matters but the policies & there are no policies with the left other than distructive policies.Do not know why people like BUDDHADEB b. STILL STICK TO THIS PARTY?
Maydevi if becomes PM,( not impossible in our fraction ridden politics)& has some sense(doubtful seeing her present form), then she will be taking it forward.Delay wil only cause one generation of Indians to suffer.

ITS A SHAME!!!!!!!!!
by satish achary on Jul 19, 2008 03:26 PM  Permalink

It is indeed a shame that some one like the veteran politician Mr.Bardhan makes such an oppurtunistic and shameless statement. It seems the whole of the Left has run of ideas and is now going crazy in a bid to highlight their defunt and disasterous ideology.
Since Independence I dont think the Left has ever been in a position to rule the country. In fact they never joined any government too. They always play it safe by supporting from outside and making life hell for the ruling party, whoever it is.
It is a proven fact that the Left ideology is not working anywhere in the world. What our so called Left leaders are looking upto is China. They cant think beyond China. But they dont have the common sense to see that China has maintained a perfect balance between socialism and liberalisation. If Chinese economy is doing well, it is only because of this balanced plan. Our leading Left leaders like Mr.Bardhan, Mr. Karat, Mr. Yechury etc only stick to the old Leftist Marxist ideology which has been proved to be a disaster in Germany and USSR. They hark on about Cuba. But what is the condition of Cuba? They have only the Havana Cigars to flout around the world. They are actually living in 1950's. What is the use of such a state and such an ideology? It is common sense that the state or the government cannot take care of every thing. The private sector has to be allowed to grow and only then the country can develop. If only Indian governments of the past had stuck to developing infr

N-Deal
by IndianEconomy on Jul 19, 2008 03:21 PM  Permalink

There are two type of people I know. One is the begger living nearby area. He is harmless, he only ask money or food from us. If we said no then he will go obediently and come next day. He is very simple man. No Own house, Car , good cloths etc.
Another person is somewhat selfish , he created one export industry and gave the job oppertunity to 100 people. He gave the salary around 10 lakhs /month (for 100 employee)and get all these 100 people energy for his industry.

In the above example who is supporting the harmless begger and who is supporting the industrialist. Who India needed now.
I do not know who is best. My communist friend said begger is best. Another friend is said Industrialist.

Stupidity of the left
by mintoy cherian on Jul 19, 2008 03:10 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is better to give the prime ministership to a begger rather than giving to Mayawathi. kudos to Praksh karat, bardan and left.. I think they will spoil the great name INIDA. We should thorw these politicians out of our county, who is always against growth of the country.

If people of this country elect Maya as PM, who are you to criticize the wisdom of the people? Ultimately, this country is tolerating Narendra Modi as CM!

Modi has not changed Gujrat but the fact is that Gujrat is developing despite Modi.
