we had 1000s of local kingdoms in prte-independent India.
It is good to see Gowda becoming Gadha. Not that he is becoming one now, right from the day he has been acting like a Gadha. Shame on you, please leave politics and manage donkeys.
Manmohan Singh says I will sign the nuclear deal come what may. Its already July, the alleged economics doctor has sent the economy out of order. At least economy ki barah mat baja!!

Kindly refrain from making personal comments about the PM. The word 'alleged' is in very poor taste. Everybody is entitled to his opinion. But being derogatory is better avoided

Mr. Thanappan, It is distasteful for you to be derogatory for an upright person like Manmohan Singh just because you are opposed to his political leanings. As to answering the other part of your "charges", it is pertinent to recall that the global oil prices are not in any Indian's hand. It is not for an Indian to stop the diversion of rich agriculture land in the US Mid-West regions to bio-fuel. It is also not in the hands of any Indian that the rich agricultural lands of Australia have experienced drought for the last 4 years or so. It also cannot be said to be the fault of Manmohan that he has diverted a huge amount of money for feeding those who are the most destitute in this nation of ours thru the NREG Scheme. It is a different thing altogether that we have systemic failures and failures of Character in people who are charged with the responsibility of implementing the scheme. I would agree that there are better ways to implement schemes meant for our not-so-well-off citizen bretherens and it would be a great day if blogs like these were used to toss good ideas on these type of issues rather than the usual "rome", congress, bjp, hindutva dribble that usually gets written about from people who need to be more upbeat about their country than be a drag and a professional whiner.
Indian politics and society defamed and disintegrated after the entry of of V.P. singh with the support of left. He is the real poison for this pathetic disease of India today.

100% true! The deterioration and putrification started from vp singh"s time with maddened politics. but only god is saving india because of its rich culture and patriotic civilians

Yes, it was only after the entry of VP Singh with the support of the Left that the underprivileged sections hitherto denied power came to taste power. That may look like disease for the upper strata who have been monopolising it without challenge all these years.

No it made the lower class(not caste)to seggregate and are in no position to fight in unity. Underprivileged sections i mean only SC&ST.for them we have constitutional safe guards and protection and they are using the benifit best. (That is good). Only by introducing political, administrative, economical decentralisation through gandhis gramaswaraj or the existing panchayathraj that the underprevileged sections (what you mean also) can taste the power. N.B. a women PM does not mean that women in india can liberate from slavery.
The "Nodding" ex-PM Deve Gowda claims he "threw away" PMship. Some joke, this! Don't people remember it was the Parliament which threw HIM away? Does he think people can still be fooled or their memory is short?

Its not BJP, congress, who is pushing this country to hell , but its someone like deve gowda (louda) and his 3rd rate sons and joined by Monsters like mayavati,LEFT!!!.. This deve gowda is perhaps worst 3rd rate politician india has ever seen since our freedom from british ..There are many worst and cruel politicians in india , but deve Gowda is 3rd rate son of bit** ... He and his sons have looted karnataka and belive his Vokkaliga comunity still support him like mad dogs ...They dont want to support Vokkaliga leaders like S M krishna..High time Vokkaligas must support S M krishna and save their own grace!!! If i have to god pray for karnatak's betterment, I wish God must destroy entire deve gowda Family and save karnataka and India!!!
the trust vote on 22nd will be the waterloo of the left and the dreams of likes of mayawati and other gowdas and naidus. the congress with its principled stand on the nuclear issue will be the winner. we are fed up with the constant stop signals from the left and other PMs in waiting. the intelligent voter is watching everything and is waiting for his time to deliver a lesson or two for all those left and their third front leaders. jai hind

'Principled stand' What it means? PM cheating his own Foreign Minister or allies on whose support he is surviving? The constant stop signals were when MMS deviated from the CMP on whose basis the govt is agreed upon to be run. Let the PM face the 'Intelligent voters' and prove his mettle.
