People are writing bad English on this forum. Pray why? If you are against English then: a) Don't surf the Internet developed by the Americans. b) Put your kids in vernacular schools.

I am not against English but against arrogant English speaking Indians. When a foreign language becomes a standard for these hate-mongers, then it is not acceptable.
Every language is respectable, because it enables human being to interact with others. But when somebody start thinking this language is better than this, then he/she is a intellectual terrorist.

Sweet heart, nobody is against English here! The thing is if u say English is better than Hindi, or my regional language then we wont accept that! And if u say the main quality an Indian PM shud hav is English , then we wont buy that! Trust me, Europeans, (even if they know English, they wud use French/italian/Spanish. still they r Great in u guys eyz, n if our leaders or ppl spk in his/her lang then u guyz start blabbering !! shame yaaar
Gowda is an idiot. He keeps reminding people in all his press statements that he was PM of India(by India's greatest fluke)once upon a time. He is really one of India's greatest tragedies. Why was he born at all ?

Suresh, Never call an Idiot by the name itself, nor criticise an idiot; as it may take more than a lifetime for him to understand the truth.

You van never be a king unless there is a king maker. In India, the rule of game is simple, number and not the quality. It starts from electorates. Unless they are educated, we can't get a good leader. Education for the poor is a distant dream for the povert stricken masses. This is the crux of proble. So the poverty stricken people will elect a leader of their own choice, who woo them at the time of election for a bottle or a goody. Long term thinking is impossible for them coz they don't have money even to eat a sqare meal a day. In turn, the elected reps don't spend on eradiction of poverty coz they are their vote bank. This is the vicious circle. You can't come out of this in India, so long as we have multyplying population. Can't help situation. But still we can give an opportunity to another party and try, instead of getting tired of Cong rule for over 40 years since independance. Mind you , other parties are nothing but EX - Indian National Congress out comes. You and I can sinmply argue this way or other. But Laaloos will rule the country for ever.
Go get a life, urja. There are conflicting positions on this deal and the majority of the country is against it. Are you saying, the majority people in this country are traitors!!!!!
Congress wallas under MMS have become American stooges compromising the independence and well being of so many future generations. You do not want your children to be american slaves, do you, son??????

Anup, if you got a point, make it. Else wait for the elections and its results. The majority of the people are against it is an opinion of yours. In any case we elect our representatives in Parliament and not all of these elected persons can be said to have a long term vision. In fact only nation builders have a long term vision. Energy deficiency is just barely starting to show itself on mankind - leave alone on Indians - and it is going to get worse. But that will start manifesting itself from around 2018 or so. Obviously, people who have an ability to look deep into the future are also in a position - though not necessarily - to take action that would stand the country in good stead in the future. These people are future-creators and for people like you they occur as traitors as did MK Gandhi to Godse or as Galilieo occured to the Church (it is called the Galilieo Syndrome). So maybe it would be prudent to have an open mind on things that have yet to play itself out and will leave various countries in very strange beds!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm waiting for the day this list crosses 1 billion entries - more parties than population :D
I have been closely following all the twists & Turns regarding the N-Deal and following are my observations (which i presume every1 knows and agrees but wont accept due to prejudices).
1. "Surrendering the Soverignity": Every1 knows that when it comes to WAR NO country will be bound by any agreement. India will never go out first to drop a N-Bomb on any country (Correct me if i am Wrong) Then where is the point of "Surrendering the Soverignity"??
2. Gas pipe from IRAN to INDIA: with Afghan/Pakistan in between? How can you be sure that they will not blast it out in a day after u invest BILLIONS on it. Afterall Taliban & ISI are not like India Govts. Great LEFT leaders can you ensure this will never happen?
3. We have invested Billions on N-Plants which r NOT running to their full capacity due to fuel shortage. This Deal will help in using them to optimum and getting us extra power on our own.
1 can still remember the opposition when Sri Manmohan first opened up Indian Economy which later all Govts (whether BJP at center/LEFT in Bengal/Naidu in Andhra) took forward as they knew it was good even when they were opposing then.
Lastly, Please think of a situation where in a gaon-dehat who cannot speak correct english will become the PM and will represent the country in all world forums with HER HINGLISH thanks to dirty politics of LEFT, UNPA & Oppertunists.
I hope&pray that this time also Manmohan comes victorius give BIG SLAP to LEFT, MAYA & Co

Dear Lakshmi When u talk abt an issue, thn try to learn somthing abt it b4 n talk. Du knw wats the real picture abt this nuclear deal? Nuclear power is the most expensive power both before and after the use. To produce 1 megawatt electricity frm nuclear facility it costs 20 crores, where as for hydal pwer ita takes only 8 crores, from wind power its 7 crores, n from thermal power its 11 crores. And i think, u knw that, 80% of Indias energy is from Thermal power,15% from hydal (hydro electric) and the remaing frm wind n so. The so called nuclear power project wud giv us only the 3-5% of total power requirement ! du really know that??? and the worse thing ios that, after 20 years, India will be having lodz of nuclear wastage which will b a real threat to the nation. You mauy plz get in 2 the Nat Geo site for the program "beyond tomorrow" wher you can see the real picture of that. The Australian Govt (the worlds largest producer of Uranium) is investing trillions of dollars for reasearch on how to discard the nuclear power plansts wastages. So u knw it is a looosing game for we, the Indians, n ofcoz a great deal for the fu**ng politicians of the country along with the Business tycoons.

English make people arrogant, village-hater, Western followers and disillusioned from their own country.

There is acute power failure across India and these morons are fighting over votes. India being a superpower is just hype.
Mr. Devegowda should thank his stars that his name is in the list of ex. PMs of India. A person who would sleep during all the important meeting is now saying that he was humiliated by congress! Mr. Devegowda you are yourself humiliation to nation. Your own son doesn't care a shit about you in his quest for power, you have no moral right to complain. Keep your complaint list with you and keep licking it when you won't have even a single MP of your party in next election. When whole nation is talking about nuclear deal, which is so much important to the nation, you are still playing the same horn...I was humiliated, I was humiliated..people like you along with left and Maya should be fed to dogs.
