Looking at this drama, I feel each one of us really needs to ask these questions to ourselves & reply with honesty.
1. Did I go for voting my representive? 2. Did I vote to party or to a candidate looking at his profile? 3. Did I force others who didn't wish to go for voting?
How many so called leaders really think for development of their region & thus country? All I see is everyone wants their pockets full. To hell with the country. Are supporter MP's of deal ready to take responsibility of future of India if deal is wrong? Are opposers of deal ready to be labled as selfish & working for money.. not for development of India if the deal is correct?
After independence India was ruled by single party government for more than 50 years..
The Central government was controlled by North lobby & many states were neglected.. South & west states get some importance only when regional parties became a force at centre.
It is better for a diverse country like us to have a government which got representation from all regions.. We don't need a family rule or Communal rule.
See the results of single party rule for last 50 years..... 65% still under poverty.. 40% illiterate.. 45% unemployment. Caste hatred.. Communal violance... Terrorist activites.. Economic unstability.. degraded health sector,pollusion...etc..etc
List will be endless..
So it is better to have a front consist of regional parties..

Strong regions are the guarantee of a strong centre. In a way, regional parties are good for the country.

Dude, there is nothing called North lobby... what existant is Gandhian lobby...
and sufferings are also in Uttar pardesh, Bihar, Uttranchal, Hariyana... even developen states like Gujarat, Maharastra and Punjab even have problem.. but they raised by getting globalised... so think above victimhood ideology...
we need a STRONG Center in India...history provides ample evidence...whenever India or the idea of India has "prospered"...we have had a strong Center...any politics...machinations...are justified..as long as the Center remains strong! The current trend of each region trying to assert itself is...sad...to say the least...its shortsighted...defeatist...and in the VERY near future lead to our fragmentation...so..chose!! Either BJP or Congress...and chose wisely!!
All the defections including that of Shahid Siddiqui shows it is not UPA but UNPA and NDA that are indulging in the defection game. But Shahid Siddiqui's defection has made the game clearer:
a. The Left's game-plan is to foster Mayawati on the nation b. As the UNPA gains momentum, BJP's prospect of victory shrinks. What follows maybe is mass desertion by regional parties, particularly of NDA towards UNPA c. The deal is being opposed as anti-Muslim
Within these re-alignments taking place, the BJP and NDA may re-consider their vote. Abstentions maybe the order of the game

We are to blame no body but our own-selves for the plight of the country in international arena. All because we have voted for small units / groups ( in different parts of the country), who don't even deserve to be labeled as political parties with significant identity at the national level. Let us resolve that in future we should not vote for such small time groups for the election to the Parliament. Yes we may consider them only for Panchayat elections so that they learn something at the ground level and gain some maturity before blurting out any non-sense on the distinguished floor of Our Parliament if at all given a chance. Such small time groups are only a menace to fate of the future of the Nation. Before going to vote we should ask ourselves whether we are responsible citizens of the country and the person whom we select will be able to take equally responsible decision on our behalf in the Parliament. Well all very well know that BJP is doing just Opposition for the sake of opposition. It is difficult to believe how they are supporting an issue with Muslim orientation. Otherwise had they been there in power then this deal would have been signed at least 3 years back. So in future we should never vote in such a diverse manner that we get a hung Parliament that provides with a KHICHDI Government. Only a strong single party Government can deliver better results...!!!!!
