If the deal means breaking the Arab bondage, then let me tell you something. India's biggest export partner is UAE. If India imports crude from the Middle East, it refines and sell petrol and diesel back to these very countries. Reliance Jamnagar is totally dependent on Middle Eastern crude. Agreed that all your other points are valid. But you see, half the populace is illiterate and the other half is blind. People like Shahid Siddiqui (turncoat) & Deve Gowda (sleeping beauty) will decide the fate of 115 crore Indians. God save us.

h Inder, It seems your analysis is concern only profits we are going to get due to the deal. But if there is more oppertunities which will provide the same benifits at lower cost, don't you go for alternatives?

Sri. Inder Krishen, Good points. I cannot understand why the GoI never thought of briefing the Public and Press on these very same points. A "White Paper" circulated soon after the MMS-Bush meeting signing the 123 Agreement would have been beneficial. May be there has been something. I am an "average" reader of news, and I am not aware of any sustained and relevant information campaign on this crucial step.

Same can be said about Shibu Soren or Deve Gowda or Bal Thackeray or ........ the list is endless. Your argument is futile. Politicians dont have any religion. They only know money.
All these kala-bulee is for the sake of just 10% max of total energy at a total cost of 3 lakh crores of rupees scheduled to be spent in 20 years crippling the financial system of India. The waste disposal and safety against radiation hazard is the biggest problem -technically and financially. Twenty years from now Uranium will be a rare material!! The congress is in for any kind of back-door deal to gain support from anybody in the parliament.
I hope there are some congress men still there who can influence the leadership to change the attitude. It is unpardonable to divide society vertically for the sake of a N-deal -'sign-off' of our sovereignty and freedom. All the good works done by congress will be made opaque by this single act. Let the present congress leaders emulate the old generations of congress leaders who lead freedom movement. At the moment I can only pray to God to give them sense and allow them to think without prejudice and biases.
Why this 'undue haste'?
Let a VIDURA be born in congress to guide them.
Prestige of an individual is nothing when we talk of NATIONAL INTEREST.
All these people are treating muslims as though they cannot think for themselves. Mr. Siddiqui, they can judge you also. You change your stand within three or four days, after cogently arguing for the Deal. They may not accept your claim to represent them. I benefitted from listening to the discussion of this issue by a muslim friend of mine. Muslims are like any other group of Indians. Some support the Deal on their analysis of what they think is good for India and others reject the deal on its usefulness for India. Below in these pages one or two muslim persons have made good comments on the Deal. The division of opinions will be the same within the muslim community as it is within any other in India.
how low will the media stoop down. it seems they are in a competition with the 545 idiots sitting in the parliament. all these media people who conducted a vote on wether muslims support nuclear deal or those politicians who said that, should be arrested and sent to jail for trying to spread communal feelings. can someone please enlighten me as to how the deal affects religion! i don't know wether the deal is good or not( as I don't know all the facts) but the horse trading is making india a laughing stock in the eyes of the world.
