When the opposition brings out a voting motion, its called NO CONFIDENCE MOTION. First brush up your knowledge before shouting at others.
RE:For the country sake now opponents NDA has to support the govt and pass the nuclear deal
by Shobhna Maurya on Jul 18, 2008 06:24 PM Permalink
Advantage::: U tell me... DisAdvantages:::The deal will make us a begger and fully dependent on western powers for our energy needs.
India has done best when it was denied help and cooperation from western powers.... For Example:: 1.Param Super Computer (when super comp was denied) 2. Crayogenic Engine 3. Missiles 3. Technology of nuclear bomb 4.Space Tech etc etc...
Mr. Kalam is for this deal but he is not a nuclear scientist . there are scores of Nuclear Scientist who are dead against this deal.... the reason is because they love india and want India to be self reliant in nuclear field. India has known reserves of Uranium which is sufficient for ant least 50 years. the need of hour is the investment to develop them. also... india has world's 30% of Thorrium reserves and is pioneer in nuclear tech related to thorium (FBRs). Instead of blindly supoorting nuclear deal this rationally and logically. why to become slave again when we have the capacity to RULE THE WORLD. why to waste 200 billion dollers in imporing uranium and building reactors which will stop functioning the moment we test nuclear divises., istead we can be self reliant in nuclear energy in far lesser investment by investing in FBRs, Thorium nuclear energy and developing indeginous uranium mines.
NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to the former Union Minister and chief of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Shibu Soren, and four others in the Shashinath Jha murder case.
Public prosecutor A.K. Singh had pressed for the death sentence. But Additional Sessions Judge B.R. Kedia rejected the submission, saying that "it is not the rarest of rare cases."
Mr. Kedia said: "The convict is sentenced to life imprisonment under Sections 120-B (conspiracy) and 364 (kidnapping) read with 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code ."
Soren would also have to pay a fine of Rs. 5 lakh as compensation — Rs.1lakh to Jha's mother Priyambada Devi, and Rs.2 lakh each to daughters Kavita and Priti.
Compensation sought
The CBI had pleaded for a substantive compensation as the two daughters had only their grandmother to take care of.
The others sentenced to life are Nand Kishore alias Nandu, Ajay Kumar Mehta alias Dilip, Pashupati Nath Mehta alias Posho and Shailendra Bhattacharya.
Seeking the death sentence for Soren, CBI counsel compared his role in the case to that of Mohammed Afzal, who is on death row in the Parliament attack case. Counsel submitted that though Soren was not present on the scene of crime, his role as conspirator was sufficient for him to be awarded the capital punishment.
Counsel for Soren, R.K. Anand, opposed the CBI plea submitting that the case did not meet the Supreme Court guidelines for awarding the death sentence.
what have u got to lose? don't bother abt criticisms from a bullshit janta party like BJP. After all, its doing same thing in karnataka buying MPs out from the opposition and giving them ministerial berths. Also, the so-called idealist Left kept quiet when the horse trading was happening in karnataka. its all personal convenience which makes these parties keep quiet or speak their voice against horse trading depending on the situation. When noone is bathed in milk, whats the harm in bargaining with MPs for taking an important deal like nuke deal forward in the interests of the nation!!!!

Nuclear deal is all about kickbacks and not power. Remember Enron, Dhabol? It was also supposed to give cheap power. Only corrupt politicians and American equipment suppliers gained at the loss of Indian public.

CBI DONE FANTASTIC JOB, BUT COURT NOT DOING HIS DUTTY. IN MY OPINION COURT DOING WORNG. IN THESE SENSE MORE CRIME DOING BY THESE MANISTERS.
People of India deserve this and much more. When you choose and send scoundrels as your representative, you cannot expect honesty from them. Let this be an eye opener to one and all and choose the right candidate atleast from the coming election onwards. Else dont blame the country and its systems. Dont blame the vehicle when it is not running.

Well said, it is not the problem with system. It is the problem with people who vote for any criminals for a piece of chicken and quarter bottle of liquor

Very well said, I also wanted to say the say that Indians are hypocrite...Now I see everywhere ppls are shocked about MP on sale in 25 Cr...I want to ask them, how many of them have not taken any bribe in their life,I dont think that I will get more then 10% ppl in india who are Honest(if they reply honestly),so when u yourself is not honest then you dont have any right to question anybody;s credibility....We say that ALL politicians are corrupt...No some are there who are not corrupt, but they can not become an MP,as they can not give liquor bottles are money during election and thus they can not become an MP...so onus left on us not THEM for this situation... There is one very good proverbs in Hindi that perfectly suits to us Indias "Jab Boa ped babool ka to aam kaha se hoye"....

the proverb in english goes like - as you sow so you reap.
For your information, corruption starts from the common man. He has time to stand in queue to get cinema ticket but has no time to stand at railway booking counter. He has time to wait at the hotel/bar but has no time to stop at traffic signal. His unnecessary wants have increased and to possess it, he looses his morality. Till people realise their misdoings, nothing can get changed.

Democracy is good for a country where voters are educated and i would say democracy is the least suited one for a country like India.

the court must do his duty. law must be made to stop A mp having criminal record to vote and his ministership must be cancelled.
so now its clear how gov is securing majority support for the deal. one simple question is this ethical?? (Lucknow airport has been named 'Charan Sing Airport, or something like that)

If any political party was there in place of UPA, it would have done the same, horse trading, THIS IS TRAJIDY OF INDIAN DEMOCRACY. FOR SOME YEARS WE NEED DECTECTORSHIP
Indian politics is the most corrupted section in India.
And also the most corrupted politics in the world.
Lek in mera Bharat Mahan hein!!! Come out Mahan Indians, play your role and control the poltical system by your hand otherwise India will destroy soon.
I request to atleast change the corresponding constitutional amendement pertaining to horse trading. It should be immediately changed to dogs trading with immediate effect.
it's shame for india that once who got a case of horse trading (both parties) again doing the same .. It's bad for we Indian's we say that we will make corrupt free India but the party who ruled India for as many as 50 years is the Practing the corrupt again
