Nuclear deal - why a dialogue did not happen?
by Madurai Sundaresan SatheeshKumar on Jul 18, 2008 05:03 PM  Permalink

Dear friends,
Though BJP is also opposed to the deal in the present format, they are not totally against it like CPM... The deal got signed during their regime.

They may have some reservations against some options of the deal, which the Cong could have very well taken care of by talking with them or having an all party meeting to remove any misconceptions / negotiate with US to redefine such clauses which are opposed by BJP...

But it does not look like Cong has done such an exercise so far. It did not even had any such discussions with BJP, even though they said will support the deal with some changes...

So, it will be unfair to totally blame the BJP for this situation, wherein even the good aspects of the deal are getting covered under some political calculations.

And, i think many scientists have come out against the deal as well, though Mr.Kalam suppports it.

That means there are different dimensions in which those who know the deal view it.

And, many people just cite APJ's support for the deal, but we can as well take the case of the other eminent scientists who oppose it too...

It would have been better had the Cong took BJP into confidence, so that the mockery thats being staged now for the voting etc, could have been avoided.

Regards.

The experience of IT, auto, textile and services makes us feel that N deal is one such thing that we need in future. We people believe that democracy will bring things for the benefit of people and country. The people are watching what all goes in the process also.

Mr Minhaz Merchant - how much did BJP paid you for this article????
by Vote India on Jul 18, 2008 04:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Yes i say you were bribed to write against Congress - as you didn't put a single positive point of the deal - i guess BJP is now using ppl like you - hope you know when you are writing reports - you should right both sides - if not, then you should stop writing and be favourable to one side.

Better go back to Journalism college again.

You are Moron.

The Article is about the Dangers Involved in Signing the Deal.
Can You prove Such Risks don't exist ?
Prove it. Else, Shut Up.

How are you demanding some one to depict a Positive Side for Your Side as Well ???

If You want Like MMS and Maino, Speak Half Truth and Spell only the Positive Points in Deal and Hide the Negative Side.

Shame on You!

Whether deal is done or not-immaterial, as as per peoples representation, almost 50% of people are in favour and 50% are not in favour. But everyone is seeing the big mafia drama, what are we going to do for it in future? Political reform. no one is talking. accepting all mal practices in democracy.

Try to create Public Opinion against the Deal. If Still, this Govt buys MPs and Signs the Deal, Campaign to VOTE for the Right and Left on a Bigger Scale And Force the Next Govt to Do a N Testing Immediately as they come to Power.

The Deal will Expire Automatically, With out any Investments Done. If Any MOUs done, Cancel Them.

Thats All.

china's support !!
by san df on Jul 18, 2008 03:51 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

china is said to b supportin India to have this nuclear deal. thrz somethin fishy abt this. normally china does not support any deal for India without creating hurdles. may b the deal is bad for us. but what can we as citizens do when our politicians r so irresponsible. no matter whomever u vote, they all r the same. i guess bjp is better coz i feel they handled evrythin well durin their rule. especially conducting a nuclear bomb test and face international pressures frm all whites countries is no joke. we know how these whites diplomats and politicians treat us. as i read somewhr that we hav enough uranium mines in our country to sustain our reactors, i wud like to ask wat congress was doin all these years without havin a proper mining policy.

Congress's Policy is Simple abt Mining and HR.

Don't Create Educational Facilities and Increase Quotas. SO that, The Cream of Indian Intellect Migrates to the West and Serves their Economy.

Don't Mine any Minerals in India and keep Importing All. Keep India always in a Balance of Payments Crisis.
One Day, Declare India is Bankrupt and We need to Liberalise. Thus, Sell Off All our Mines to the Western Capitalists at Dead cheap Prices. Later there will be Inflation And Indians have to Buy their own Material at Exorbitant Prices.

The True Quantity of OIL, GAS, Uranium and Thorium reserves Along our Southern Sea Coast are being Kept a Secret for the last 30/40 yrs.

Con-Gress is Opposite of Pro-gress.
