Somnath Chaterjee is not a great politician nor good parliamentarian as everybody believe. Lets us not forget that he fought for Saurav Ganguli’s inclusion into the Indian team even a Lalloo Prasad will not do. He also got a dig from Chappel, the ex-Indian coach, to matter his own business in Parliament rather than interfering with Indian Cricket selection policies for which “Somnath the Great” cried. He is the most partisan speaker to have adorned the post and a cheapest politician.
All these kala-bulee is for the sake of just 10% max of total energy at a total cost of 3 lakh crores of rupees scheduled to be spent in 20 years crippling the financial system of India. The waste disposal and safety against radiation hazard is the biggest problem -technically and financially. Twenty years from now Uranium will be a rare material!! The congress is in for any kind of back-door deal to gain support from anybody in the parliament.
I hope there are some congress men still there who can influence the leadership to change the attitude. It is unpardonable to divide society vertically for the sake of a N-deal -'sign-off' of our sovereignty and freedom. All the good works done by congress will be made opaque by this single act. Let the present congress leaders emulate the old generations of congress leaders who lead freedom movement. At the moment I can only pray to God to give them sense and allow them to think without prejudice and biases.
Why this 'undue haste'?
Let a VIDURA be born in congress to guide them.
Prestige of an individual is nothing when we talk of NATIONAL INTEREST.

While it is correct to assume that Congress stands to lose regardless of the outcome of the trust vote, how the BJP or the NDA stands to gain; is beyond comprehension. Since everything is being evaluated in terms of the electoral benefits, BJP or NDA CANNOT form the Government at the Center unless BJP wins at least 30 seats in U.P., and this is just not going to happen. Hardly one person in a million feels the need to understand the implications of the N-Deal, and hardly one in one million such people would cast their votes. So as far as the election results are concerned, the fate of the N-Deal does not matter. The only person to gain in this scenario is Bahenji. She can snatch a siezable portion of Muslim votes from Mulayam, to be able to become the King or Quee-nmaker in 6 months, and to be the queen herself after another one year.

If Congress & Mulayam have a alliance in U.P they will get more votes in U.P then Maywati.

No, they will not. Votes seldom add arithmetically. Muslims are waiting to shift their loyalty to BSP. If SP and Congress do not ally, Bahenji is quite strong. If they ally, Bahenji will come out stronger.

TVR - your jourlnism shuks big time. Its based on half baked truts, conviniently ignoring fact and using them conviniently, biased and not really giving balanced view on any thing but subscribing to your party ideology. Can you name any single govt. in India which did not have criminals and/or tainted MPs? If you can not name this better stop writting crap and brain washing readers with your propoganda. I dont why Rediff..publishes article from idiots like you.
