Vote For The Right Party in the Upcoming Elections!
by Manu Nair on Jul 17, 2008 10:06 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If BJP wins in the upcoming elections,it won't be able to last its full term of 5 years as already seen in Karnataka & in the city of Bangalore. The shortage of water supply, frequent load shedding, the Metro Rail (unnecessary burden on the city),the traffic jams, the poor traffic managment, the CVS,Sakrama and the shortage of availability of fertilizers are the problems of the people which is quite not manageable by the BJP.The citizens should keep these in mind & keep their eyes wide open while voting! In the process the Samajwadi Party would gain a lot in the bargain.

Majority is a matter of one night, everything changes in 24 hours, that's the country we are living in, corrupted politicians without character. If Congress has the guts it should face election making the deal an issue but they are also buying MPs. They are the worst of the lot. Just trying to divert people's mind from the inflation and overall failure to this deal. Shame on you Congressites.

Its not a question of Dalit or Lalit, it is a question of qualification. He should be more of an intellectual, wise and knowledgeable person, than a socalled day-to-day politician.

As with the India Shining debacle they still believe they will come back to power at the centre. They misled us once with the RAM propoganda it wont work anymore they were new and ppl gave them a chance but soon they were found out .A party which works for the minority interest (brahmins and baniyas) cant rule the majority. Its either mayawati or Dr Manmohan Singh next time.

UPA and nuclear dilemma
by SreenivasaRao Ketepalle on Jul 17, 2008 09:32 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

How could nuclear deal be incorporated in the CMP when it came up later. Does it mean that issues cannot be and should not be handled as they emerge? And dont they come up in between? Where's the new energy coming from?
It may supply 3% as of now, but can go up later. The issues are whether it is safe form of energy production after Chernobyl, whether India's interests are compromised and if so in what form? How else can India achieve growth and when will we eradicate unemployment? And look at the Naxal movement.

RE:UPA and nuclear dilemma
by Hebbar R on Jul 17, 2008 09:46 PM  Permalink
Any new issue, which is not a part of the CMP, could be brought in.But, then the Govt should take its supporters into confidence, have discussions and then implement it. But, in the case of this Nuclear Deal, the Congress just tried to hoodwink their own supporters. They did not show the Draft Text of the Agreement to their own supporters (leave alone the Country). Finally, they published the text net only after somebody posted the same on the net in the US.

There is no answer from the supporters of the deal (in the Govt) for a few simple questions. What happens if India tests a Nuclear Device from its own material? What are the consequences? What happens to the lakhs of crores (of Tax payers money) invested in this deal?

if the issue were "nuke deal with Iran or gas deal with Iran", the Left would have no problem to include it in the Common Minimum Program. The only problem is that the deal is with the USA. Thats why the Left dogs are barking. And the scavengers, the BJP, is there already, waiting for the moment, so that they can enjoy the rest.

BJP is a party with expertise in sectarian politics. It is a gang of opportunist guys who jump into bandwagon of BJP to make big in life. Core of BJP is RSS, which consist of out and out communal elements who are professionally hoarders, adulators, blackmateteers and bribe taking babus.

What did BJP do during their 5 years?? Can you just point one?? The economic reform (and subsequent growth of our country) was initiated by Mr Manmohan Singh during Rao's govt..

Even the promises, BJP made before election, were not kept. They said, it was because of the coalition dharma. That means, in future, since we are likely to get coalition governments, BJP will never keep their promises, if it comes to power!

NDA started all those great projects, connecting major rivers, golden quadrilateral, removing subsidies. In a country like India where illiteracy and corruption is at it's best, only party like Congress can survive because iron cuts an iron. Those project are now gone out of agenda. At least NDA lasted for 5 years with a coalition before election. Congress coalition is totally opportunistic because it was formed after election by some opportunistic parties. When your motto is dirty, nothing can succeed. Who were there coalition Communists, a failed theory in the world. Shame on you Congress. In India BJP ruled states are doing good and that's the fact, see it yourself you blind.

What did congress do for 50 years Vs. what did NDA do for 5 years. It seems like a little unfair to me.
OK let us see what the NDA did
1. Pokhran test and subsequent establishment of India as nuclear power.
2. Development of infrastruce left in a complete mess by 50 years of congress misrule. I believe just 1 Km of road was laid every day during the congress rule versus 15 or so per day during NDA
3. Most important, NDA proved that a non-congress dispensation can actually provide good and stable governance for the whole term.
4. A gem of prime minister like Vajpayee.

On the other hand, what qualifications Nehru-Gandhi family have for continuing to treat India like family property, other than that they are Nehru-Gandhi family?

Fresh Election is the only solution
by Bharat Kr on Jul 17, 2008 09:22 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Fresh Election is the only solution before the nation. Let the people of Bharat decide, who should rule them, govern them and not misrule them, mal-govern them. People has seen what Congress-led alliance can do for them, today inflation rose to 11.91%, sky-rocekting price rise, lakhs of farmers suicides, agriculture crisis, increasing Jihadi and naxalite terror attacks and list goes on. The blunder people did in 2004 by voting out a stable and performing govt, need to correct now. It is our honest belive, only NDA can provide a stable, secure and development-oriented govt.

No matter who rules - It makes no difference. Do you think these politicians are interested in our country? They will continue to tax the people so that they can pocket most of our money. Do you know that you are paying 20% to 30% taxes (state) on one litre of petrol. See how much revenue that makes for the states? - and yet see the condition of our roads? It is more than 60 years since our Independence, and yet we lack power supply, lack in proper infrastructure. We are taxed even on the loaf of bread we eat and yet we don't even see 50% of money collected through taxes used for the development of our country. Where all the money goes? It's all eaten up by these politicians. We are one of the most corrupt nations of the world. If the people of India unitedly do something - then this sorry state will continue for ever.
