by bk sharma on Jul 18, 2008 09:39 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

yes, i feel very strongly about neclear deal that it is good for the country. all points raised by left and opposition r bogus and false. u will be astonished to hear that the types of romours that have been spread among the rural masses. it is said that u all will die of cancer. u all will have no jobs. poor villagers have very little to gather the facts. now coming to the point of NDA not going to form govt. infact elections is the best option in present circumstances for everybody. let there be elections and only true reprentatives of people come and form the govt

NDA

Hello guys:

The most important point is that BJP did well during its regime unlike Congress. And also, Nuclear Deal does not allow for manufacturing of weapons with that technology.

BJP had intended to use it for weapons manufacturing. But America being a smart watchdog moved this deal into a civilian deal thereby putting it like putting a bone in front of our hungry politician dogs who messed and fought and did everything possible. Unfortunately, the pseudosecular cowards want to appease all the minorities.

I cannot even understand what an ordinary Muslim who "supposedly opposed" did know about it?

POTA was a very good anti-terror law brought down first thing by Congress to appease the minorities. Congress diverted TTD (Tirupati funds) to build a church. The problem was not with diversion of funds but misappropriate handling of it.

Also, Ram Setu disaster, in which many allies of Congress questioned the integrity of Hindus. Forget that project, but questioning Ram is questioning integrity of Hinduism. Don't want to be posing as a Hindu hardliner nor a provocator for BJP, but BJP posed a better regime.

At least, there were not so many bomb blasts all over India unlike during Congress regime.

This is to be blamed on withdrawal of POTA law.

Let us not be hardliners but let us not be appeasers also for minorities.

If Congress continues for another year, I am sure any person chanting Hey Ram would be a terrorist.

Congress, better be dead than bei

NDA will not form government if UPA falls, says Naidu.
by MADAN KAPOOR on Jul 18, 2008 06:27 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Not that it won't form Govt but it Can't. To form Govt NDA would require Communists support. Karat-Bardan combine's vote is against Nuclear Deal and not in favour of the BJP.

Having said that I say the future generations shall not forgive those voting against the Govt seeking confidence vote on 'Nuclear Deal' issue. NDA is out of its wits not seeing the reason. Dr Kalam who was NDA's choice for the President post has endorsed the Deal. Those who are well read also say India cannot do without the Nuclear Deal. Atomic Energy Commission chief Dr Kakodkar too says India cannot do without the Deal as san deal we would lag behind in power generation which would be a retrograde step in India's march towards becoming world economic powersays. San the Deal India would require to import 1.9 billion tons of coal by 2050 - which would require collosal sum. Interestingly it was the BJP only that initiated the Nuclear Deal. Now BJP has gone sane going against it just to defeat the Govt in power. The fact is that BJP cannot consume the idea of Congress taking laurels for the Deal initiated by it. A referendum on Nuclear Deal will clearly be in its favour than against it.

In as far as CPI-CPM combine is concerned they are in any case non-progressive. In their case it is more of Karat-Bardan's ego that is coming its way. Many progressive communists amongst them would favour the Deal. I won't be surprised if some communists too vote in favour of the Deal.

Mr.Kapoor, dont u know about Indian politics? anything can happen at any time. also, many atomic energy scholars give comments differently and we can't take Dr.Kakodkar's comment as he is still in the govt service and he cant comment against govt policy decision.

Even in govt service, Dr Kakodkar is many of high repute. Dont expect him and Kalam to toe government line for the sake of it.

Kakodkar is jewel of Maharashtra

If the govt wins the trust vote, it is going to be bash on Karat's ego.If the govt fails, then govt fails then CPM forms alternative govt without MMS. This also a possiblity so that both the sides have a win-win situation.
But anyhow, this N-deal is going to happen.

sir, total amount of uranium is going to last not more than next 30 years at present consumption rate.our country is the holder of only 0.8 percent uranium.thorium is the next generation energy source.very little reasrch and development has been done in this field.as per information, our country is well advanced in this field in compare to other nations.other countries also started reserch but in the mean time they wanted to stop our own work and sell their uranium and reactors so that they get capital for their own thorium projects.our politicians are intrested to earn commission.latest example is arjun tank tecnical rejection by army.our scientist community is not eager compared to politicians and bearocrates.why not we involve in our indigeneous research and say goodby to others

Congress to dud ka dula hua hai. bhai

The reason behind India degrowth and high inflation is congress politics. Its business minded party and does not think for a common man. Why Dwarka issue is hanging for past 4 months because Union Urban Ministry has gone for support for private builders of Gurgaon

Previously BJP was a very good party and the other polical parties know what the BJP's line of thinking was. But due to the political things happened after 1996, BJP changed his colour according to the present political arrangement and now the other parties feel that BJP is wise.
In politics, if you loose an oppurtunity, you are a fool. Vajpayee faces no confidence motion after he got the successufl pak trip.
Sonia said she had 272 MPs.
If congress is looking after national interest they could have supported Abdul kalam instead of the present president who is more superior and need of the hour. They wanted a rubber stamp and who has lot of cases and not a great things behind her. Even though they supported for their own selfish goals.
Noone behaves like a saint in politics otherwise the situation takes the control. We dont have any control over any activitity except keeping our own judgements on them.

NDA cannot form the governent!
by Sanjay Chawala on Jul 18, 2008 06:08 AM  Permalink

This statement by Naidu has no importance. To form the govt, NDA will need support from left and/or Samajwaadi party which is not going to happen. So, Mr. Naidu, you don't have any choice. Go and show-off somewhere else.

Indian (pseudo)secularism.
by Aditya Krishnan on Jul 18, 2008 06:00 AM  Permalink

the left and BSP have declared the deal to be Anti-Muslim. The ludicrous notion apart, even if it was so, one cannot appreciate how a minority of 12% could hold the national interest of an entire country to ransom. Another instance of what I would call the perverted anti-national face of Indian (pseudo)secularism.
