My take!
by time pass on Jul 17, 2008 05:04 PM  Permalink

I remember, when congress wanted to bring up computerization in the earlier days, left parties were dead against the move thinking that it will reduce lot of employment opportunities. Today's software jobs in India proved that it was a wrong cry made by them. Again, it will be repeated in the energy case.

Commie ... We know all your high handed , so called knowledge. When computers where introduced in India you people made the same fuss ... Had congress government at that time heeded to your calls ... You yourself wouldnt have typed the above comments and rather would do boot polishing for you commie masters from the neighbour hood. Now you people have the next plan of leaving us, our children and future industrialisation without electricity so that your original foreign commies can easily take over the country !!! Just day dream people ... We shall move ahead with the deal to prosperity...

Dear Mohan, OK. Let us forget US. Tell us which other country can offer assitance for building nuclear power plants in India ? Who is going to give us fuel? Australia was willing to give, but when the nuke deal was in problem they expressed unwillingness. Now we can also forget about nuclear power plants and consider alternative options for generation of power if something exists. We have fierce scarcity of power and it is going to increase day by day. As far as I know CPM is only objecting the deal, but they have to give alternative options. If we go back from the deal, who else can give us support ? Let them clarify.

Dear Sahadevan, I am not a blind supporter of any of the parties. Still I would say that CPM is not a party loving the Country as they pretend to be and their admiration is for Countires like China. However China is not going to do any support for India to produce nuclear energy. In a CPM ruled State like Kerala one has to wait for allmost an year to get a new connection in a flat and power shortage is a big concern for the whole country. Millions of Indians are residing in US most of them with the previlages of US Citizen and depsite all negatives brought up against that Country, US is a better freind for us than China. Further, other than US, who else CPM can suggest to give India the support for installing nuclear power plants. Let us not forget the fact that only if this deal is signed Indian can get nucelar fuel from other countires as well viz; Australia. So let us be practical and do oppose each and every thing for the sake of doing it.

karat vs. US

nuke deal with US will make us subservient to US but when China claims Arunachal and parts of Sikkim, the leftist stay mum when such utterances are direct attack on our sovereignity. Aren't they subservient to China more than India. We should question their patriotrism.

There is nothing to question them about it, all commies are traitors. they toe china line all the time, whether during the 1962 china war or the recent chinese incursions. They want India to support iran when that country has never even once supported India over kashmir in the OIC. They want India to ditch Israel even though our armed forces benefit from there hi-tech hardware...lastly they want to color the n-deal saying its anti-muslim even though that deal has nothing to do with muslims or any religion....and in the end call themselves as secularists!!

Our democratic system is a number game and based on vote bank politics, national issues have no meaning for politicians. They can be together for common cause.

If it is the case what will you do..?? Suck your thumb..my dear leftist...???? Or are u building castles in the air that so called non-existing third front will come to power and have your say in everything and put India into total Communism...??? What a logic you People have..??? It is nothing but self destruction my dear Sahadevan.

Left is vigilant to sell India to China. No comments when they attacked India in 1962. No comments when Arunachal was claimed. Sahadevan read history before showing maimed human bodies inflicted by Marxists in Kannur as RSS's doing.

Left voting with BJP
by Anil Kulkarni on Jul 17, 2008 04:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I am surprised to see this contraversy. Where is the question of left voting with BJP. They are not acting in concert! Why should someone think that they are voting together? Even their goals are not the same. Left is not against congress but against Manmohan Singh whereas BJP is opposition party. Left has indicated that they may support after elections if Manmohan is not PM, this is not the case with BJP. One cannot imagine them backing Congress otherwise the fate of this country would have been someting different.

This Karat is a carrot.
What is he talking about being sub-servient to U.S. When we availed facilities fron USSR, were we sub-servient to any body then. I am anti-U.S. but that does'nt stop me from doing trade with them.
Tomarrow carrot will say we must not use Windows, as that will make us sub-servient to Microsoft, which is a U.S company.
This Karat & company are real crap. Let him stand & win an election & then talk about democracy.

Left does not want India to be a friend of US and BJP or more appropriately Advani finds it as a golden opportunity to be in power. Only Congress has stuck their neck out by sticking to their conviction and risking loss of power.
