RE:Sonia Italian Born Lady and citizen require
by D S on Jul 17, 2008 03:51 PM  Permalink

the MP/MLA system is bad because those NOT elected by PEOPLE of India control it. But far worse is that those the people of india don't want to be PM decide who should be the PM.

DO PEOPLE HAVE BRAINS TO FIX IT? Nope. We cannot have rising like we have in NEPAL.

As long you have this ROTTEN system of MP/MLA ticket distribution by dynasty and their cartel, these rascals will NOT be out of power for long and then will come back by using some opposing rant such as sickularism or something else.

Better way is to have direct election of PM and CM such that this MP/MLA ticket distribution racket is eliminated.

Let me think what will be the use of these MLA and MPs when PM and CM are elected by people and people vote determines what happens to nuke deal.

destination

The point here is unless the BJP MPs board the train, it will not move. So even the left is depending on BJP to reach the destination

Why the CPM doesn't mind voting with the BJP
by sundararajan Rajeshkumar on Jul 17, 2008 03:49 PM  Permalink

Prakash Karat,Bardan and all other Left leaders have lost there balance. Left seeks to defeat the UPA in the trust vote along with BJP.This is a cruel joke. When election comes these leaders will regret for their actions. They will not win half the seats they now have.If BJP wins they will surrender the country for still more stringent conditions by America after all they are party that negotiated with America for strategic co-operation.We request LEFT PARTIES to make such noises regarding the Indian territory occupied by CHINA for more than 45 years.

A non-issue
by venkappa Bhat on Jul 17, 2008 03:48 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In a world having no barriers/boundaries, CPM should have understood the nuclear issue as a non-issue to common man in a better way than mere vote bank politics of BJP, I feel. Still Ideologically CPM stands a firm ground for sure.

Come on Bongs !
by Chatt on Jul 17, 2008 03:47 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Hey Bongs ..come on ! How can u see urselves being dictated by a fellow who doesnt have any roots, who cant even win a municipal election, leave aside being an MP. How can he direct an eminent intellectual Like Mr. Somenath Chatterjee on what he should do?
Though Bengal has provided most no. of MPs they dont have any say in the CPM central committee...
Kudos to Subhash Chakraborty, he has at lest shown the guts to express his feelings...
The Bengal whom even the British couldnt dominate ...how they are tolerating these baseless parasites of Indian politics?
Come on Mr. Bhattacharya it is high time now for u and ur fellow comrades to take the lead in politburo and throw those parasites out ....

People like Mr. Karat is not bothered about another election, coz he never has to fight them, he will be always in a comfortable position .... he talks of common man...doesnt he understand the financial burden a mid term election can bring on the ailing Indian economy?

Trust Vote vis-a-vis Vote for N-Deal
by Vijay Desai on Jul 17, 2008 03:47 PM  Permalink

If it is trust vote than BJP should remain absent and if it is vote for n-deal as Left is putting up then BJP should vote in favour of n-deal. Both this option will show leftist their correct status that majority people of India represented by Congress / BJP / SP etc. are totally against anti-national left parties.

NOT JOINING HANDS WITH THE BJP! IT'S VOTING AGAINST TRUST VOTE OF THE ANTI-PEOPLE UPA GOVT.!
by unni pillai on Jul 17, 2008 03:47 PM  Permalink

CPI(M)is just voting against the confidence motion moved by the Manmohan Govt. It is part of a broad alignment of struggle against US imperialism world over! CPM is not mooting any electoral alliance with BJP at all. Manmohan government should be punished for its anti-people misdeeds, vis a vis Indo-US nuclear deal!
No UPA govt. could hang on power with the support of patriotic communist comrades! Also the history will prove the political opportunism and parliamentary temptations and lust of Somnath Chatterjee! He is once again proved to be a REVISIONIST!
Long Live Left Unity! Long Live CPIM

RE:CPM is against the Nuclear Bill. Its MPs are voting against the anti-national deal. No CPM MP will get down if any other BJP MPs are travelling in the same train.
by devdass on Jul 17, 2008 03:50 PM  Permalink
Sudden wisdom. It is the BJP mp who should get down from the train if an antinational Commie is travelling along!

But, people elected these MPs are not against this deal. Do CPM MPs dare to seek for the response from their constituencies?
