I think some vested interest foreign powers are playing throwgh entire oppositions to scuttle the National interest of future development of India .All Indians should know the fact and awake .It will be a national shame for the entire public of India during next election for parties who does not want India to develop. It is also a strange about BJP who once voted for land mark bill of economic liberisation initiated by Dr .MMS and late PM PVN in 1991 for a great leap forward in economic development with in 17 years with graet leadership of Atal Behari Bajpai and the same party is alligning with most deadliest of left facist parties for not doing further development but this time Bajpai is not in the picture on the hands of present leadership of BJP .
There is nothing wrong if CPI(M) vote along with the BJP. They did that before. in 1977 Morarji Desai government has survived because the LEFT was supporting it from outside, when Vajpayee was the foreign minister.
This is a national issue: (a) whether India would retain nuclear weapons to give up to satisfy American demand; (b) whether India will retain an independent foreign policy or it will be reduced to Thailand or Kenya.
India gains nothing from this 123 Dances; American Energy companies will gain. Just like ENRON , they will come to India to offer their junk nuclear plant at a high cost and just like ENRON they will run away without producing anything or just like UNION CARBIDE kill several thousands people.
The Strategy of the LEFT: LEFT want The Congress to be defeated. After that The Congress will discard MM Singh and call for a new election. After the election LEFT will again support The Congress without MM Singh. Most Congress leaders are against MM Singh; they will be happy to see him go after his humiliation. That is what also CPI(M) wants.

Hey, left are more concerned with nuclear deal then the price raise and other issues. They are adamant idiotic nothing more. If the government proposed the same kind of deal with China, you may lick the chinese boot and do anything to support it. Stop this non-sense. Whether we are going get any benefit out of this deal, but defintely we are not going to lose anything.
When people are against the some idiotic industrialization in west bengal, then with your party worker you will kill the people. But if this happened same thing in other state, you will show as you are for poor people. Left are supporting all kind american business in bengal and kerala. But you are acting as you are against america.
Stop this non-sense. People can understand what is good what is bad. Concentrate on core issue price raise, inflation, poor lossing their life/land by idiotic industrialization policy etc. There are so many other issues are their.
Of course left will go with BJP no doubt about it, because they do not have any vision. They are still living in stone age and not mentaly metured. I strongly ask them to have MENTOSE 'dimag ki bati jalane keliya'.
The Congress derailed I.K.Gujaral's govt. on the charges that it garnered the support of DMK, the party suspected to have underhand dealings with LTTE; the killer of Rajiv Gandhi. Why then, the same Congress doesn't feel little ashamed to ask the same DMK (DMK was also playing opportunistic part in NDA) form UPA just to keep BJP away from power? Is this issue is more important than the assasination of the former PM?

Execellent question, Prabhu! The DMK will go with asses if they have to, as long as Mr.Karunanidhi gets jobs for his clan (look, his daughter is already an MP) and his party sychopants. Even though Judge Jain's commission squarely put the blame on Karunanidhi and DMK for the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia is hugging DMK, just to stay in power.

A very good one, Sam! Yeah, it is ok to be slaves of the Chinese who have stabbed us in the past and still holding on to India's territory. I am appalled to see Indians voting for this unpatriotic communists!
I feel that the democratic process,in respect of nuclear deal ,should be tested at ground level, since most of the parties are not in a position to grasp the implications of the deal.we should call the verdict from the people directly by holding the elections. it is most vital issue, and i feel that people should be consulted on this single issue. We have been dominated by foreign powers for many years. Our politicians have also less integrity thse days. All parties are making money by fooling the people these days.I understand that to back the confidence motion congress is paying Rs.25 crs to each MP, and if this our plight, why not approach people directly to get the true verdict.?Now we are going to reach stalemate, and our PM's prestige is at stake. If we do not want him to be let down, the present government should resign, and call immediate election. Many people will say what is the guarantee that we will get the clear verdict.?In case we do not get it.In that case we should impose President's rule.Lady is wise. She will appoint a committee of experts and they should be asked to make the decision on nuclear deal issue. I agree, Dr. Bhuleshkar. Let the people decide. Is there such a thing called "Public referendum" in India? Also, they should publish the names of all those MPs who are taking money to vote and make sure they will never get re-elected. This will also send a message to all the politicians.
The formation 7 more IITs have been approved. But the list does not include Kerala. On the other hand UP now has two IIT (Kanpur, Banaras). What has gone wrong with the case of Shivpur and Jadavpur? Is it an act to punish the leftist ruled states for not supporting the Nuclear Deal? I may be just kidding.......:)

Once we sign this deal, we don't need any other fuel. We will be self-reliant. Who cares if the oil hits even $1000 a barrel. The cars will run on nuclear chips too. You decided to say anything to oppose BJP then why put some limit to the nonsense? (I do support the nuke deal)
The mess of nuclear deal was/is clearly avoidable. Here are a few things to remember- 1. Even if nuclear deal goes through, not a sinlge MW of power is going to be produced by new nuclear plants for the next 10 years. Most likely, zero power would be added. 2. Solving energy problems with Nulcear plants is a myth. It is not going to happen otherwise by this time, USA would have erected many plants and solved their own energy porblems. No new plant has come up in USA in the last 30 years and none will be built for the foreseeable future. 2. India and US are all already cooperating on many issues where the goals are common. This nuclear deal creates doubts in a vast majority of Indians about American intent. This will weaken the cooperation. 4. After the nuclear deal is signed all the problems that India faces would be blamed on USA. This defeats the very purpose of the India-US deal. 5. Bush government is dysfunctional. America is sitting on a precipice and can go USSR way. Trillions of dollars of debt is unpaid and hundreds of banks are going to be bankrup soon. 6. Indian financial system is no better. Stock market has turned into a casino since the foreign institutional investors have been allowed to short the stocks. If this continues for a few more weeks, the stock market could crash big time--say hello sensex 4000. If I had money in the Indian market, I would be very afraid and pull all my money out and buy some gold and agriculture land.

Lot of obsolete information 1. With current modular design, plants are taking 4-6 years from pouring of concrete to going critical 2. France has about 75% nuclear and Japan has 40% generated by Nuclear. UK is now considering more Nuclear plants. So obviously it is not a myth. 3-6. Maybe but no reasons to not go in for Nuclear Energy.
