Deal or No deal, What Congress is doing to democratic process?
by bnyalamalli on Jul 17, 2008 03:12 PM  Permalink

See IAEA ( in fact Mr. Bush)is in a hurry to close the Deal. And MMS govt is taking instructions from them and not from Parliament or Indians.See how many times MMS & Co. has confirmed that they will go to IAEA only after getting the trust vote.First they circulated DRAFT saying "only this please,it is just going thro' the motions;"And now this step.
First they harrassed BSP for a lst minute anti climax, if BSP votes are required at the 11th hour.
Secondly harrassed the potential sponsors (to invest in horse trading)like Mukesh Ambani,Airtel chief.Congress says that MMS is an honourable man.He will not meddle into all this.Yes, agreed. But his office and his party will indulge into all this. IS IT NOT CRYSTAL CLEAR?

All those opposing the Nuclear deal, have no idea of the deal.. They are just blindly following the leaders, for whome ideologies are important than nation. This is a CIVILIAN NUCLEAR deal, reactors under the safeguards ONLY will be under external inspections. These are the reactors that we will give us power.
If you want to then you want to you can make bombs too.., the ones not under the safe guard can be used for military purposes.. No one can stop Us...Phew...
Please for gods sake... sink this into all our heads...God Save India

hi sir with great respects to you do you think if we make bombs in other reactors which is not under safe guards your deal will stand still. you build massive infrastructure thinking you will be getting supplies and one bomb you make to protect urself all your supplies would stop and you cant do anything that time .that will put enormous pressure on us not to carry forward out stratergic millitary programe

My Clown. Good afternoon.

You say "here do you think you are going to get the nuclear material to run the Military reactors from?"

Elementary my clown

- we are covertly diverting enriched uranium from the reactors that eventually comes under IAEA inspection. This is probably one reason why reactors are also operating below capacity.

Second, though we have not a large reserve of uranium, it is sufficient to feed our militrary program. In fact the deal frees up our limited uranium to be exclusively used for our military program since all civilian reactors will depend on imported fuel. This actually gives a fillip to our military program

Nuclear Deal

Everyone here is barking up the wrong tree.

GIve credit to the USA NRIs who were instrumental in moving this deal in INdia's favour and pushing it through the US Senate.

That's what the gullible think... :)

They think it's Manmohan who is making the deal work.... whereas they forget that it was after he met Bush in Japan that his commitment about trust vote suddenly took the back seat and IAEA safeguards agreement leapfrogged all other priorities....

Some campers think that it was the NRIs in US who made that happen... ;-) as if they could.. . ;-)

Deal us Excellent
by praful nikam on Jul 17, 2008 01:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

As per Histroy of LEFT all over the world and in INDIA if LEFT is opposing this deal then deal must be excellent. Otherwise note down my words if Deal goes on then after few years LEFT will except there mistake in future (Done in case of not supporting congress in 1999 against BJP joyti Basu excepted in 2005 that was a historical mistake of LEFT).
Also where things done as per left view how things ruin and there is no left to appoligy also take lot of country exam Russia excepted that, China already side line the LEFT thinking.
In INDIA west Bengal a great state in last 25 yrs is become economically waste state.
If today Maya and all this with left and no deal then after 10 yrs we come to know that what mistaek left done and we supported it.
Its simple want growth or want excusses(self R&D,futurte fear and blablabla.........).
My oppose is not to self R&D but rather than waste time on finding what already available and getting, better get technology and go ahead with modern R&D..........

Yeah.... if Kargil is Crime Management, we have had the lessons in 1962, 1965 and 1971..

if Godhra is crime management, we've undergone those lessons in 1947, in 1957 (Ramnad), in 1984, in 2006 (Aligarh), in 2006 (Maharashtra), in 2006 (Navi Mumbai Holi) and tons of Ganesh festival riots across the country...

:)

Good that you have only 2 on the list so far as BJP is concerned. They do seem to work much better than Congress ever has, innit?.. ;-)

So what u think kargil is created by BJP and Godhra also......
Kargil is created by Pakistan by breaking international border rules(If ur not blind then its a clear truth read mr Nawaz Sharif interview) which we win because of our bravey army its a golden achivement in India History.
Godhra:- meet some local people from godhra or go to meet that girl whose family burnt in that train and she luckly survived. also see case hearings u will find who all are involved in that. dont blame blindly for any thing..

i am surprised people talking about kargil negatively boss India won the battle in kargil it was an aggression by the opponent and we successfully staged a fight to protect ourself if you talk godhra i dont justify the actions of both the goverment at place that time but that doesnt mean they were wrong too who started it. you dont know mate the politics behind everything do you ther was an issue in bangalore recently if it would have happened before elections even i like you would have thought it was BJP behind that but they have won the elections and ruling here peacefully but some people tried to create a religious divide by doing it ... whom to blame(u think)

I like this deal and support this govt.
But the mistake is with the govt not taking BJP on board or even they didn't do any coutesy to talk to BJP. Sonia did that becuase of her ego.
If she had confidence in taking this without BJP, let her be. Who resists and they had numbers. Now this is their problem taking their allies confidence on this. Why you are blaming BJP.

Note that this is not the no confidence motion by BJP against this govt on Nuke deal and congress is taking this confidence motion.
As a principle opposition party, they have to vote against this govt.
Please note that except this, what this govt acheived inthe past 4 and 1/2 year.
1) Ram is not existing
2) shoudhagar slogan aginst Modi.
3) Bihar,Jharkand,Goa Governers mismanagement
4) President elections
5) For to withdraw my money from my ac I have to pay tax.
6) New concept called service tax.
They have binded with secularism. Who bothers this. Let secular parties vote them if they feel, it is.
This is the worst govt and there is no vision at all.
Claiming that it is ruled by the great economist and FM is the one of the great modern FM and with this, Aluwalia.
Have they controlled any price rise.
They justified as "international crude oil drives this".
Please clarify with China and Japan's inflation, ours is hugh.
I don't want any answers from anyone.
Please do think do we need this.

Anyway N-deal is going to happen whether the govt is in or out as they have already done with ground wor

We dont want nuke deal as it binds us to act with responsibility. We want a clause in the agreement where we are allowed to have irresponbile behaviour. We should be allowed to have AQ khan type labs. We shall be allowed to proliferate and blackmail other nations. We shall be allowed to test nuke bombs at any time... We dont want energy. We want to do lot of crazy things with nukes... This deal is not good...

Nuke deal is not binding us to act with responsiblity. It is binding us not to act at all.

There is this subtle difference. But obviously US believes that India is full of AQ Khan types, and you are seconding that opinion by concurring with the US version.

Moreover had this govt. been serious abt. this deal they would have initiated this process a long back but at that time were busy taking care of themselves. You are right mate its more politics see if india goes to election now UPA will get defeated badly because of their economic policies. So they anted to shift the focus of the people so thats it .they dont have any issue if they are serious they should have done it long before because they knew that left will not support this any day. so now if u look all the other wrong policies of this government is gone to backseat they are trying to protect themselves and not india by this deal people dont get cheated let them first come clean on policies . the two main policies of this goverment was till yesterday save the goverment save the goverment and now now save the deal(save our faces) save the deal. nobody bothers to save this nation
