Raj Kunwar Raoul can say anything he wants!

His mummy is the defacto empress of India!

Besides, from his perspective, he is 100% correct!

When Indians can accept an Italian lady as their empress, why are they making so much fuss over India's sovereignty? This is akin to a "business girl" fighting to keep her "virginity" intact!

India's sovereignty is a myth propagated by Raoul's great grandfather's party to fool Indians into believing that they are "independent"!

The fact remains that 15th August 1947 was a day when 'power' was transferred from the British to a Britain-educated stooge and his party!

The living proof of this fact is the Indian education system and the Indian penal code!

These two systems are 90% the same as they were under British rule!

So it is our sincere request to all political parties "operating" in India to end the charade and deal with India's energy crisis more realistically!!

Nuclear Deal
by Chittaranjan Jena on Jul 17, 2008 01:37 AM  Permalink

Can we people trust Congress Party on crucial issues related to National Security.
Kashmir is a dispute, because of Congress. LOC is because of Congress. India was not a force till - pre POKHRAN because of Congress.
How much Mr Rahul Gandhi understands about national interest. So when it comes to National we Indians must not Congress.

Congress has some really talented people in its rank. Though the economy is not that great at the moment(it is everywhere, say USA / Europe), congress party can do wonder to revive country's economy.

Lights will go off soon
by Indian Indian on Jul 17, 2008 01:06 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Everything is going in the right direction for the congress as per plan. The govt. will fall soon. The deal will not be gigned(Sardaar has no Intention to get it signed). The media blitz and all the hue and cry over the Nuke deal was to put cover over the 4 year of dark ages of this govt. This govt. was a total failure and every MP was worried how are we going to go back to over voters in 2009. The deal is a face saver for this non-performing govt. It will fall soon, but as most of the people on this forum thinks 1000s of Indian voters will think 'Sardaar sacrificed his govt.' and he will also join Maino Antonia as a great Martyr...

When a PM has political alliances with parties with different motives, then it is obvious that there won't be much to show in terms of a government's performance.

But don't doubt on this Sardar's intention and vision. It's the multi-party system in India that is the bane of many ills in the Indian politics. Just see how many times we have seen elections leading to hung parliaments, horse trading, odd alliances and eventually "do-nothing-sit-tight" governments!!

Dude, we all got to reap benefits of economic liberalization started by Singh and Narasimha Rao. There were a lot of folks who were very much against it then also.

He is one of the most intelligent politicians of current day and among the most uncorrupt.
I also don't trust Sonia much but Sardar is different.

At least be decent in your communications from now onwards while participating in a public forum like this.I did not want to be harsh in my expression, but you forced me to be so.You made me give"eent ki jawab paththerse"

Mr Rahul (Alias) Gandhi do you dare to take a DNA test?
by Surabi Dilliwala on Jul 17, 2008 12:15 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The fact about Nuclear power is: Increase in power production through nuclear energy is from 2.6% to 5.5% of total power produced in India after 20 years. Expenditure is $120 Billion not including the re-organisation expenses. And driving the disappointed scientists to other countries as proffessors to sell the latest research developments. If it is going to help the economy them give me $120 Billion I will make every Panchayat in India self reliant-in power with complete employment. Don't use the name of the noble man Mr Rajiv Gandhi, he was a great visionary with humble passion for the country. There are many good leaders in Congress who share his vision. You and your mother were traumatized to hate them. Just open your mind and listen to the Representatives of the people (Your fellow MPs in parliament) there is nothing secret about it in a democracy. Don't act like a monarch and make sentimental statements using your fathers name at the last hour.

by Sandeep on Jul 17, 2008 01:06 AM  Permalink
Where do you get these future percentage numbers? Is this the basis of your argument?
At this time, current power generation is 132,000 MW. Maybe it will double by 2020(not sure). Nuclear power is projected to be 20,000 to 40,000 MW by 2020. Still that would make this anywhere from 7.6% to 15% by 2020.
Note also, even 20,000 MW which is lower projected range is about 15% of today's energy which is quite big.
Lastly, do you know currently, nuclear reactors are running at half the capacity in India?

The manipulation behind this deal is to stop our effort to develop Thorium technology. By going with n-deal all our financial resources will be drained. We will not be in a position to give serious thought on Thorium. Remember stock of Uranium in the world is depleting fast, reaching the end-point by 2070. It is not far. The present projected target is 40000MW in the next 20-30 years. It is an unrealistic projection, in my opinion. There may be some thought of PREFABRICATED PLANTS for the plants to speed-up the commissioning. A disastrous thinking for the nation. Think of the radiation hazards connected with it. By that time Uranium will reach near its end point. Then what is the need of the deal? The nuclear deal is for getting Uranium. Then question arises-what is it for? The aim of the western powers is to take away our (60% of world deposit) Thorium at their dictated price. Our leaders should be intelligent enough to read these facts. All investments made for building Uranium based plants will be wasted. Should we waste such a huge astronomically large investments?

Hark India!! The Uvraj Speaketh...
by Anil Bajpai on Jul 17, 2008 12:13 AM  Permalink

"I would tell him to take the risk again, again and again." .... cheeky guy!!! But then again...he is a UVRAJ..innit. The language itself speaks about who is actually running the mighty Indian empire.

Having said that.. I must maintain that I am personally in favour of the nuclear deal. However, quite amused at this deal being given a religious colour and Indian muslims ACTUALLY taking the bait. This can only happen in India. Shouldnt the public institute some awards for our MPs like the Best Comedien MP, the Best Liar MP, Best opputunist MP, Most scared MP, etc.... Lets see some nominees here!!
