Congrats Mumbaikars!
by Shiva on Jul 16, 2008 01:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Congrats Mumbaikars for electing a person like Govinda against Ram Naik.

In Mahabarat Bheesma in his death bed said to Yudhishtir after the war was over that for a country to be prosperous, people should not only choose good leaders, they should yearn for it.

We Indians elect Govinda against straight forward people like Ram Naik who fought against Reliance during NDA period.

Shiva

The matter of fact is Govinda is yet to understand how to run his kitchen being a full time politician.

Govinda needs to take tips from the mentor of Amitabh Bachhan, Amar Singh.

Sahdevan...do not cry too much. Whether paying 25 crore or 50 crore the Government will survive.. Why you are wasting your energy here. It is not a new thing in Indian politics and it may never end also. The left MPs are crying now because noone is offering even a peanut to them... poor guys....

The LEftists are smart, after blackmailing govt and pocketing kickbacks at every opportunity- airport privatization for e.g., now they have disassociated themselves from a marriage of convenience. They can go to Nandigram tactics and win WB atleast if not Kerala also.
Surely Cong and CPM will sleep together again after next elections.

Govinda has lost interest in politics anyway
by King c on Jul 16, 2008 01:16 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I think even Govinda has lost interest in politics. When he became MP, he found his film career in doldrums. Now he is fully focussed on his film career - licking boots of Salman Khan for roles etc. No time for constituency. Least bothered if ppl elect him next time or not

Its the fault of the electorate
by Sam on Jul 16, 2008 01:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Election of people like Govinda speaks volumes about the quality of electorates we have in our country. A vast majority of them are frreloaders who contribute nothing of value to the country but diligently vote for people like Govinda. This ensures we get third rate governance and the country is run by jokers.

We should seriously consider allowing only the tax-payers to vote in national elections and the rest should vote only in state elections. The freeloaders actually decide our destiny in this country which does not happens anywhere in the world.

Taxpayers only for Parliament Votes: is a novel concept
On deeper consideration, it would work out like the ration card idea, where 12% of the population do not have addresses and are not eligble for voting leave alone rations.
You would be blanking out 90% (guesstimate) of the population, which is a bit too much.

Sounds good though. As good as an all out nuclear war with China and Pakistan to solve our population problem

Yes, Govinda, Jaya Bhachan, Jayaprada, Hemamalini etc are not people oriented.
Elect people like Brinda, Sushma, Renuka who fight for people and also natural leaders.

(Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vayalar Ravi has reportedly asked Govinda to be present in Parliament for the trust vote on July 22 though the actor is scheduled to travel abroad to shoot a film the same day.

we want more MP's like him, the lesser these jokers are around, the lesser chances of degradation of the country. Mr.Naik seems to be keen to win back his seat so that he can make some money.

Dear Eraser,
You are absolutely correct. Just to share a very good joke with u:
The CPIM have decided that their party symbol will henceforth be a condom.
Reason: Initially it allows inflation, then halts production, destroys the next generation and most importantly - it gives u a safety factor, while the fact is that: u are being royally s*r@w(d.
