Govina's record as MP
by Bhalchandra Kulkarni on Jul 16, 2008 07:02 PM  Permalink

I write this without any political affiliation or baggage. I think anyone from any political party will agree that Ram Naik is a better public servant than Govinda.

I am a great fan of Govinda, the actor but for him to contest elections, ruin the career of an accomplished public servant, ruin his own film career and do a horrific job as a MP - everybody lost but the biggest loser is India.

Now I read that Sanjay Dutt may contest for Parliament. Apparently, their 'family' seat adjustments are going on. Sanjay Dutt has given us great movies but should we make him a MP?

Indian people are far more intelligent than politicians think or wish them to be and they need to give a clear message to such shenanigans.

In theory, these people form a group of 500-odd people that can have the most impact on India's present and future and are we going to just allow any one to join this group?

Blame the voters
by Kumar M on Jul 16, 2008 06:45 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It's not Govinda's fault. It's the voters fault who got him elected defeating Ram Naik. Voters were carried away by his filmi stuff. When Mumbai got hit with floods, he was hiding somewhere. That's democracy, India ishtyle. Just like NTR, MGR, now it's Govinda's turn. Who knows, Chiranjivi might be the next CM of AP. When idiots vote enmass, these things do happen.

Don't dare compare Govinda with even Vinod Khanna or Babbar or Sunil Dutt, who although film stars and part-time neta did their bit. You are stretching logic too far by comparing Govinda to NTR, leave alone a genuine socialist like MGR.

Joker in the Parliament
by venkat goud on Jul 16, 2008 04:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Parliament mein Jokeron ki kami, so Sonia baby selected him on congress's behalf as his films were bombing at box office. He thought he would get a script to speak in Parliament, when he found that he has to write his own speeches, he stopped going to Parliament. He just goes whenever it is mandatory so that he be a MP and utilize the benefits of being an MP. He is not even fit to be a human being. He has become a football and he should be kicked liked a football in the North Mumbai next time. Charbi Dimag pe bhi chad gayi hai usko
