King maker!
by Rohit Narayan ezhuthachan on Jul 15, 2008 05:52 PM  Permalink

All of Nanjappa's predictions about Karnataka elections went poof... Now with only 2 MPs in his kitty, what kind of king is he going to become?? Whole of India knows how a deceitful charecter he is! So we don't expect him to be king maker. Those days are gone. While he changes his colours as per his suitability, he expects everyone believe him. Big hopes!!!!

This is open dirty politics being played on a such serious and beneficial issue of Neuclear power.I am neither pro-Congress or pro-BJP but seriously hope that this deal will be done.I am going by the views of scintists and scholars like APJ Abdul Kalam. Once this is done people hopefully will throw the likes of Left and Deve Gowda out of power and vote for either Congress or BJP in a mojority.

APJ has over 30 honorary doctorate degrees. Thats different from holding a "doctorate degree". There is just very subtle difference, but a very important one :)

Prabhanjan it doesnt matter if you have a Doctorate degree then you are scientist. There are countless Doctorates with out brains.
Dont tell he is not a scientist. He was with ISRO in 1963, he contributed for the design, development and management of India’s first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle (SLV-III) to inject Rohini satellite in the near earth orbit. He was responsible for the evolution of ISRO’s launch vehicles programme and configurations. He rejoined DRDO in 1982 and conceived the Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme (IGMDP) for indigenous missiles.
He was Scientific Adviser to Defence Minister and Secretary, Department of Defence Research & Development from July 1992 to December 1999.

If you Still say the same then i feel its your personal view and keep your views to yourself because it will be BULL SHIT for others...

Do Arindam and Prabhanjan want us to believe that APJ was the Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister because he was a "failed scientist" ? And also the Secretary, DRDO ?

Where did I say APJ was a failed scientist? I maintain that he is not a scientist, and as such that there are no failed scientist whatsoever. Just get this clear :)

Its not my problem if its bullshit for u or millions. Using a mobile does not make a person technocrat. And neither a Manager of a mobile manufacturer be an engineer. If u believe and declare them as engineers or scientist, its ok. but such idiosyncrasies are not binding on me. u can celebrate them though.

Idiot, Dont speak w/o knowing about Dr.Kalam. Let me tell you my friend, research needs a skeptical mind with constant thinking. Many failures in research has sloved unanswered.Dont forget that is the seed of science and dont comment about some one who has done research with least infrastructure....

arindam is right and wrong Prasad. I am not saying APJ's opinion is wrong. Nevertheless, he is not a scientist.
On the other hand, there is nobody such as failed scientist

The fact is that APJ is not a nuclear scientist ! He is a misille man - as they say it. For nuclear deal we should consult deptt of atomic energy sceintists like those from BARC, CAT, atomic nergy commission scientists and their groups.

How much do Mr. Chatur know abt nuclear deal and the power we are goin to get from it. lets assume the deal is thru... after that we shall have to spend 250 billion dollors for for the target set for the power from nuclear deal, which is only 5% of the total requrement. the question here is...is it worth for us to invest this hard earned money for something which is giving us only5% and making us dependent on western powers... instead of selling ourselves we can invest this amount in hydro power, gas based and coal power projects. we are among pioneers in FBR reactors and thorium powered nuclear reactors. we can invest this money for further R&D in thorium tech. u shud know that India had 31%of world reserve of thorium... addind further to we can invest this money to develop URANIUM mines(500-100Cr per mine). India has known deposits of uranium which are sufficient for at least 30 years and by that time R&D in THORIUM technology will make us independent in NUCLAR POWER Technology... THINK ABOUT IT
